Ok...I was looking over the list of the TS places and came acrossed The Plaza Resturant in MK. I can not find any info on this other than it is on the list. Anyone know anything about it.

It's a simple sandwich-and-ice-cream table service restaurant. Decorated in line with the 1900-period theme of Main Street. Sandwiches are not cheap ($10-$12) but the food is reasonably good. If you're looking for a relaxing place to eat a TS lunch without spending a fortune, this is it. The other TS lunch I'd recommend is Liberty Tree Tavern, more expensive but worth it. A CS alternative at the other end of the park is Columbia Harbour House. Though it's counter service, it's sandwiches are just as good for less money, and if you sit upstairs it can also be relaxing.

Thanks...Not to sound like money is everything...but I don't want to waste my TS on that! Thanks so much!!!

I would not use a TS credit for it either but would happily pay OOP. We love it.

Hardly ever disagree with anything Erik says but I think there is greater variety at the Plaza than at Columbia Harbor House. The Plaza also has great ice cream treats and good ice tea.

I have eaten at the Plaza many times and loved it. We haven't done the dining plan yet, and I am not sure if it is worth the TS credit. It's a great place for when you want to sit down, relax, eat more than fast food but not a big meal. More like a great lunch place.

Thanks...I might go ahead and make ADR there for lunch one day and pay OOP. Doing that with Sci Fi Dine in Theater too.

I see you're going in June. IMHO, the thing you'll like best about the Plaza is....the air conditioning! We went in Oct '02 (the first restaurant on the first day of our first trip to WDW) and it was sweltering. Walking into the Plaza was better than diving into a pool!

We have eaten at every full service place in Magic Kingdom except Tony's and think The Plaza Restaurant has the best food in Magic Kingdom. (excluding the castle, which is not too bad) The portions are large and I was too full for ice cream unfortunately. Here's the menu, the sandwiches are very fresh.

I love the Plaza. We eat there every trip. It is nice to sit down and relax. The service is quick so we get to rest with out using a lot of time or money. I think that it is a good value. The food quality is good. I would definately reccomend it.

I agree with the above posters...

I wouldn't use a Dining Plan credit here --

But, it is the best place to eat in the MK.

Portions are huge -- we usually split so we can have room for dessert. The ice cream sundaes are outrageous.

Our boys usually split a kids meal -- the one with the hamburger and hot dog combo.

It really is a good value when you consider the portion size.
