What else are your kids looking forward to?
Everything!!!!! :cool1: DD is really looking forward to the roller coasters/her make over at BBB/meeting the Princesses. princess: DS is looking forward to ToT/MS (ie., making me nauseous)/PoC pirate:
DH is most looking forward to Biergarten ! :drinking1 We're going there for dinner too! What's the Candlelight Processional? I've never heard of that :confused3

You're other ADR's sound really good - we're also going to WCC (have heard great things about it - Earthfairies said the skillet is fab :thumbsup2 ). And we're also having breakfast at 1900 PF! We had a really nice meal at Garden Grill in Epcot, traditional food - it's a character meal though, so it depends what you want at dinner! :rotfl:
We also have an ADR at Restaurant marrakesh - it's meant to be very nice as well - have checked the menu though, they don't appear to serve cockroaches! :rolleyes1

Very fun! I wanted my nieces to do the BBB when we went, but their mom passed. When I was there two years ago, there were so many little girls in their princess dresses, all made up for the MNSSHP--absolutely adorable!

DS is looking forward to ToT/MS (ie., making me nauseous)/PoC
:rotfl2: ToT is the only ride I WILL NOT go on! Since I was pg last time we went, I had a good excuse. I'm praying that DH doesn't drag me on it! Grandpa said that he likes those kind of rides, so maybe he can take my place.

DH is most looking forward to Biergarten ! :drinking1 We're going there for dinner too!
Have you been there before? You'll have to tell me how it is after you get back!

What's the Candlelight Processional? I've never heard of that :confused3
It's a special Christmas thing at EPCOT, where they tell the Christmas story with a choir, music, a celebrity narrator and such. I've never been, but I'm looking forward to it.

I was thinking about Garden Grill--that's on the short list if I decide to change something. Have you been to any of these places before?

We ate there once--no cockroaches that I know of!

ToT is the only ride I WILL NOT go on!
I actually really enjoy ToT, I'm terrified of heights, but love ToT - go figure! :confused3

Have never been to WCC, Biergarten before, but are really looking forward to them! Will definately let you know how I get on!
Have been to breakfast & dinner at 1900 PF (just doing breakfast this time, though apparently the step sisters are at dinner now), and we're going back to Garden Grill for dinner again!

That sounds really lovely! :santa: I don't think they'll do that in September though when we're going :sad2:

We've got 13 ADR's for this trip, we didn't get everywhere we wanted, but I'm still really pleased with them :)

I hate rides where you drop. I usually enjoy roller coasters and such, but I am terrified of freefalling.

How is breakfast at PF? Is it something that a bunch of adults would enjoy, or is it mostly little kids? We wanted to see the GF's decorations, and breakfast seemed like a good time.

13 ADRs! That's awesome! I'll have to check them all out on your PTR.

The food is really nice. The characters are Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad hatter and usually Pooh and Tigger. There is a really good selection of food, a chef makes omelettes fresh for you (a sign of class in my book!)
GF is just stunning! You'll love spending time there! :thumbsup2

Here come the ADRs!

Saturday night: Arrive, probably just eat at Pepper Market.

Sunday: Lunch ADR at Coral Reef.

Monday: Dinner ADR at Whispering Canyon

Tuesday: Dinner ADR at Biergarten--part of the Candlelight Processional package

Wednesday: Breakfast at 1900 Park Faire.

So--those are the ADRs for now. Any thoughts? Other suggestions of fun places with homestyle/traditional food? Or places that serve cockroaches? ;)

Coming next: Our little itinerary.

The Pepper Market menu looks great! :thumbsup2

We loved the Coral Reef. :teeth: Their steak is delish. :cloud9:

Keith and Tracy love Whispering Canyon. :)

Biergarten looks good but I am afraid the kids wouldn't like it.

1900 Park Faire looks fun!!!! :goodvibes

I think you need to stay longer!!!! :woohoo:

Sounds great. I can't wait! The CM who booked our trip said that seeing the GF Christmas tree is a must!

