I can't decide which one for our upcoming trip in May. There will be 5 adults and 3 kids (11, 13, and 16). This will be everyones first trip to Disney. My DH and I have had lunch many times at LTT and love it there, we have never been for dinner. Also, we have never been to the Plaza. We will will having lunch at Crystal Palace that day and coming back to the MK for Spectro Magic and Wishes. Also, the only time that LTT had was 7:35pm and Spectro Magic is at 9:00pm. If we eat there will we have enough time? How is the food at both places? I see that the Plaza gets good reviews and it is just more or less a sandwich place where the LTT is family style turkey dinner. Our lunch at CP is at noon so that leaves us enough time to eat again later. Do you think that LTT is too much food after a lunch at CP? I would love to hear any reviews on the food at both places. Thanks for all your help!!!!!:banana::banana:

I have been to both locations for lunch and I would go with Liberty Tree Tavern because I thought they had better atmosphere.

I don't believe I have eaten at the Plaza, but the food is more "dinner like" at LTT. I just think paying the same price for LTT now without characters is a tad ridiculous so I'd probably pick the Plaza. LTT dinner is a lot of food, we left stuffed.

I've been to both and I would choose The Plaza over LTT anyday! The sanwiches are huge and delicious and the banana splits are Heaven!:lovestruc

We've done LTT for lunch, but never dinner. We go to the Plaza every year...it is the last meal of our trip before we head to the airport or the beach. After all the heavy meals we eat on the dining plan, we enjoy this simple meal and the food is very good (and the shakes and the desserts, well, let's just say :worship:). I think your kids would really enjoy the Plaza.

I have been to both and I really prefer the Plaza. The food at the Plaza is very good, although its not anything too fancy. I usually get the tuna or steak sandwich both of which are awesome. I have also had fantastic service at the Plaza as well. Its also smaller restaurant and I like looking out the window and seeing the view of the castle.

Thanks everyone !!!! I think that I am leaning towards the Plaza. I can get a 6:40pm time which will give us plenty of time for Spectro Magic. Also, the thought of getting ice cream after dinner is a plus.:banana: I am thinking that LTT might be too much food after a buffet earlier that day. Has anyone else been to the Plaza? Thanks !!!:banana:

I have only been to the Plaza and we really liked it.

went to both restaurants in last 6 months...for a repeat, we would definitely prefer The Plaza to LTT. With characters, LTT was fun and the food is good, but nothing really special (although the dessert is very good there.) The Plaza is just sandwiches, but ours were very good. And can't beat the ice cream choices for dessert!

Here's a couple of pictures of our meals at the Plaza in September:
