 Here's a new thread that i thought would be fun to do. If you were, right now, suddenly planted in WDW and told that you could do anything you wanted for the day, what would your day be like? Say starting at 8am till oh 11pm. You have to be somewhat realistic about this too, so you cant say that you want to do every single ride in both MGM and MK and then see all three firework displays. Take some time and think about it too. Also tell if you would want to go with the whole family or just you and someone else. Im interested in seein what everyone's ideal disney day would be.

What a wonderful idea!

On my ideal WDW day (which would take place in early December), DH, DS and I would get up at our room in the Villas at Wilderness Lodge and wander over to the boat landing, stopping to see the geyser on our way. Then we would take the boat over to Chef Mickey's for my DS3's very favorite character meal. After a lovely breakfast, we would boat back to WL and then go over to Epcot where we would spend the late morning and early afternoon touring the countries, having a small snack for lunch.

At about 2:00, we would make it back to VWL to relax and I would sit by the Hidden Springs pool with a magnificent book and a diet coke with lime, as large as my head :teeth: . Then we would all go back to the room, get cleaned up, and take the boat over to the MK for our 5:30 PS at LTT. After a wonderful Christmas type dinner, we would exit the restaurant into the MK for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We would see all the shows, ride all the rides DS wants, enjoy all the lights and music and "snow" and atmosphere...catch the wonderful parade at least once, and end the evening with Wishes.

What is your perfect day?

My ideal day:

Wake up early at on-property resort, with helpful hubby and cheerful kids (hey, it's ideal, right?)and my mother............ideally, I'd love to try the Boardwalk, get something to eat, and head off to MK for early entry (extra magic, whatever).

Do Fantasyland.................ride Dumbo, Peter Pan, Winnie Pooh, Small World, see Lion King..........all rides 2-3x, as much as the kids want...........then, go to Haunted Mansion, Splash M. and Big Thunder, then around to Crystal Palace for Pooh lunch.

After that, to Tomorrowland........Buzz, Astro and Space.........then back to Pirates, a snack of Mickey Fries and Dole whips

Back to hotel for a dip in the pool.............then a quick nap and sprucing up.

Dinner at Epcot, Le Cellier, with dessert! Then across to Mexico and Norway and the boat rides. See Illuminations!

This is one of my best days, though I also would like the MK and MGM combo, too, with Fantasmic, but I couldn't skip Epcot, so for one day, this wins!

Paige - sorry to ruin your perfect day, but Lion King is no longer at MK in Fantasy Land. Substitute the amazing new Mickey's Philharmagic, a 3D show featuring all the classic Disney characters, and you'll still have a perfect day!!!

Wake up around 8:30am at the BWI and head over to have a leisurely breakfast at the Kona Cafe at the Poly. Then head over to MK and do Mickey's Philharmagic, Haunted Mansion, Pirates and Big Thunder. Have a quick bite for lunch and head back to the BWI for a rest at the pool and sipping the drink of the day. Back to the room, get ready for a night at Epcot and dinner at Le Cellier around 6pm(great filet mignon). After dinner do a few attractions at WS and head over to Mexico to see Illuminations. After Illuminations walk hand in hand with my DH over to Beaches and Cream for ice cream. This just recently happened except we stayed at POR instead of BWI and was the best Disney trip with DH so far. :cloud9: Can't wait to do it again and hopefully will be able to do BWI. :goodvibes

The perfect day at WDW ... from 8 - 11? ... :)

Well, I'd be waking up around 6:30am in the Wilderness Lodge. Don't look at me like that, I always wake up early at WDW because I want to be at the parks when they open. I'd shower, dress, do my hair, grab a muffin and juice or something quick and leave around 7:30 for MGM.

At MGM I'd get a FP for Tower of Terror, but still wait in line for it. Then I'd go over to Rock N' Roller Coaster, get a FP for that, too, and stand in line for it. After RnRC I'd run over to ToT with my FP and then back to RnRC with my FP. From there I'd be off to Epcot, and it's around 10am. (I'm 100% serious, it doesn't take that long for me to do stuff.)

I'd wait in the singles line for TT because that line moves way too slow. Then I'd go over to Mission: Space. After that I'd make my way around World Showcase, making stops at my favorite countries only which are Germany, Italy!!!, France, and England, enjoying a late lunch from Italy. I'd buy more of my awesome French perfume. Talk to the hot guy that was at England, if he's still there... I'd probably be ready to leave mid-afternoon, probably 2:30ish, to MK.

First off I'd get my picture taken in front of the Castle because it's tradition. Then I'd make my way over to Pirates of the Caribbean. And then FP Splash Mountain, wait in line for Big Thunder and then go back over to Splash. From there it's on to the Haunted Mansion. After that I'd grab a FP for Peter Pan (because, I'll be honest, I adore that ride!) and book it on over to Space Mountain. After that I'd go on Peter Pan and grab something quick for dinner while sitting on the curb of Main Street for SpectroMagic. Then I'd get ice cream from the Parlor and make my way to the front of the Castle to watch Wishes. After Wishes I'll probably make one last trip to Splash (because it is my favorite Mountain) and then one last round on Pirates of the Caribbean. When I'm making my way out of MK I'll stop and browse the shops, purchasing the SpectroMagic CD and a picture frame.

