The Party of 3 Appreciation Thread

I wanted to start a thread all for Holly.

She asked for my new address soon after we got the keys, and said she was sending me a little something to celebrate. Well, we've been so busy that I had forgotten about it. Yesterday, DH said, "Do you know a Holly A---?" And I was like, "No, why?"

"Because she sent you something"

"Oh, Holly! Party of 3!"

Thank you very much for the packet. I had a mental note to pick up "new address" cards to send to the grandparents and other family who doesn't have email, and now I don't have to. The gift card was completely unexpected, and will be much appreciated. I am going to use it to buy a pair of floating shelves for the scrap room.

I know this has been a really rough year for you, and that just getting back into the day-to-day routine has been hard. It would be unexpected for someone not dealing with extra baggage, to send something to an "imaginary, internet friend/potential internet stalker psycho." For you to go out of your way, and to think of us, shows how kind and generous of a person you are. Your mom and Bubba are so lucky to have a daughter and mother like you.

Holly is literally the sweetest person I know! She sent me a thank you card after we went shopping together at Jo's a couple weekends ago! (I'm sure her DH is not thanking me). It made me feel so good to get nice mail!

I can vouch for the generosity of the Holly family.

They sent a whole box full of their state's icons & symbols for a project my Eldest was doing. And her WHOLE family contributed to it. All I wanted was a postcard. We still talk about what great imaginary friends I have.

ah shucks guys. thanks for all the kind words. it really was no big deal Hope. I just remember how exciting it was for me! i just wanted to pay it forward!

can i just have one moment to say thank you to ALL of you. this has been the roughest thing for me to deal with and w/out all of you i would have never made it. so i thank each and every one of you with all my heart.

i think i do the things i do because my mother was like that. she taught me that it will make you feel good to do a good deed for someone else. so she lives on in me!

Holly is the sweetest. She brought a gorgeous vintage flowers birthday cake for me at my last crop. The bakery she goes to makes the prettiest cakes I have ever seen. I was so touched that she took the time out of her day to do that for me.

And yes, Holly, birthday cake should be CHOCOLATE!!!

i really do love each and everyone of you. you are the best friends a girl could have. and all of you do something nice for me all the time. so it's just what we do for each other. i swear i love this little corner of my world. we have such a nice little family.

But there is no hurry. We are in Hot Chocolate season now. We tried to do the coffee milk warm, but is was way too much like real coffee for him. Go figure.

Holly is a sweetheart! I love the castles she spent so much time making a bunch of us- and I thought it was very sweet when she had me pick up My First Mickey Ears and mail them up for someone's baby.

Every time I see Hol's at Lisa's crop she fauns all over my monsters pictures and reminds me how truly blessed I am to have the family that I do. Even when they drive me absolutely bonkers, I love that Holly grounds me a bit and gives me that nudge to remember the sweetness and and kindness I get from my big ol' brood.
