Hi.

We are travelling (2 adults and 2 kids under 7 years of age) to France and DLRP at the end of August 2008. I would very much like to get Annual Pass Dream for me and my wife.

I've read in this forum about different ways to buy annual tickets.

Can anyone share which way they preferred to buy the Annual Pass, and how they experienced it?

Did you pree-book online on the french site, order by phone, buy at the entrance or in the Disneyland Park itself?

What is your experience with the different booking methods?

I'm planning to go in either October or November and I'm going to get it in person at DLRP when I arrive. I wouldn't trust buying it either over the telephone or online but then others whose French is ok might have better luck!!

I wouldn't buy it in advance as you would lose time on potentential return visit time next year. ( imagine if you decide to go again in August next year but then have to buy another AP ! )

Im buying some in September and have got sponsership ( look at the other thread )

This will save me 10% on the cost of the AP's, all you have to do is take it to customer relations at the entrance who will give you temporary passes to allow you in to get to the passport control where they will issue you your annual passport there and then.

Saving 10% would be my preferred choice and seems to be the tried and tested method of getting AP's

Hope this helps

Buy in person at the parks when you get there - it doesn't take long, and if you go to the Guest Services desk just to the right of the ticket turnstiles, the staff there will be able to help you with any sponsorship you may have, and also the free childrens AP's when bought with an adult one.

If you order your AP's through the post or by phone, you can't get the childrens free ones (as you need proof of age and they take photographs of each of you for each pass) and the passes have to be activated (ie by a visit to the park) within 30 days of you getting the passes in the post anyway.

But do take into account you can not combine 10% off from sponsorship with free child passes.

I have read on other posts that if you buy a day ticket each and then go to AP office, the price you have paid for the child ticket is NOT refunded, just the adults. So buy your APs from the Park Entrance

Yes, Guest Services is open from the start of EMH time (8am).

hi

i was wondering if i could buy my pass the evening before my first day. Would i need to pay parking etc to do it or would they reimburse me. Rather like to get it on the evening before so i can go straight in on the first day.

thanks

I think you can but you pass is valid from the day you get it. You would have to pay for parking.

Ditto :thumbsup2

We have always bought from the desk that Elaine describes unless it has been to renew. Which we went straight to the AP bureau to complete :)

Hi, is the free kids deal on for long as we're planning on going in Jan and if the kids get free ap's then we will book seperate hotel and do it that way, if not we will do a package?
Also is it worth one adult buying cheap one 89e and one the fantasy to keep budget down? Would that affect the free kids ones?
Sorry, been a few times but never purchased ap's but fancy visiting a few times next year!

This promotion is up to 7th September 2008 so far - but it has been extended twice already.

Just wondering the opening hours of the ticket office to buy an annual pass. what time do they shut?

I'm not sure what time the actual ticket offices close, but last week the AP office closed at 8pm (park closed at 11pm). We bought our tickets at 6.30pm no problem, but we had to get them changed at the AP office before it closed at 8pm.

thanks....are the two booths very close...is it possible to buy passport temporary pass and then go to passport office for the passport? cannot make up my mind whether to go early the day after we arrive...think the ticket office opens at 8 doesnt it? or go the day before and spend an hour or so in disney down main street and get the passes all sorted that evening. what do people think?

They are close - but not next to each other.
The ticket booths and Guest Services office are just outside the park turnstiles, the AP office is inside the park, at the top right of Main St USA, and past the entrance to Discoveryland.

Less than 10 minutes walk - if you don't get distracted with all the shops etc on Main St that is :rotfl: !

I thought the free children's AP was on until much later in the year - not until 7th September. I'm sure I read on here it's on until November?

Can anyone confirm please?

We go 28th Sept and were going to get APs for DH & I and then get a free one for DD1 who will be 3.5 years. I do hope to get the free one for her!

I think its 7th November, the current offer is on to, isn't it?

Sorry PJackson, it seems I was the one who confused you with the date - I don't know where I got September from, I think its November (as thats the current print of the sponsorship form as well).

Phew Elaine - :rotfl2: You had me worried there

thanks for the clarification :thumbsup2
