I looked on the weather channel website and they said IKE traveled 1200 miles leaving damage across a 200 mile wide path from Texas to NY.
My power came back on yesterday morning around 6 a.m. based on the time logged on my digital clock when I got home last night.
In my area, they are saying this was the worst damage since the April 3, 1974 tornado outbreak. No neighborhood in our area was untouched by the devastation cause by the Hurricane Category 1 force winds of IKE. The only good thing was there was no rain, as I believe the damage would have been much worse.
Thank you to all Public Service/Electric Company employees for your hard work in helping to restore power across every effected area. A contractor from Florida was killed last night, while helping to restore power in our area. Our condolences to his family.
