.....is that when you fall, you fall hard:lmao: .

I've spent the past couple of days sorting photos and looking over my cartridges. In doing so I realized two things:

-I will need more than one album to scrap this trip.
-I don't like the ZooBalloo animals so much but I have good AK pics this time that require the Animal Kingdom cartridge.

When I was at Mouse Memories I picked up the 12 x 12 Mickey and Friends album. They are showing none in stock, so I went to the Sandy Lion site and ordered another one, since I want the albums that are about the 8/18-8/25 portion of the trip to match. I also have a portion of the trip that was the kids and me (without DH) with my sister, and I want to do a separate album of that...and they had a cute 12 x 12 FLOCKED Mickey, so that jumped into my cart, too. There is NO way that 10 page protectors will be enough, so I also ordered a bunch of those (why pay shipping twice, right?).

I thought I was done, but the AK thing was bothering me. Then I remembered Hallmark Scrapbook was having a cart sale, and before I knew it, I'd submitted the order (I was at least reasonably good in that I didn't buy anything else).

That's my confession for the day. DH mentioned that he may have joined the DIS, but I hope he hasn't:rotfl2: !

Oooo, if he joined yous gonna be in bigs trouble (jaja binks voice there)

I think all your items are reasonable. I do like the AK cart animals better than the Zooballoo ones too. I like the font of Zooballoo, so it isn't a wasted cart.

And hey, you saved on shipping. :thumbsup2 Smart planning there.

I'll be going through my photos on Tuesday or Wednesday to figure out what I will need. I did buy an accordian folder holder thing at Wal-mart yesterday. Just like the ones rlovew showed us. :thumbsup2 I'm going to make up kits for weekly page making.

someone should just write out the whole falling off the ban wagon like the if you give a mouse a cookie story.... that's what it reminds me of. :) I have been quite good this month but only because I have discovered digital scrapping (or as my pal spinning calls it, "fake scrapping". :) haven't bought a thing scrapping related AND I've gotten 20 pages done. (and let me tell ya, I CAN'T remember the last time I've done that many pages in a really long time :) ) maggie

Well, jump back up on the ban wagon and realize that at least by using the ban the rest of the year even a bit of spending now didn't put you as much in the whole as previous spending.

Funny, I don't think you went overboard at all.:confused3 ;) :rotfl2:

I am still at my gathering pictures stage of the trip. I'll let you know how hard I fall when I get to that point.:rotfl2:

Oh boy! If you showed some restraint ya did good! :thumbsup2

I just culled down my second half of pix down to 220 & ordered them from
Winkflash ... and realize the things I will "need" to complete the pages ...
heck, I may even plan the layouts while waiting for pix .... or maybe not :rotfl:

And I agree on the AK cart ... it's next on my cart list. :thumbsup2
Will check out Hallmark Scrapbook!

Have y'all heard that a Hannah Montana cart is coming out?

Well, I'm definitely off the ban wagon - we just drove south through scrapbook country! Not having had an LSS in our area for over a year, I DID some damage, starting in Charlotte, NC. Spent about 45$ on paper and ribbon including the Lionel kit to do my dh childhood train photos. Then in Jacksonville - OMG the Crop Shop on the corner of Old Saint Augustine and Hartley - It's HUGE and laid out in such a logical fashion. Even with dh looking over my shoulder trying to 'help', I managed to escape spending only $100. The last place was over in Orange Park, still in St Augustine. They specialize in kits that they make up, so no photos. They were having a yard sale - I was so good! I only spent $5 on the yard sale and $5 in the store.

Of course when we get back from the cruise, there's still MouseMemories, and the Scrappy Boutique and PikTails . . .

You all are not alone ... we just got back from our Disney trip with a side trip to AL. Let me just say I am in LOVE with Hobby Lobby. Don't have them in Jersey. Not only do they carry the Bind it All and supplies but they have House Mouse, Happy Hopper and Gruffie stamps. Lucky me visited there when they had there 50% off stamp sale. Michaels and A C Moore has nothing compared to Hobby Lobby.

Its a real help for me having no real stores - but virtual shopping can be as bad. I've been fairly good - except when Scrappiundeals tempted me with basic grey paper one Wild Wednesday, as obviously I had to spend $25 to get the cut price set:rolleyes1

kim i so know how you feel. i told dh yesterday that i've been spending like a rock star the last few weeks. :scared1: why i did that is beyond me. maybe it was like going to confession!!!!!:confused3 i really have to curb it now. i also spent a ton on back to school stuff for my little man. holy cow. on the up side he will be the best dressed 1st grader in rhode island!!! my mom said to me yesterday, good grief-you're lucky you only have one to dress. you'd be in the poor house if you had any more kids!!! but the childrens place had killer deals yesterday and i could not help myself. and then dh took us to vanity fair in the afternoon and i could not even stand the deals there. i bought lee sweatshirts for 6.00. i mean he's gonna need them right? so why not get them now. and i just had to buy a new jean skirt for $4.00!!! couldn't pass that up, right?:confused3 and i just needed new shoes right???:confused3!

A girl always needs new shoes. :rolleyes1

Lisa is my best friend! :lmao: I gave up trying to stay on the ban a long time ago. I went to Archivers on Saturday and spent $60 (hey, by doing that I got 50 free prints from Shutterfly)! But they had the new Bazzill stitching kits, so much fun!

Holly, I know what you mean, I couldn't stop buying for DD for school. The bad news is that I DO have more than one. Although DS isn't in school yet, thank goodness. AND I have talked DH into going to the outlet mall today- we have the best outlet mall 30 minutes from here. The sales are going to be so good today. I can't wait!

have fun ashley! get some good stuff!!!!

I dread to think what school uniform adds up to - DS(14) is moving into adult sizes for trousers and stuff so they get tax on them unlike regular school kit, plus new blazer from the outfitters, PE kit ditto and so on. At least DS(8) can manage with chain store stuff - the school does have uniform with embroidery available but luckily most of it was handed down from big DS so its only a few polo shirts needed. But £40 for school shoes hurts:headache:

Basic grey paper is my downfall! I have tons of basic grey that I don't want to use because it's "too pretty" to cut, cover etc. But everytime HL has a 50% off sale on paper packs, I buy another one or maybe more. Good thing I didn't know about scrappindeals or I may have had more.

Exactly - its "too nice" to use - so why get it? Or "I don't want to waste a whole piece on one page" - so what's it for then?:lmao:

Scrappindeals also do "toning" Bazzill packs to go with each collection - not that I'm encouraging you
