The pre-trippie lives!--The trip report has started!

Hello!
I may just be saying hello to myself, but here I am, poised to begin a pre-trippie for a fun, totally unexpected December vacation!

Here's the lowdown-- five days, four nights, 12/13-12/17 at CSR w/ DDP.

There are so many questions that need answering:
1. Why am I going to WDW?
2. Who's coming with me?
3. Why am I taking a bean?

These and other questions will be answered as I continue my journey back to WDW -- Woohoo!

I have some kind of nasty stomach bug that is keeping me from the pre-trippie. As soon as I heal, I'll be back with all the juicy details!

So, I'm all healed and ready to begin!

Chapter I: Why WDW? Why now?
I've been trying to figure out how to explain why we decided to take this unexpected trip to WDW, and I'm not really sure myself! But here's what I've come up with:

1. DH and I love WDW. We love the planning and preparation, and we love being in the parks. Once we get the idea in our heads, it's hard to let go of it.

2. We had the opportunity to get a good deal at DL, but the more we thought about it, the more we wanted to go to WDW instead. Plus, I got one of those magical PIN numbers, so we couldn't resist!

3. I've always wanted to see the parks during the holiday season, and this was a great chance to do that.

4. DH works in a school for troubled youth. He puts in very long hours, and he doesn't get a summer vacation. He deserves a nice break.

5. We have some special people that we're taking with us on this trip. They will be introduced in the cast of characters (coming soon), and we're so excited to share one of our favorite places with them!

6. The thought of being in Florida while it's snowing here fills my heart with joy.

Combine all of these things together, and you get DH and I deciding last weekend that we could and should take another trip! More about our plans will come shortly.

I would love to see the world at christmas time, but until my dh is done with school and gets a new job that won't be happening. From the end of oct to the midddle of january is impossible for him to get time off.

Yes! I will take LOTS of pictures. I am so excited to see everything decorated for the holidays, especially MGM/DHS/whatever we're calling it these days! It's usually my least favorite park, but the lights look so neat!

What is your DH studying? My DH is also in grad school right now, so that's one reason why our trip isn't very long.

Here's what I learned last night:
It's WAY easier to get ADRs when it's not free dining season! But I will discuss that more at a later time (even if I'm discussing it all alone ).