In all honesty ... That's what we did on our last day there in March. All of that can be done. If you don't mind your feet feeling like they're going to fall off and being so tired that you just want to sleep on the sidewalk. The last day is always the saddest but by far the most fun because we ride all of our favorite rides and see the best shows, Spectro and Wishes.

Ok. Id wake up at about 630 (this is fantasy, after all). Id have either ONE of my kids OR a kid who wouldnt be able to go otherwise (due to money, custody, life, whatever) around the age of 5 with me. The child would not get tired all day by the way. We'd wake up at the Grand Floridian in our room overlooking the MK. We'd take the boat to Chef Mickeys for breakfast and head over to the Magic Kingdom. We'd do all the dark rides in FantasyLand then head over to the Haunted Mansion. We'd eat lunch at the LTT then head to Buzz Lightyear. We'd watch the castle show and the parade. Then we'd go over to Epcot and hit Ellen, The Land boat ride, Journey, ice station cool, spaceship earth and eat dinner at either LeCellier or Rose and Crown. We'd walk around Epcot, go on Rio Tempo and Maelstrom then find a great spot to sit and watch Illuminations. We'd catch the bus back to the Grand Floridian and then spend the last hour or so "night swimming". When we get back to our room at 11:00, we'd find we won a contest that extended our stay for 2 weeks.
Ahhhh. Ok- I just thought of about 4 more versions of this- me alone, me with my best friend, me with each of my kids alone, me with my preschool class.
Sigh. If only.......

My perfect day starts with a happy family waking up at the Poly. We would dine at Kona on Tonga Toast, juice and a big cup of java. We would then get on the monorail, no wait, to a car all of our own, and head to MK. Upon arrival, we would walk through the walkways that lead to mainstreet. Mickey and all the gang would be right there, waiting for me! We would walk down Main street, slowly, taking in all the smells and sights, drinking up the fresh morning sun. We would stop along Main Street and sit on a bench underneath a basket of Ivy and Impatients, Petunias, and Daisy. After a couple of pics, my Dh would tell me to go pic out a cute outfit in one of the shops and BUY IT! THen the family would head on up to the castle to take some more pics. We would then start in Fantasyland, and ride everything we wanted with minimal wait and we wouldn't stand behind someone who had never heard of deodorant  . The kids wouldn't argue and fuss when Dh and I want to go in Hall of Presidents, and we would be patient as they rode Goofy's Barnstormer 5 times. In between lands, we would have lunch at Crystal Palace. Then we would resume our adventure, catching all the shows, seeing all the parades, getting the perfect seat EVERYTIME, watching Wishes at the perfect location, and of course, riding all the mountains whenever we wanted. We would dine at Ray's Cosmic Cafe' becasue that's tradition for dinner. Tomorrow at night is beautiful. Afterwards we would head back towards the castle, My DH would then take my hand in front of the castle with my children watching, and ask me to marry him all over again! We would then kiss under the moonlight and stars, and all walk back down Main Street and do some shopping, unlimited travelers checks! We would sit and wait as everyone left, and watch...... wait...... for .... The Kiss Goodnight.

As we left, Mickey and all the gang would be there at the train station bidding us a farewell.

Ahh.... in the land of perfect! :teeth:

Sleep in until 9am at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Slowly get ready and head to Magic Kindgom. Enjoy a gooey cinnamon roll for breakfast. Ride Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Carribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, watch Mickey's Philharmagic, and see Carousel of Progress (or at least do as many of these as we can before 2pm). Grab a burger and cheese fries at Pecos Bill's! Take the ferry boat across the way to the Grand Floridian where we enjoy a nice relaxing massage at the Spa. Go back to the resort for a little nap and then freshen up for dinner. Enjoy the taste of Africa at Boma. Then head over to Epcot where we'll ride Spaceship Earth and Soarin' and then stroll through the World Showcase a little. Caolon will want a churro from Mexico and I will lament the lack of Beaver Tails at Canada :( We'll decide to skip the churro and have dessert later. Then we will purchase a couple glasses of sparkling wine and the dark chocolate pairings from Italy and step out onto the Italian waterfront to watch Illuminations. After the show, we will sit near the fountain and watch the pretty lights on the lagoon as everyone else leaves. Finally, we'll leave Epcot through the International Gateway and stroll over to the Boardwalk resort area where we'll take a bus to Downtown Disney and enjoy a yummy Sunday from Hagendaas. Then we head back to Animal Kingdom to sit on the balcony for a while before falling back into our bed for a good night's sleep!
