96 days!:dance3:

Still waiting out the airfares. I'll probably let things go a couple more weeks and see if they'll drop any more. $345 isn't that bad, but I'm hoping we can do better!

:cool1: $345 is good from here right now. Mine dropped to $350 for 2 second and are now back up to $470. :faint: Can you buy from the actual airline vs Expedia or the like? Then if the fare drops they'll work with you where Travelocity and those won't. :headache:

I usually use the search sites to find the cheaper fares and then I go directly to the airline to buy the tickets. So if the price goes down, the airline will generally refund you the difference?

We usually travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which are the cheapest days to fly, but we're leaving on a Saturday this time, so I have to accept that it's going to be a little higher than usual. :scared:

95 days -- I hope.

I passed on the $345 tickets, and now everything seems to be going back up! I hope there will be another drop or a DING! or something. I feel kind of foolish now taking the gamble. I hope it paid off.

I also sent off my application for the Disney World Moms panel. I think one of my answers was pretty stupid, but at least I tried!

Please send pixiedust: that I'll be able to find a good airfare again!

:goodvibes I am taking the same chance and am starting to think I should have taken the $350 when given the opportunity. :sad1: You've still got 2 good months so hopefully you'll hit a one day fare sale! :thumbsup2

It's such a bummer when you pass on something. I'll bet you'll find lots of specials before it's time for your trip. I know I have to consider the situation this year, but I have such a hard time paying more than $100 per ticket more than we paid the last two years.

:yay: :yay: 96 days!!!!!!!!!:dance3: :dance3:

Hopefully that's enough to help!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :thumbsup2

Di x

Thanks Di! I'm just realizing we might have to compromise a bit. We may have to leave earlier or later than we'd like or book a flight with 2 stops instead of one. DH and I have to have a conferece about all of this.

What do you all think about taking a red-eye with a baby? He sleeps through most of the night anyway, so maybe that would be a good time to go! :confused3

I feel ya! It chaps my hide to think how little we paid for flights last year and to imagine that we may pay over double this year. :faint:

:confused3 That's tough because do you think you'll get any sleep or will you be wiped out the day you arrive? I could never do a red eye but that's me. Keith, remember who he is  swears by them though.

I also sent off my application for the Disney World Moms panel. I think one of my answers was pretty stupid, but at least I tried!
Are they doing that again????

Pity about the flight price but I'm sure they'll come down again :thumbsup2

I know! And then add on charging for luggage! All of these new fees can really make a dent in the vacation budget!

After I talked about it with DH, we decided that the red-eye is probably not the best for us. It's still an option, though, if we can't find anything else.

Are they doing that again????
Yeah, they're accepting applications until the 19th or they get 20,000 entries, whichever comes first.

Pity about the flight price but I'm sure they'll come down again :thumbsup2
I sure hope so! :goodvibes I can only imagine how much international flight prices must have increased! :scared1:

So I found a Continental flight for $311 RT plus baggage fees. The times aren't ideal, but that may be our best bet.

The deal wasn't good on my dates. Thanks for the cool website though! I'll have to keep following it! :goodvibes

Hi Bev-I saw you on Jenny's PTR (the million page one) and thought I'd help you "save" your PTR, but it doesn't look like it needs saving to me. You've got lots of friends! :cool1:

I'll hang out for the fun though. "Bean" is what I called my oldest when he was little too. I started calling him that from the first ultrasound when I was about 9 weeks pregnant (which in hindsight was TODAY...7 years ago...weird. But it really was. I know because my first Dr's appointment for him was the day before Sept. 11th...I was foolish enough to tell my principal-I was teaching at the time-ON Sept. 11th-in between the two planes crashing-that I was pregnant. I was nervous and wanted to get it over with. Probably not the best time...). ANYWAY, I digress. He was "little bean" for a long time, and then "little bug" and then his brother was "little bug" and now neither of them are that little anymore...but sometimes I still call both of them "bug". Wow, I couldn't highjack your thread any more than this could I?

My vote for the big dinner would be WCC too, but I haven't read the recent reviews, and I've also never been there. I've been lots of places though (we used to live in FL...grew up there), so if I can be of any help, ask away!

The Bean is a cutie, just so you know (as if you needed me to tell you!). How old is he?

Okay, I'm really going to stop hijacking now. Have a great night!

If you passed on those earlier flights, there is a reason!!! You'll find the right price for you...I KNOWS IT!!!

:welcome: Heather! Thanks for visiting!

:rotfl: Can you believe it's been seven years? I'm sure it's gone by faster for you because of your little boy, but, just like you, I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing on 9/11/01. It doesn't seem that long ago.
Very cute that your boys are both "bugs." :goodvibes I'll have to check out your threads to see if you have some pics!

Thanks! It looks lke 'Ohana has a commanding lead in my poll, so that may be where we go. I can't really finalize anything until we get flights booked, so I hope that happens soon.

Thanks! I like him quite a bit. He turned five months old yesterday. It's hard to believe.

 Not good for mine either. Wonder if they are good for any dates? ;)
Probably only on a Wednesday morning at 2 a.m., and only if you're willing to fly with the baggage. ;)

If you passed on those earlier flights, there is a reason!!! You'll find the right price for you...I KNOWS IT!!!

 Thanks for the optimism! It's much appreciated! :goodvibes

I'm getting pretty close to making a reservation. We can fly SW for about $345 a piece, and the flight to Orlando is direct, which would be nice. If nothing monumental happens in the next few days, I'll just probably go ahead and book it so I don't have to worry anymore.

I think $345 direct flight is pretty good. I think you can make changes to SW flights without charge.

The only bad side to SW is that you can't check your bags at the resort before flying home. Other than that, I  SW!