Me too! :confused3 But between making sure DH is home for his night classes and making sure I have enough leave for Christmas and New Year's, we had to make this trip a little shorter. :sad2:

The teeny tiny itinerary!

One day, we'll have a lot of money and go to WDW for weeks at a time. But this is not the day for that.

This really will be a quick trip, and it will take some doing to see everything we'd like to see. The thing is, this trip really is more about seeing the lights and some shows and parades--we'll go on some rides, but we won't be trying to hit everything, since DH and I have been on all of the rides (except Toy Story Mania), and The Bean and The Grandparents won't want to (or can't) go on all of the rides.

So here's a tentative schedule, which is subject to change as soon as The Bean decides he's tired and wants to go back to the hotel:

Day 1: Arrive! We don't know when, but probably sometime early evening, I hope. We'll grab dinner at the Pepper Market, and then if we're up to it, head over to MK for Wishes and maybe a few rides.

Day 2: Sleep in a little, and then head to EPCOT. Try to hit Test Track (one of my faves that I didn't get to do when I was pg  ), Living with the Land (I know I'm a nerd, but I love that ride!), and Soarin'. We may have to do a little baby swappin' in places, but that shouldn't be a problem.
We have lunch ressies at Coral Reef. After that, we'll either check out a little of WS or head back to the room, depending on what we're up to.

That evening, it's off to DHS so we can see the Osborne lights--I'm so excited for this! I'm also psyched for Toy Story Mania. DH and Grandpa will go on ToT--we'll all go on the Movie Ride, and that's about it! We may see Fantasmic, we may go over to Beaches and Cream. Who knows? We're breezy!:cool2:

Day 3: It's EMH at AK, so that's our first stop. Again, we'll hit some of the biggies, like Everest and the safari. We'll see Nemo and the Lion King, and check out whatever else looks fun. We'll have some lunch, and head back for the afternoon.

Then, after a little rest, it's over to Whispering Canyon for dinner and MK for as much of the evening as we'd like. I'd like to hit Splash Mountain, BTMRR, and Space Mountain. Also, Buzz, Carousel of Progress, Philharmagic, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, and Dumbo (for the bean). I'm sure there are other rides I love, but that's all I can think of right now! That's a lot, but we have tomorrow to do some of this.

Day 4: This is still a little up in the air. Probably, we'll try to do rope drop at MK and then spend a bit of the morning/afternoon before our mid-day break.
Then, it's back to EPCOT for the evening. We have Biergarten dinner ressies and candlelight processional at 6:45. Then we'll just meander through as much of WS as we can. It's evening EMH, so we'll have time.

Day 5: We go home! What a short trip! If our flight schedule allows, we'll hit 1900 Park Faire for breakfast and maybe Earl of Sandwich for lunch. I heart Earl--I can't believe we might have to miss him this time! :scared1:

And then, we fly home, get ready for bied, and go back to work. Yippee.

Until I come up with some more exciting trip-planning activities, I'll share memories from trips past.

Next time: What happened on Splash Mountain? I know you can't wait to find out!

Sounds great! Christmas trips are so fun - you'll have a blast!

You'll have to tell me how you all liked WCC. That was originally on my list but I nixed it to wait for when DS is a little older and can appreciate the jokes.

I'm so jealous that you'll be seeing all the decorations. That's something I haven't gotten around to yet in life. Maybe someday.

Also, I hope you luck out and get the queen size beds in CSR. I think that'll be the place I try next. Looking forward to hearing what you think!

:thanks: I am so excited -- this is something I've wanted to do for a while.

It looks like a lot of fun. I hear that your server can make or break the experience, so I hope we get a good one! I'm mostly doing this one for DH and Grandpa. They like silly stuff like WCC. :goodvibes

I hope we get the queen beds too! ::yes:: I am very excited to try CSR. I haven't been disappointed yet by the mods, so we'll see how this compares to POR and POFQ!

[. I heart Earl--I can't believe we might have to miss him this time! :scared1:

It took me a minute to figure out what you mean! I kept thinking..."who's earl"?

Yeah, I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack!

