Looks like we will miss you by about a week. We plan to be there August 6-13 (give or take a day on each end).

You do realise there is FD August 19th till mid September !!! That was what decided our dates !!Last year we saved $1,700 with FD !!This year not so much as it is only QSP with Values but to upgrade for the 5 of us for 8 nights was only $342 So still a great deal!!!

Now about the phone. I hope it, at least, fully charged.

We were considering going the next week instead, but it would be a bigger rush when we got home because all of the boys will be in college. yep....even the one who was supposed to graduate this spring . He is short a class needed to start his student teaching so since he has to make that one up he's going to take a couple others that should get him his jr hi certification along with his elementary ed degree. The bad thing is he will graduate at the wrong time of year to be finding a teaching job when he's done.

After saying goodbye to The Capells and jenbear 1203 ( I tink I have the #]s wrong and to Jen and Bubba The Glens, The Just Jaimie;s Tracey, Liessa and I headed to the metro !!Glen and Judy had to help me with gettin my ticket !!Remember this is Rosie and we were on our way !!

I would like to visit DC again. I went once, but I was with a group.....a group who couldn't make a decision if it saved their lives. We made it to Arlington, but had to rush, rush, rush - so didn't get to really see anything, then we stood around in the parking lot waiting for the trolley....actually waiting for some of our group to come back and watching trolleys come and go. Then we went to the Wall, but we couldn't go see any of the other monuments nearby (well, unless you count the 4 for $10 T-shirt stand a monument.) We did spend some time shopping at Union Station...and I was able to sneak across the street to the Post Office museum for a quick look-see before anybody missed me. But - no Smithsonians, no Washington Monument, no Lincoln Memorial, no Ford's Theater, no Holocaust museum, no.....lots of other stuff. I really do need to go back sometime.
