Does anyone think that The Plaza will go back to taking ADR's for dinner like Skipper Canteen did?!

I have no idea, but in terms of thinking it through, I don't think Skipper Canteen is a valid comparison - Skipper Canteen was brand new when it didn't take ADRs and then began to allow you to. The Plaza has gone "backwards," if you will, from that.

Nobody knows but to guess ....
... I think it helps keep Tony's and Skipper's fuller since some folks want ADRs for their meals. By removing a popular location it forces those guests to book elsewhere. I would not be surprised if Plaza is turning tables faster with there being no ADRs. Time will tell but unless Plaza suddenly is not full, which I can't comprehend, why would they go back to ADRs?

Agree you can't compare to Skipper. Skipper was virtually empty and the best way to fill it would be allowing ADRs so those folks who are booking ADRs (those who like to and mostly those on DDP) would then book there. They are already on TS/$$ mode and Skipper was not being included in their plans.

I hope not, after some 30 years of going to WDW, we finally ate at the Plaza in December. We don't make ADRs in advance, we just don't see any reason to since we can hop on MDE while walking around and always find something open somewhere. We loved the fact that Skippers didn't required ADRS when it first opened up, it was just our kind of place. We were walking around, got hungry and on the spur of the moment said let's try this. We loved it. The same thing happened in December with the Plaza. We were in MK around 1 or so, hungry and decided to try it. We never had before because of the whole ADR thing and we are rarely in MK at a time we want to book an ADR. We waited about 25 minutes. It was very crowded, I'm talking noise level high, tables so close the waitress literally stood behind my son and put my plate down beside him and slid it to me since there was not way she could get to me. (she wasn't the best waitress on the planet and because of her, we most likely will never go back). The food was decent and there was plenty of it. I got a cup of soup and the loaded fries with the intention of sharing them with my son. He got some sort of BBQ/hamburger sandwich and even though he is a huge eater, couldn't finish it and half my fries were left.