Awesome reservations! Sounds like you have a great plan, I need to make my reservations very soon now, hopefully some of the good places will still be left!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

:welcome: BellesMom!
Are you talking about ressies for the September trip listed in your sig? If so, it's best to get them as soon as you can--the restaurants fill up quickly during free dining.
Where are you staying? What restaurants are you thinking of? I'm excited to hear about your plans!

Top Ten Foodstuffs!

So I was going to tell you all about my exciting experience on Splash Mountain, but then I had this great idea for a Top Ten list. I decided to make a list of my 10 favorite food items (so far) at WDW. So, here they are:

10. The potatoes at Ohana breakfast. I don't have pics of them, but here is DH eating them:
2007_1122house0274-1.jpg

9. The Sour Apple Freeze at Le Cellier. Everybody talks about the steaks and the soup, but the freeze is where it's at!

8. The Montegu (I think that's what it's called) at Earl (of Sandwich ;) )

7. The fried cheese at 50s Primetime. You don't get a lot, but what you get is good.

6. The rolls at LTT--so good. I could have eaten a billion of them.

5. Brownie Sundae at 50s Primetime: I was about 11 weeks pregnant and majorly nauseous, but sugar never made me sick! It was just a brownie sundae, but it was good, and big, and chocolatey:
2007_1122house0179-1.jpg

4. the sorbet/berry dessert at CRT. The rest of the food wasn't great, but this was fresh, light, and tasty! Here's a pic:

3. The tomato soup at Earl.

2. This big German Chocolate cookie that DH and I shared at the Germany Pavilion.

1. Dole Whip! :woohoo:

So there you have it--my top ten! What are your faves? What do I need to try on the next trip?

I don't know if I have ten but maybe five?
1. The crème brûlée at Chefs du France,
2. The cheese plate with a Pimms cup at Rose and Crown (must be had on the patio by the water)
3. The stuffed frittery french toast at the Crystal Palace (I told DD to enjoy because it was the only place she would ever eat something that sweet for breakfast!)
4. Real tea at the Grand Floridian Garden View lounge - heaven!
5. And those dipped strawberries with the bow ties and champagne on our balcony from room service!

I just love love LOVE Disney World!

Me too! I can't wait to go back! :cool1: That french toast sounds so good . . . I might have to add CP to my ressies!

I didn't know you had a trip report going!

Your plan sounds great! You will LOVE the Osborne Lights! We haven't been lucky enough to get there at Christmas before, but did get to do this at a CM preview and I was blown away. I am dying to take the kids there to see them one day! Oh! And you get to see the gorgeous lit up Castle! I was blown away by the pics of them online and can't imagine how much more fabulous they would be in person!

I couldn't help but notice that your top ten list is missing the chocolate mousse from the bakery in France! I always get one of those and Keith gets a cream puff and we try and get a bite of each on our spoons lol.

Are you excited to get Yoda his first ears?

:thumbsup2 Your plans sounds terrific! That sundae looks amazing! I heart food porn. :cloud9:

The Osbourne Lights are reason enough to go in Decemeber, or so I have read. pixiedust:

:welcome: Tracy! Glad you made it! :cheer2: I am so excited to see the lights. DH and I usually aren't big fans of DHS, so every time he talks about skipping it, I have to remind him about the lights! There's a little video clip on the WDW site that shows them, and I could just watch it for hours! I think this is something the whole family will enjoy!

That sounds so yummy! I have never been to the bakery in France, but I'll put it on the list for this trip!

Are you excited to get Yoda his first ears?
That was one of the first things DH decided to do, once we scheduled this trip. :yoda: is not too fond of hats, much to my dismay :sad2: but he will LOVE his mouse ears!

:thumbsup2 Your plans sounds terrific! That sundae looks amazing! I heart food porn. :cloud9:
:rotfl: It was a good sundae. I'm going to do a better job of taking food pics this time. My family mocked me every time I did it, but my niece wanted me to take pictures of her sundae too, so I think I have a convert!

All this talk of food is making me hungry. I think I have some grapes and a low-fat Oreo I can gnaw on until lunch time :faint:
