Great update!! Your last night sounded like a blast! I am shocked that you found TWO characters doing double duty. I have never noticed that before, I will have to pay attention to this trip! (even though my 'old' children (ages 12 and 15) have informed me they do not need to meet characters or do autographs this time!) So who knows maybe I will meet them by myself!
Especially if I could meet Prince Charming!!! although that one was not as 'Princey" as one that I saw in the parade one year.......woowheeeeee where's the 'hottie' smiley face icon. lol

YAY for Prom pics!!! That sounded like the most perfect first Prom for you! And you do have the coolest mom and dad, but we already knew that. Tell them thumbs up for me!! As a mom to teenagers, we worry about the after party after any dance really, but especially prom, so that was great of them to do that.

Did I notice you say "a princess meal or TWO..."? Does that mean another is coming for your last morning at Disney???

You girls looked beautiful! This makes me feel old though...my Prom was 8-9 years ago and all my pictures were on FILM! We had to wait a week or so to get all the pictures back, no one had a digital camera! Oh man...when did I get old??

Really enjoying your TR so far. You have a very upbeat vibe and so far you haven't mentioned anything of a downer or where it was a downer and you exemplified that fact LOL I'm so happy to find someone else who LOVES the Garden Grill! I love that place so much, its my family favorite. Even my dad (anti-Disney) doesn't mind me bringing it up, he loved the food there so much. And it is also a great character experience. I can't wait to read about what other adventures you got yourselves into Subbing... NOW!

Well, they were just starting to become popular. I got my first one when I was a sophomore in college, so maybe 6 years ago now? And I got it on a super sale so it was $200...and the quality was not the same as it is now! Oh! And the memory card? I think it was 56mb! So small! I was still one of the first of my friends to even get a digital camera Now I'm replacing mine on my next trip with my phone!! Crazy!!

I sure did. I just forgot to comment. But that was such a fun meal and the food is AMAZING. I'm so glad I got to go back! Prince Charming looked like he could be my brother. But oh well. The characters were all great, even if some of them doubled up... But I definitely liked that one girl better as Ariel than Cinderella, but she was great at being both! She was gorgeous, she really could be any princess! And yeah we spent like an hour tops at DTD, but whatever. I was like in a daze at that point lol. And we thought that diaper in the hallway was SO FUNNY. We were delirious by then. And you running away from a fire.... Seriously you were like "Na na na, wheeree's our room??!!? La da da...WOOPS." Love you.

Love the prom pics Your Dress looks soooooooooo pretty!!!!!!! Fun that you went to Niagara Falls! That sounds like a great post prom! The school I went to for high school always had a school spnsored post prom where we took a coach bus up to chicago, which is about a half hour-an hour from where I live, and we took a cruise out on lake michigan from navy pier and they just took the boat in one huge circle for a couple of hours. It was really pretty and I loved it. Actual prom was really fun 2 though. Glad the weather was nice for you! I would have felt so bad for you otherwise. I know all about terrible spring weather this year. a couple of days ago it was in the 80's and now we are dealing with the 50's.

I really dislike this weather!!!!!! I'm guessing you are also from the northern half of the country. I'm from chicago and they have a saying that if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. it feels like i've been waiting forever. i hope it warms up really soon because i don't think i can tolerate this weather in july.

Chapter 28 - Akershus
January 19th, 2011

Good morning... for the last time. This was our last day in Disney and we were all very sad. Nobody wanted to leave!

Thankfully, we still had a whole morning/early afternoon ahead of us, so there was no time for moping!!

You may have thought that all of our fun meals were over. But if you paid close attention to the last update, I said that we were perhaps "going to end off the trip with a princess meal... or two."

And this second princess meal was at Akershus!! We got up bright and early for our breakfast reservation that was scheduled for 8:10 am!

We found a newt on our walk to Epcot!

Our restaurant selection was a surprise for Vickie! She didn't know that we had one last great Table Service meal coming. We told her that we were going to a small breakfast spot in Germany. (haha... such a place does not exist!)

We entered Epcot through the beautiful International Gateway!

And the park was EMPTY. Seriously, it was crazy.

We knew that we were there almost an hour before Epcot's opening time, but still. Seeing an empty Disney park is always mind boggling!

Disney is seriously so fantastic. Some custodial people were out and they were washing the sidewalks, gardening, and painting the railings. Disney is honestly the closest thing there is to perfection. This is why they rise so highly above other theme parks. Their close attention to detail results in incomparable excellence!

We walked through the empty World Showcase, and Kristen and I were getting very excited!

We got to Norway and walked up to the restaurant. After a few moments, Vick read the sign that said "Princess Storybook Dining."

And she spazzed. YAYYY! SURPRISE!

Anywho... After we checked in, we took our picture with Belle.

We were then seated rather quickly. I sat in the exact same seat that I did the last time I was at this restaurant, which was the August after my Freshman year. That was when I went to Disney with my friend, Jessie. And I'm about 99% sure that I had the exact same waitress too! Crazy stuff.

The breakfast buffet at Akershus is spectacular! I ate SO much food.

This is my plate. There was yogurt with granola and black berries, (I had two bowls full of that) as well as crossaints, bagels, cinnamon rolls, danishes, eggs, and bacon. All of it was beyond delicious!

And here are everybody else's plates:

One of Kristen's "Foods of the Day" was served at this restaurant. It was the Potato Casserole! She really really loved it! Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of it. However, just remember - it was "Food of the Day" good!

Then it was time for the princesses to make their rounds!

Princess Aurora was first, who was very nice.

Ariel was second. She was so cute!

Then Cinderella came around. She was an adorable princess!

The one of Mother and me is clear, though!

And lastly was Snow White, who spent the most time at our table. I think that Snow White became the most favored princess of our entire trip. We always had great experiences meeting her!

Overall, we were thrilled that we got to have our last breakfast at Akershus! Although we had to miss out on our last opportunity for a Club Level Breakfast, it was worth it to see Vick's face when she met the princesses yet again!

That is one happy frump.

That empty World Showcase was like the craziest thing ever though! SO cool.

I LOVED Vick's reaction to Akersuhs. She literally did spaz. All the little kids in their princess outfits were looking at her like she was insane.

Oh Tiana. Why do you never cease to invade our lives with your ongoing malicious shoving and mistreatment of the other Disney royalty? Hey, I just wrote an English essay, I am on a ROLL. HAHAHA. And a pun. I am too funny. Woooo! And tired. Basically, Tiana, dear, GET OFF. THE MERCHANDISE. Have your own like Rapunzel is ever so kind to do.

Yayyy for my food of the day! That stuff was so good. I dream about it. MMMMM.

And aww that's the Snow White that told me I looked like her. Yayy!

Wahh that it's our last day. But I'm sure there are still a few updates left!

Yay for empty Epcot! We had a late ADR for Tokyo Dining once and walked back to the monorail with NO ONE else in the park!
I'd love to try Akershus someday... I too am a Disney princess. Although I love Tiana, I'm loving the fresh face and I would have totally wanted her dress as a little girl!
