Hi,
Does anyone out there have any pictures of gift baskets they have had Shirley at the Perfect Gift do? I'd like to get something to surprise my DH & my parents with when we go on the Magic in September, but I need some ideas and I want something different. If you don't have any pictures, ideas would be great also. Thanks for your help!!!

We had gift baskets made up for DSs and for BIL & SIL, and I surprised my DH with a basket too. Here are pics:

In our DSs' baskets there was: their favorite soda in cans, Gatorade (to take on excursions), bags of candy (M&Ms, etc) to take to the movie theater onboard, disposable waterproof cameras, Mickey Mouse ears, water spray mister-fan bottles. DH's had cans of diet Coke, binoculars (which we ended up using a LOT while on our verandah), Mouse Ears, Mickey shaped pretzels, Mickey mints, etc. For SIL & BIL I had BIL's favorite beer, Fiji Spring water for SIL, binoculars for them too, Mouse ears for each of them, etc.

All of the recipients were very happy with their baskets and I thought Shirley did an excellent job in the presentation and content of each of them We plan to use her services for our cruise next year too

Those look awesome! I'm trying to come up with one for everyone, but I just haven't been able to think of anything to put in them yet. About the only thing I've come up with so far is cookies, I know they'll all love that, but as for anything else, no luck so far. I'm supposed to call Shirley back next week to see what we can come up with. Then I have to figure out how to keep my mouth shut (can't keep a secret, lol).

Shirley will be full of ideas for you - her work is AWESOME! Are they sports fans - a team basket has and can be done. Suntan lotion, underwater cameras, pop, water, beer, wine, champagne and flutes, beach towels, snacks, reading material - to name a few.

Not big sports fans. I know I'll come up with something, it's just a matter of what. I know no matter what they'll like it. It's the thought that counts.

Last year we had a beautiful basket of two lovely wines, with a corkscrew done by SHIRLEY, for my Father-in-law..Sorry no pics, but it was done as only Shirley does..Just my two cents....I know I racked my brain also...

2 bottles of wine, corkscrew 45$
24 corona 40$ approx...
2 childrens baskets 35-40$

So the price goes by what you have put in the basket, right? Alcohol wise, can she get just about anything? My parents don't drink, but DH & I do, so I wanted something in there like that for us, but we both have our favorites. And pretty much anything can go in the baskets right? I don't guess she could put a creme brulee in it could she? LOL, dad's fav. He'd get a kick out of that if there was one, but I highly doubt that since it needs to stay cold.

Hello there,
I decided today to play hookey from work, come home and relax - haven't done this in so long that I forgot how to just "chill out"
anyhow there really isn't a set price on gift baskets since we always try to work with the customer's budget and this is something I ask almost from the beginning. Sometimes it is so low, that it is hard, but we do the best we can - now I have encouraged customers to send a few items down to add to their gifts simply it saves monies for them and most of all it does give it such a personable touch, the only thing now it I have received packages with over 30 items, price tags still on everything and all they want is a gift tote etc to put all the stuff in - I don't know yet if I am going to stop the "personal touch", but I just thought I would mention this - I know everyone wants to send everything they buy to add to the baskets, but too this is unfair to the shop simply because I can not keep up with the expense to put it all together, store the stuff etc - this is not to make anyone upset with me for that is not my intention - I do want to still allow those that want to send items to do so, but it has to stay under 3 items for each child - I know it is cheaper but I too have to make the practice profitable. Now if I am made anyone upset, please don't be I am just sharing my thoughts and my feelings- I am putting this out for future reference.
Also I always donate my MAW children a gift basket and just for the wish child since I do this in honor of my 2 children - I can not donate more than one any longer - I wish I could keep doing something for the other children, but I have to concentrate on the MAW child. There are so many little children that my MAW list is long, but I have never ever regretted or ever wanted anything in return.
I sincerely pray from my heart that each understand and will not be offended by these statements. I will always help no matter the cause.

I hear you baskets are great, Shirley, so I doubt anyone will be offended. In fact, I was going to call today to order 2, but since you are home, I'll call tomorrow. I have another post asking for ideas for the basket since I don't know what you can put in.

SHirley you are an amazing person, who does so many services for everyone, I can not even imagine anyone being angry...

Is there something we could all do to help with the MAW???? I would be glad to send some things, if it were to help you, and the children...
