Hehehehee. Stubborn Connor! I love it! That's so something I would have done when I was little.

And tipping the frozen lemonade all over myself? That's so something I would do now. I'm so clumsy!!

Aww, poor kid! But that's totally something I would have done--I wasn't really a screamer, but boy could I pout and "show them" like no one else!

But as another poster said, I didn't realize that my "showing them" only meant that I didn't enjoy myself while everyone else went about their merry way. Connor will learn eventually.

I hope something else in the day makes up for the first go at TSM and the lemonade-on-pants!

You'll have to tell me how AG store is, we have been a few times to the one in Chicago. My girls want to check the Atlanta one out soon.

That is soooo something my oldest would do! In fact when she purposely sat so she couldn't see the P&PP fireworks she did! LOL! It's like they think "Huh, I'll show you, I'll just miss out on this really fun thing and then see how you like it!"

I can't believe he didn't play at all. On the ride he wanted the most. Oh stubborn children. I do hope when you use your FPs later he enjoys it more!

I feel like pulling a Toy Story Mania at work today! What do you think they would do if I just crossed my arms and pouted in my swivel chair?

I wouldn't have the will power to not play. I am impressed with Connor's skills of stubborness. Not that is necessarily a good thing.

I used to do stuff like Connor all the time!! For some reason my logic was "If i'm not doing something I like than mom will get upset" and than I'd eventually melt down in hysterics later on that I didn't get to do what I wanted. Anyway, I can't wait to be at the AKL!! I was going to do a spur of the moment Boma breakfast and see if I could get in one morning we'll see how it goes!

It was so hot already! You can almost see Connor melting in this picture from the heat.

If he wasn't 8 years old, I'd say that Connor looks like he needs to sit by the pool with a cocktail!

I was just thinking the other day that in just a few weeks I would be reading Tuck Everlasting with my 6th graders,

I love to read this book to my 6th graders. I really like the way their attitudes change from the beginning of the book to the end.

Okay Jackie--I am sure I am not alone in saying this, but you are going to HAVE to give us more of this day sooner--I just can't wait!!! As a mom to 2 beautiful emotional DDs, sometimes when they "pull a Toy Story Mania", I'm secretly a little bit happy. Because someday (sooner than later unfortunately), kids are going to start trying to convince them to do stuff they know they shouldn't do. Having the ability to stick to their convictions is a great quality to have. I just see in my constantly worrying head some kid/adolescent/teenager coming up to my DD and saying, "Hey, ya wanna go <insert bad activity here>, it's really cool". My girls (and from the sounds of it your kids) would never say, "Yeah, okay, whatever, I guess, if you say so".

So I say, "Way to go Connor, way to not give in! Show me again that you can stand up for yourself!" They're all going to need all the practice they can get, aren't they? That's how I make myself feel better anyway!

Luckily it was still pretty frozen so it just brushed right off.

See this is why I read trip reports. I am sitting here, at 11:30 laughing so hard I am crying! Probably because I am thankful it is not my kid... and knowing that is what they do when they get bigger.

So Boma for dinner rather than Breakfast. Boma is on top of my next trip eat there meals.

Have a fantastic time at American Girl... so jealous. DH is in Chicago and has a job of getting bitty babies for Christmas for Emily...she is my doll lover and is just a fanatic about those babies in the catalog and her cousin has them.... and she is always digging them out. She loves the double stroller- but no way am I letting her lug that around and up and down!

I had a hard time not laughing when I found out he had done that! I just couldn't believe he was that stubborn!

We love Boma so much! It's one of the things I most look forward to when we go to WDW!

TSM was so neat! Disney did a good job on it!

We did have fun at American Girl! It was so hard to decide what to get though! Chelsea loved her Bitty Baby when she was younger -- I think she still has all the outfits and such in her closet.

I have to admit I'm a little shocked that Connor had the mini meltdown. You're very lucky that you have a child that just sits there rather than one who screams and cries.

Pulling a Toy Story Mania I almost choked when I read that. I have to remember not to drink anything while reading your tr. Too funny!

I could never be that strong-willed either! I couldn't help but think to myself, "That's what you get for pulling a TSM!" when he dumped the lemonade, but I didn't voice it out loud.

I love that "don't pull a toy story mania" thing. In typical kid fashion, it seems that Connor didn't realize that pouting and not participating wasn't hurting Chelsea's or anyone else's good time. He'll regret it

I know it -- I think he thought he was proving a point or something, but Chelsea and I weren't affected by it in the least.

He really was that hot under the umbrella -- he was pretty much over his snit as soon as we left TSM.

Now you are down to 24 days, right?

Poor Connor! I hope his day gets better. I've seen the pictures of th queue for Toy Story Mania and it does look amazing. I'm hoping the one at DCA is just a cool, only with a shorter line by December!

Surprisingly, Connor has more moments than Chelsea some days.

We are headed back in June of 2009, if not sooner (I may be able to squeeze the finances for a short trip like we did last year).

I don't normally find sales at WDW -- I had wanted that t-shirt since last year, so I was sooo excited to find it on sale.

Yep, Chelsea's shirt says Tab -- she bought it when we went to World of Coke last summer.
