Had to vent...I've spent the better part of my morning on the phone with every store on the east coast looking for a Zarina costume with no luck....I'm so sad as DD was really excited to be her this year. I refuse to spend 150 bucks on a costume through eBay or Amazon and that looks like the only way to find one. I may try my hand at calling a few stores on the west coast this afternoon but I fear heartbreak is in our future. Why would they be so shortsighted in their production? The CMs I spoke with at several stores said they weren't even expecting to get anymore. I'm really kicking myself for not getting one about two months ago....shoulda coulda woulda I guess. Ok, sad vent over. Anyone else going to have a disappointed kiddo over this on Halloween?

Even though I'm an adult, I made the costume, since they obviously don't make them for adults. I think it would be fairly simple to do. You could probably do it for under fifty; is she someone who has to have the exact stuff or could it be a little off? Like, a regular sword, just wings, and a green skirt, brown tank, white top? You could probably find all that over a weekend? Not sure, but it might be doable. :)

I'd considered making one but I don't sew well enough unfortunately and she really had her heart set on that specific costume. She finally settled on Anna this morning as her plan B. If something happens and by some miracle I find Zarina between now and trick or treat i can always return Anna. Just a bummer... :(

I was at my local Disney Store last week and they had some. I live on West Coast. The store is located in Salinas CA. Here's their number: (831) 442-3146. Call and check if they still have in stock and maybe you can order from them? You can also call Disney Parks Merchandise directly and see if they have any in stock, you can order directly from them. Good Luck.

Have you tried JC Penney? I know they carried it in their Disney Store section at one point because we almost bought one. I don't see it on the website anymore, but you could try calling local stores and see if they still have any.

Thanks Sandy! I just called and they're all out too :( I've never had such a hard time finding something. Maybe Disney Merch can help. Now to find a number.

And Disney Merch can't help either...I seriously cannot believe THIS is the costume that can't be found. Not Anna, Not Elsa, but Zarina...just my luck I guess

believe me... when my daughter was planning elsa around july - there were NONE to be found lol I think Disney pulled their head of the sand with that one finally... that is why I commissioned my SIL to make one because I didn't want the tragic 7yo scream if I couldn't get my hands on it - I feel your pain right now....

I wish I knew someone who worked with costumes and could whip one up! My MIL sews but asking her for something is like chewing on glass for me....plus I'm cutting it close :( my own fault there I guess

I would suggest my SIL but she would have needed more time :( we just got the Elsa dress last Friday in the mail LOL

She seems to be ok with being Anna but it just makes me sad....she was so excited and with her attitude she would have made a great Zarina.

It is a really popular costume this year. I think it is far more popular than expected. We saw a ton of little Zarinas at MNSSHP a couple of weeks ago. I have a friend who started trying to find one in her DD's size several weeks ago and had issues. There are some cute ones in the $60 range on ETSY, but I am betting they probably can't get it made and here by Halloween. I just looked on EBAY and there were a couple of the non Disney store at a reasonable price that supposedly could be delivered before Halloween. Don't know if she has any parties before then though. I know DD's activity parties start this week.

Sorry that they sold out. Ebay and Amazon may be your best bet at this point. I understand your frustration. One year my daughter wanted to by Flora (Winx Fairy). Of course we couldn't find it anywhere. When we did find one it was on Ebay, a seller in Canada and one size too big. Ended up buying it anyway and had to have it altered. The costume ended up costing $50, purchased the wings separate for another $20 and alterations $35. A cheaply made $20 probably found at any costume store cost me a bundle. I would never do that again. I hope everything works out. If I see of any, I'll check in.

Thanks Sandy. I love when you start a thread with a rant and end up with so much help and pixie dust from fellow Disers ;)

I think I saw them at our Dis store this weekend. It is Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall, PA. Good luck!
