Well we needed to relax after all that excitement, so we headed over to ride the Mark Twain boat.
We rode a few other rides when we decided that we were getting hungry. We wanted to celebrate the engagement of my brother and my new SIL, so we wanted to eat somewhere nice...now all DISer's know that it takes weeks even months in advance to make ressie's for a sit down place like the Blue Bayou or Steakhouse 55.
So we walk over to Guest Relations at the front of the park. There is a phone in there that you can make calls on for dinner reservations and anything else you can think of..So I make the call and the cast member was very helpful...I asked her if there were any tables available for five for about 600pm...Storyteller's Cafe was available! Perfect! So I make ressie's and we head over to the GCH.
We still had about 40 minutes to spare so we go to the Lounge of the GCH...we scored a table right around the fireplace..this is the only pic I got dangit!
I had the Double Espresso Martini! Yummola!
After our delicious cocktails, we walked over to the Storyteller's cafe! It is very homey in there!
I was very happy with our meals...what I liked about the place was that you had the option of getting a buffet meal or a sit down meal..DH was the only one who got the buffet option and he loved it! I had the chicken at first, which was really good, but then my mom's steak was to rare for her, so I gladly traded with her! I love me some red meat!!!
Then the waiter came out with a little cupcake to congratulate my bro and my sil on their engagement!
Too cute!
By this time, it was getting close to 8pm, so we decided to go back to the room. My Dh and I had decided earlier that week that we would go see Up at the AMC theaters in DTD at 9pm, so we went and watched that, while my brother and his new fiance, went to the jacuzzi, and my mom relaxed in her room..
BTW, Up was awesome! Silly, sad, and cute! My poor DH...he held back some tears! It was a terrific movie though!
On our way back to the DLH I took some pics of the waterfalls
These pics don't capture the true beauty of the falls..
We completely crashed when we got back to our rooms...we needed to rest up for another day..
Next day: Bouncers!
