A little OT here, but did you guys see the Dirty Jobs episode where Mike was shearing the alpacas? Hilarious! :rotfl2: (Of course, all the Dirty Jobs are crazy.)

:lmao: my fil used to say that, not about the llama though;) about his mil :lmao:

I could be biased, but I'm thinking the Canadian llamas are better looking! Perhaps it's the longer bangs that soften the face?!

Wow, one thing I just noticed is that yours hasn't been sheared but the ones here have been. They have none of that real fluffy fur on their bodies at all. They look very small in comparison to yours. Of course, I took these photos last summer, so maybe they shear them to keep them cool.

Here is a full body shot.

Well, mine were taken this weekend...just coming out of a Canadian winter so they are still very woolley here. I must say, I find llamas far more attractive with the wool (or hair?).

I'm itching to go take some shots of my friends horses but she refuses to let me anywhere near the barn until all those winter coats have been shed. Strange how thick coats look great with a backdrop of lots of snow, but in spring, they're just plain nasty!

speaking of ugly ratty winter coats, not necessarily llama in origin..guess nobody was adventurous enough to try to shear or at least comb out this guy since this was in Sept
