I'm not really into hard rock - I'm getting old and it gives me a headache - but I like Green Day...The Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Stooges/Iggy Pop (some people consider them more glam-punk, though)...Aerosmith and Motley Crue are as hard rock as I get.

I used to be really into punk/ska. I even had my own zine. Some of my old favorites were Swingin' Utters, Rancid, Green Day, Screeching Weasel, Pinhead Gunpowder, J Church, Less Than Jake, Tilt, Social Distortion.

These days I don't listen to that old stuff much anymore, but I still love my Green Day, Clash, Social D and some of my old ska like Mighty Bosstones, Dance Hall Crashers, Less Than Jake, Toasters.

I still like Metallica and I miss Creed. Creed's non-hits were the best IMO. I sometimes like Saliva.

been to a few GodSmack concerts but, I'm really into Lagwagon and me first and the Gimmee Gimees.About two years ago I saw Saliva open for Aerosmith and Kiss(GREAT SHOW)

Out of the bands listed on the OP I like AFI as well... I'm more into hard rock and industrial, myself.

I don't consider Green Day punk... its more top 40.

Give me stuff like the Dead Milkmen and the Dead Kennedys and now we are talking!

I even liked different avant garde stuff like Cocteau Twins (sort of Enya-esque), Jello Biafra spoken word album, Henry Rollins, and the interesting work of Mojo Nixon.

As other posters mentioned, besides Disturbed and AFI, I like Creed, Metallica, Linkin Park, and the Sex Pistols as well... Green Day too, but I don't consider them Punk or whatnot.

I like so much music, I couldn't possibly name it all here. Some fits in more than others... The Misfits, Otep, Flogging Molly, APC, Tool, Assemblage 23, The Cruxshadows.. I could go on forever! And I'm sure a lot more will be listed here that I'm fond of.

How about the grandfathers(and mother)of punk-the Velvet Underground? I am a huge fan and I heard somewhere recently they are making a movie about them. I also like the Violent Femmes, the Bloodhound Gang(although I only know a few of their songs), the Ramones(anybody remember Rock and Roll High School?) and Iggy Pop(what's with Carnival Cruise line going punk on their commercial? ). As far as heavy metal, I never really got into that too much but like some Metallica and "alternative" type rock like Green Day, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Hole, etc.

Big heavy metal fan here, especially bands from the 80's.

Favorite bands from the 80's:

Dokken, Motley Crue, Dio, Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Metallica ....

Loved most of the alternative music from the 90's:

Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Bush ....

Also, love a couple of bands, not sure how to classify them, they are:

Depeche Mode and Cheap Trick................


Bands I'm really into right now are:

Institute (Gavin Rossdale); 30 Seconds to Mars; Linkin Park...........most other new stuff/bands stink!!
