Hellllooo in there! :goodvibes Thinking about going to the Plaza for lunch. Dont want a long lunch but wanted to try their ruben sammy. Is this a long TS or is it short like a CS lunch?

Thanks for your input!

This has become one of our must-do's ever year. We love the change of pace from all the "heavy" meals we have throughout the week on the dining plan. We usually spend about 40 to 60 minutes having lunch or dinner here. Now, we are 50 and 55 and we enjoy a nice break, so we tend to take our time when eating and having dessert. If you go at a "not popular" time, you could probably be out in 40 minutes tops.

I was wondering the same. They sandwiches look wonderful. I'd love to hear more about this place.

I would highly recommend it! Here are a few pics of our late lunch!

I love The Plaza !
I'd definitely say that this is a quick TS and the food is delicious. Their sandwiches are amazing and my mother gets a salad that she just loves.

We eat at The Plaza on every trip, usually for lunch. The food is yummy! It is definitely a nice cross between good CS and TS. You should be able to be out within 40 mins or so....

ETA the top photo is what I order EVERY time! The Plaza Club w/ german potato salad. Just a few more days until I will be enjoying it again!

Yummm - I love the Plaza!

Hmmm if a TS is like a steakhouse (at home) and CS is like McDs

Then I'd have to say Plaza is like Friendly's or Steak and Shake (a nice cross as someone else put it).

This restaurant is definitely one to try! I think its one of the best in all the parks! :thumbsup2

We love the Plaza for lunch. Since we usually only do MK one day during our WDW trips we alternate between the Plaza and CP for lunch at MK. We love them both and both are very different dining experiences.

The photo below was taken last Oct. when my dd had a visit with the future mayor or Main Street, Olivia Hardy. They have some interesting characters that come in and visit every now and then so it can also be entertaining.

The food is good and simple. Definitely FAR BETTER than Steak n Shake, sorry but can't agree that's a good comparison. Friendlys maybe, but even better than that.

Normally it takes about 45 minutes to an hour. We can't leave without treating ourselves to those ice cream sundaes!!

hahahaha I didn't mean in food quality - i meant in TIME because the poster was asking about how long it would take to eat there!

Sorry for the confusion! And I agree that its far better than steak and shake! But I don't know if the ice cream is better than Friendly's (sorry their mint choc chip is my favorite).

We went at opening, I think it was 11:00. We were in and out in under a half hour (we eat really fast  ). It was one of our favorite meals of the trip. DH had the club sand; I had the strawberry chicken salad :lovestruc ; DS and DD had a burger and fries. Simple meal but very well prepared. Service was awesome.

We went for dinner in January. We had an ADR for 5:15 and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. After that, the service was pretty slow. It took us around an hour and 15 minutes to be done there. This was our first visit to WDW, so I'm guessing we just happened to have a rare slow service day there. We decided that in the future we would only go there for lunch.

It's my hidden treasure -- shhh . . . don't tell anyone. We always have one meal here and totally enjoy it. Did you know it's the smallest restaurant on DisneyWorld property? Remember . . . shhh . . . don't tell anyone :)

We've gone a couple of times for a lighter dinner and loved the place!

I think it would be perfect for a lunch (we ususally eat lunch back at the hotel so haven't tried it). A nice break from the park, good food, etc.!

Enjoy!:)

We ate there once forever ago and I think we liked it....we are going back for lunch in Oct so we can enjoy a nice break during the day....DH gets so frustrated with the long lines and table hawks at Cosmic Rays and Peco Bills....this seems like a happy alternative and I get ice cream so we are all happy puppies

DH and I stumbled across Plaza a couple of trips ago and now it's a must do. They have good sandwiches, but even better sundaes! Take the time- usually less than 1 hour- and enjoy!

It's a pleasant diversion, sort of between CS and TS in time required, cost, and quality. Well worth a visit.

Plaza is good! You should be in an out in a hour.

We LOVE the Plaze. It's right inbetween a TS and a CS for time. For us it's the best place to eat in the MK.

Perhaps it was addressed earlier and I just missed it but in terms of credits on the dining plan is it a CS or a TS?

Thanks!
