The podcast team hasn't done everything in WDW!?!

Yes, Kevin, seeing that list just surprises me (not that it's a bad thing not to do everything, just funny to think about!). And the list of the extra special things you have gotten to do is amazing. I know we will never eat in every restaurant or stay in every hotel, nor will we ever get the opportunity to do the special events- I will always be jealous of everything you guys get to do!

How many times have you been and what have you still never seen/done?

Gosh, I also have a hard time believing that you have truly done EVERYTHING. We are planning our 10th trip and feel we have not done everything.

- Have you seen all the performers in world showcase?
- Have you explored all the animal exhibits at AK? Or seen all the perfromers there?
- Have you eaten at every single restaurant in the parks?
- Have you taken all the backstage tours?
- Have you seen all the holiday themed events? You haven't seen Disney if you haven't gone during the Christmas holiday season. Candlelight Processional, the Osborne Lights, and Food and Wine festival are three of our absolute favorite things about WDW?
- How about La Nouba?

We have done almost every ride/show there is with a few exceptions, but we have far and away not "seen it all". One of the things I do every trip is try to do something new and unique EVERY SINGLE DAY. And I have yet to have trouble accomplishing that goal. We've eaten at probably 50+ TS restaurants, and yet we are trying at least 4 new ones next trip.

Back to the original topic - I was a little surprised to hear Pete had never seen flights of wonder - but he has always said he wasn't a big AK fan, so I guess I wasn't that surprised. Our DD loves that show, and we see it twice a trip. I've learned that the show actually changes somewhat at the different times, so if you are going to see it more than once on a trip - then definitely go at different times.

As for our family: at MK alone - we've never done Tomorrowland Speedway, the Astro Orbiter, the Hall of Presidents (not since many. many years ago), nor ridden any of the main street vehicles.

Kevin - Can't blame you much on most of the things you've missed, but the Jungle Cruise? Man, we just never get tired of those awful jokes! ;)

After maybe 80 or so trips since 1982 I still think their are things I haven;t done. That being said I agree with Kevin that some of the magic is that I have not done everything. Each time I enter Main Steet I try just to take it in since to me it changes every time I go. I have gone around most holiday times and enjoy each time I go to WDW. Last August I went on a Back Stage Magic trip and that will stay with me for a lifetime. Yes they might have my dream job but I love the way the podcast team keeps it exciting as they describe each adventure.

...I have never been to Tom Sawyer Island.
Kevin - I find this amazing, I would never have guessed that a tip across the river to Tom Sawyer's Island would be a new experience for you. This is one of our must visits when we go to Disney World. If you are a Mark Twain fan, it is great to see the books come to life with a some imagination and creative license. This is a great get away space when the park is crowded, you want to immerse yourself in themeing, and just separate from the MK. It is amazing the nooks and crannies you can find on Tom Sawyer's Island. recommendation - Bring your kindle or iPad, catch up on some reading, and cross this off as "something new" in 2013.

...
...I have dined at almost every Disney restaurant on property.
I have stayed in almost every hotel on property
I have been to private events that would blow your mind.
I have met Disney legends that have blown my mind.
I have gotten to see and do things I never, in a bazillion years, thought I would get to do.

This list is absolutely amazing. We have stayed at every hotel we care to stay at, and aspire to dine at all off the restaurants on property. 2012 - was our first time at Trails End, later this year it will be our first tip to Saanna.

Our goal is to try something new every trip.

Mike

But still don't you guys think if you lived there and had an AP you would eventually wander into see everything at least once? I just thought it was funny, I always assume as my "go to" experts that they have seen and done everything.

I don't think I would or could. I just don't have an interest in certain things or I know I wouldn't like it like Mission Space.

Gosh, I also have a hard time believing that you have truly done EVERYTHING.

Nope, I already said I haven't eaten in all the restaurants (not even close!) or done anything that costs extra outside the parks like the tours, La Nouba or dinner shows etc. Yes, I do count that as part of WDW, I was just referring to the in park attractions, and those I have done (even the holiday stuff, F&W, world showcase etc).

I hope I am not coming across as trying to be show-offy because that certainly was not my point, I have NO WHERE near the experience with the parks that the podcast team does. But I love hearing things like the list of stuff Kevin has yet to try. The wonderful thing about Disney is that they are always growing and changing. I go infrequently to WDW so in between trips new stuff comes and there is always something new to explore, even for us commandos :lovestruc I can't wait to see new fantasyland this trip!

I am the type of person that eventually wants to try everything. This has worked in my favor on my past two trips when I have gone out of my way to try new things. I had never tried the people mover until 2011 and now it is one of my favorite rides (I didnt think I would even remotely enjoy it). Im still unsure of how im ever gonna get myself to go to Captain EO or Ellen's universe of Energy, maybe Im just stalling on those until they get taken down. I dont think Im gonna make it to Tom Sawyer Island until I have kids of my own. Im also trying to stay in every disney owned resort on property. I even made a challenge for every ride and show at WDW so I would hopefully make it a point to go see everything. Hopefully in August I will find another ride or show that I come to love, or be able to take a nice nap in.
