It was actually alot of fun. The dancing breaks were a nice touch as well and even DD5 got into the act!

Looks like your crew had a fun start to their day :goodvibes

It was definitely a nice way to start the day!
Get the crew all wound up and excited to be at Disney!
What more can you ask for?

I agree - the breakfast is your basic buffet (plus tater tots) and the chars, while not as popular, are fun.
We've also been for dinner and enjoyed it very much.
There's not many decent food options in DHS and people shouldn't just ignore this one...

I'll try to make sure there are no spoilers although I can't imagine the DIS members haven't seen all the Disney movies yet...

You misunderstood. I meant no spoilers, being given by me, on what titles will be viewed.

After the festivities, little X returned to the table just in time for another of those Little Smartypants to arrive.
This time ‘twas a lass – June I believe they called her.
She started her siren song at the head of the table entrancing both the Tramp and our First Mate.

To be certain, Tramp had a hankering to cut a rug with June and company. (You can see it in his visage.) As is certainly our custom in my family, grub first. Priorities, cap'n, priorities.

Good points both.
You may fare well as a member of me crew after all!

Another great update! Your family is so much fun!

Thanks!
The way I figure it, if we're spending all those dubloons on R&R for me crew, we best be enjoying it, savvy?

Loved the update! We've never eaten at H&V, but it looks like you all had a great time!

H&V was alot of fun. Them there creatures get you up and about.
And whilst it may not be the best choice for grub at the World, it's definitely one of the nicer galleys at this here Hollywood Studios.
The choices at that place were not very plentiful.

 the movie night idea !

Great pictures & video from H&V !

Look like a very good breakfast , we have only ate dinner here before & love it !

Maybe one day we will try out the breakfast too !

Can't wait to read more popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

Breakfast was pretty good at H&V.
And the movie night has been lots of fun - in fact, it's time for this weekend's movie...

This week was hectic as I began recruiting for the Pirate Brigade known as the Cub Scouts.
And the Fair Maiden took the Pirate Princess for a wilderness adventure with a crew of wenches known as the Girl Scouts.
So I apologize for no updates on my tale.
However, since it was a Pirate Weekend with just us menfolk, we planned accordingly.
The rule on our ship is that the crew is not treated to moving pictures unless they have already read through the scripts.
And, luckily, me and me first mate just finished recalling the 2nd tale of the world of Narnia.
That's right me hearties, this weekend's tale was none other than
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

The tale was much different than the scrolls we just read of the same name but we enjoyed it all the same.
Even our Cabin Boy Boxmaster joined us for half of the tale.
While I still like the 1st tale of Narnia the best, the First Mate was excited and has declared we must start reading the 3rd tale.
Aye, you see, while it might not be produced by the Mouse, the Voyage of the Dawn Treader is due to hit the moving picture houses this December.
And our young lad knows he must be finished reading the tale beforehand.

I only wish that the exhibit of Narnia shall remain in the House of Mouse until we return in January.
I've already seen it and even met Prince Caspian himself.
But I thought it would be a treat for the First Mate to see the Stone Table itself.
Alas, my guess is that when the 3rd tale hits, the rodent will remove all traces of Narnia from within his walls.
We shall see.

In the meantime, I give ye me word that I shall return soon with more of the tale.
And what be a pirate pirate: without his word, savvy?

We exited the galley and headed towards the main pathway.
Buccaneers were still swarming through the entrance gates en route to those magical Passes of Fast.
We had other plans – a swashbuckling group portrait!

Huzzah!
Disney2009PiratesPass108.jpg

I spoke with the khaki-clad wizard responsible for the portraits and asked if he had any other magic up his sleeve.
Indeed he did says he.
In fact, we were treated to a magic that I had not yet experienced – an invasion of sorts.
Me and me crew sat down on a nearby bench and Shiver Me Timbers!
A blue beast magically appeared catching me whole crew off guard!

Little X couldn’t take his eyes off him.
Me thinks he wanted some of that ice cream.

After gathering our courage, we caught some fair winds and headed off towards the Giant Hat.
In fact, we passed right underneath the monstrosity with another destination in mind.
It was this old Chinese Pirate Cove that we had our eyes set on.

Inside there was not too much of a wait and we headed towards a special entrance thanks to Tramp’s magic vehicle.
I had hoped to encounter the cowboy I heard so many tales of, but alas – it was not to be.
The Mouse Apprentice informed me that the cowboy was nowhere to be found on this morning.
So we watched the moving pictures as we waited for the next tour into the movies.
The entire crew (along with Lady and the Tramp) began our so-called tour in the front section of one of the cars.
Our guide hoisted the sail of this contraption and we headed off into the lights.
There are no portraits from this adventure as I had just taken many in my recent solo tour.
This time around, I wanted to enjoy the adventure along with me crew and I needed to have one hand on me sword in case we get boarded!

This was the crew’s first time on this Great Movie Adventure and we had to explain many of the pirates of yesteryear to them.
The Pirate Princess especially enjoyed the bloke singing in the rain (as she just recently performed this show at her royal ballet).
And she like that flying nanny although I was convinced there was some dark voodoo magic afoot.
Then, gunfire shot across our bow and we were in the thick of it.
A pirate in odd clothing took control of our vessel and headed off in search of gold.
Normally I would’ve fought him off but that idea appealed to me and me crew so we figured we’d play along.
From creepy scenes to what seemed like outer space, we pressed on.
This is where the crew was a bit freaked out.
Despite my warnings of alien beats, the crew still cowered in fear.

However, once we returned to something more familiar, all was well.
As the music sounded, smiles crossed the faces of the crew as the legendary Pirate Jones (no, not Davey but Indiana) made his presence known.
However, our pirate guide got too greedy and tried to capture a red stone for his collection.
I would’ve helped but it seemed rightfully the property of Pirate Jones.
And a hooded figure warned again to leave the gem alone.
Th kidnapper ignored the warnings and pressed on.
However, as soon as our kidnapper touched the fateful gem, he turned to smoke!
When the smoke cleared, all that was left of the greedy pirate were skeleton bones.
And the hooded figure revealed herself to be our original tourguide!
What dark voodoo she must know! :wizard:
Twas a good thing me and me crew stayed put.
A good pirate knows when not to pillage and plunder for what good is the booty if you end up in Davy Jones’ Locker?

From there we rounded a bend dedicated to the mouse’s magic.
Wind and water could be felt all around us and it was as if we were in a tornado.
Upon a screen the Mouse :smickey: seemed to control the very seas themselves!

We emerged onto streets laid with gold bricks and all of a sudden me and me crew starting making some plans.
This land was full of little creatures – not man nor child but something else.
We had just seen a movie with these creatures so the crew was aware of what was in store.
And sure enough, a voodoo witch appeared and threatened all.
She moved with grace and precision and got to me crew.
But we banished her back to the depths of whence she came and continued onwards – unfortunately not stopping to grab those golden bricks. :confused3

With a montage of scenes from the anals of history, we departed our vehicles.
The crew was unimpressed and many of these situations were not familiar to them.
And I concede that this tribute to those pirates of old could be updated with newer “classics.”
However, I wanted to give it a shot and that we did.
But now it was time to cash in those magical Passes of Fast.
Load your ammunition and prepare to join us as we plunder the chest of someone named Andy.
