No one will ever know exactly what happened the night the crew of the Andrea Gail vanished, but speculation is all one may go by. May the crew members of the Andrea Gail find a calm sea,a comforting breeze, and the sun always to their back.
The life of a fisherman is so dangerous but yet so rewarding.
is this the movie that has that Schizophonic in it...that acts very meanly toward the other shipmates...then when confronted by the crew...offers a veil appology...then after being reprimanded by the officiers....says nice things that are completely out of character?
Two summers ago DH and I took a ride north of Boston, driving along some very beautiful coastline here in Massachusetts...
We entered Gloucester and saw the "Gloucester fisherman" statue. Let me tell you, when you see that monument up close, with all of the names of the men and women who have died at sea from ONLY that small town, it's a very sobering moment, especially since the movie "The Perfect Storm" had just been released a few months earlier. They also list the year each person died. So many with the same last names, presumably family members.
We drove along a little further and found the Crow's Nest which is the bar where the fishermen in that movie used to hang out.
I do not mean this to be funny although I know it'll sound funny, but believe me, I no longer take fishsticks (this is the only seafood I'll eat) for granted!!

No, this movie was based on a true story of a swordfishing boat where all of the crew died at sea. One guy was kind of a jerk at first to one of the other guys, but it doesn't sound like what you described.
