There was a thread here in the last week or two from someone asking about guidebooks to DLR. If I had to recommend one it would be the Unofficial Guide to DLR 2010 by Sehlinger. I think the specific question was more about touring plans in the UG.
In the thread we discussed the issue of outdated information. Today I was looking for some parking info at DLR and came across this link from the UG through Google books that had incorrect information on page 31.
Here is an excerpt from the UG 2010:

Some things that change slowly can be addressed well by printed guide books. But many things change too quickly for guidebooks to address.
To get the latest information you need to use online resources such as DIS.
