The Pink Elephant

Can anyone help? Is the pink elephant character from the movie Fantasia or the Dumbo movie?

There is one from Dumbo. From the scene wher Dumbo gets drunk on the water one of the clowns has accidentall spiked. I love this scene, especially the song "Pin Elephants on Parade".

There is also one from Fantasia. Hyacinth Hippo. She is from the Dance of the Hours segment with Ben Ali Gator and wears a tu-tu (tu-much?).

Not sure which one you are refering to.

I checked Pinpics for Fantasia -- there's a hippo, but not an elephant.

Yeah, that's the right pink elephant. Guess it's just the dancing elephants from Fantasia that I remember. Oh well, any pink elephant from an old Disney flick is pretty cool. Thanks you guys!

Guess I was still asleep when I wrote that post. Confusing an elephant with a Hippo and even after typing Hippo! Think I'll go back to bed!

The only movies that I know have pink elephants are Dumbo and Winnie the Pooh. Maybe you are remembering the Heffalumps in Winnie the Pooh, if the Dumbo elephant isn't really clear in your memory.
Maybe that helps, maybe not though.

I had no idea Disney included so many pink elephants in their children's movies! I won't even ask why Winnie would have PINK elephants (haven't seen all of those.) No, it's the dancing hippos from Fantasia I was thinking of. Hmmm. maybe I should start collecting PINK ELEPHANT pins

I just saw a pink elephant pin at TDS yesterday - it is part of the boxed LE Dumbo series, and I can't keep myself from commenting that it is the UGLIEST PIN I have ever seen! (Hope I didn't offend)

Was it that ugly in the film, or did they just do a bad job w/the pin?
