Side note - Coffee grinder...
IF you are a "true" coffee guru, and engineer dude (like a certain dh I'm married to ) You must move from the electric grinder, to a burr grinder to a plain old fashioned hand crank grinder... Now I should go thru and explain the nuances of each, but suffice it to say, I dont know, all I know is after years of debating the subject, my dh doesnt buy his coffee from Starbucks, but buys the whole beans, and heaven help us if he decides to start roasting his own beans (I fear we may not be that far away from it!!) He also bought an inexpensive espresso he likes to use... again, dont ask me, I'm just wondering if this isnt in your future also!!
(and let me save you some money, skip the burr grinder, forget what you read on the internet about it, unless you count this of course, the burr grinder makes static electric charges all over the bean grinds, and makes a HUGE mess, and it doesnt make me happy to find little teeney tiny coffee grinds all around!! That hand crank thing tho, really impressed dh, and it really makes him happy, its just a very small sized one, what can I say??!!)
PS< please tell your df that looking at that finger is a HUGE "ouch" factor!! Bless her heart, good thing she got it off, and I assume no permanant damage was done!!
