I hope the lime green tape helps too! LS came to pick the box up around 9:30 an when Josh&Brendan'sMommy tried to pick it up about 3 hours later LS could not find the box!Don't know if the box was not in it's usual palce or it they were looking for the old box. The next few swapper might want to describe the box to them if they say that they can't find it.
The top of the box has multipe layers of cardboard (I had to do surgery on it once I got there!) so if the bottom starts to get weak the box can be flipped and we'll have a stronger base. I left a roll of paper towels and some silly bands. My kids - ages 21, 18 and 16 - left silly bands for our servers at our meals. The CMs loved them!
Thanks for the use of the fridge, it really came in handy with the heat and the late hours that we kept.

You're probably right-they were looking for the old box that's been being used for over 2 years.

So, for those of you going soon, look at the new picture so you can describe the new box. Mention the green duct tape!

Isn't it annoying when someone signs up for 2 fridges and only needs one? I understand that they want to make sure they get one but they should understand that by signing up for 2 to make sure they get one it can jeopardize the whole thing? Occasionally I will check other thread to see if someone I have is on another list. If they are I'll contact them and make sure they need two (that's when you'll see a (2) by their name.) Sometimes they honestly forget they are on 2 lists, other times not.

I haven't had someone fail to use mine because they have 2 reserved but I have had (in the past) a few swappers who failed to pick it up because they just didn't "have time" in their busy vacation to go to Luggage Services. Now that's one that really flames me! I've had mine go MIA after that has happened.

Most people are very reliable and concientious (sp?) but every once in awhile there are the other kind. You know the ones I mean...Too busy to reply to PMs, too busy to pick up fridge on time-or at all, too busy to let you know all went well. Luckily those are few and far between. I just recently had one that I had to drop from my swap since she failed to reply to multiple PMs-and she was a last minute fill-in. But then on the other hand there are those who add items to the swap, bring a new box, update in a timely manner-it's for those who are truly appreciative of what we do that we do this for, right?

Have you ever had ones who contact you who think this is something that Disney arranges? I've had a few like that who think I have many fridges to assign. Too funny!

Hopefully your fridge will be okay in LS. I know at first they said they could only hold things for 2 weeks but it seems like this isn't always the case. My fridge (and at least one other one) were MIA for about 4 months the first of this year and turns out they were in LS all the time. Just sitting there.

I'm sending you some magic that you will fill some of your gap or it will still be there on Aug. 6th. You might want to call in the next few days (do you have free cell phone on weekends) just to check on it and let them know it will be picked up on the 6th.

I do try and check the other swaps to see if anyone has doubled up, but with only your Fridge in the original sticky it gets hard to find them all.

I have asked a few times for my Fridge Swap thread to be added but the moderator that started it must not come on here.

I've given the swapper that is at Pop the information to leave on the fridge, hopefully they will at least add that so the next swapper can find it.

That should work. Yeah the fridge swap thread with everything you want to know about fridge swaps is really obsolete. They should just remove it.

Went to Disneyland yesterday for awhile after DD11 got out of school. My DSis had to upgrade her 3 day PH to an AP by Saturday. We were only there for awhile. It was pretty crowded and pretty hot. We rode 3 rides!

Anyway, while there I got a text from MDKLHunter that the fridge was MIA! Oh no! Track101 had it picked up in his room at about 10 a.m. and when MDKLHunter when to pick it up they (LS) couldn't find it.

So early this a.m. I sent a PM to Track asking for any info he could provide and he quickly gave me the time it was picked up, CMs name, and his room number. (Thanks J for your quick response!)

On the way to the dentist this a.m. I called POP LS and spoke to Wanda. Gave her my info and she said she was the one who sent the CM to Track's room. She put me on hold and came back shortly to say she found it. It was in one of the "luggers" they have. She said this is where the put the fridges. I believe I have spoken to Wanda in the past and she has always been very helpful.

She said she would send it to MDKL's room. I called and spoke with MDKL and let her know.

So, we are back on track after being MIA for part of one day.

Track tried to get a claim check from CM but they said they don't give them anymore.

If you are leaving the fridge at LS, here's what I would like you to do, just in case.---

If you have it picked up in your room, make note of the time picked up, CM's name, and your room number. That way if I need it I can get if from you. If you drop it off, please get the name of the CM and note the approx. time.

If you are picking up from LS and they don't find it-make sure the check the "luggers"

I always feel like I got something major accomplished when I can find the fridge in Florida all the way from California! It just goes to prove that never say never. Even after missing earlier this year for months, the fridge always returns. This month marks our 5 year anniversary-who knew?

Okay, i just spent the last few hours doing some housekeeping on my PMs in storage. I went from 195 messages to ........ drumroll please.....36!

Basically, I keep the PMs requesting my fridge and when I get the info back from the swapper I will copy and paste all the info I need into one PM and then forward it to myself. Then I move it to my "Fridge Info" folder so it's readily available.

Guess I was a little behind but I am not re-organized! Now it's time for dinner.
