I've only gone to WDW once during the holidays and it was magical! I guess I just have to settle for going to DLR as much as possible. Maybe again this Friday?

Update on the swap -

All went well with dropping it off in LS, we added some laundry soap to the box. The outside of the fridge was filthy when we got it so we took some baby wipes to it. Maybe getting it in a new box would be beneficial as it was difficult to fit all the stuff in together...

Getting ready to head south to Disney late tonight - drive all night and be there in the early morning tomorrow. Will be meeting SleepingBeautyMom for a face-to-face swap. Then after we leave Disney on 25th (heading over closer to Universal for 4 more nights), will be boxing up the fridge to leave for Momof3mouseketeers who arrrives on the 28th. I will try to contact SleepingBeautyMom one more time (pm'ed her about the box dimensions) to see if I can locate another box to bring with us. I wrote a pm to you too, DisneyDaz this weekend and haven't seen a reply yet, but we are all on go for our swaps. Thanks for this opportunity - even though we are only at Pop for 2 nights - a fridge is a great extra!!!! Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas - now pray for the rain NOT to hit the parks on Christmas Eve and Day!!!!!

Have a great time! The fridge dimensions are approx. L 19" x W 17" x H 21". A new box would need to be a little larger to easily fit the fridge and the extra items. The toaster will fit inside the fridge itself so it must be the hotpot that is hard to fit in. I don't know the size of it but I would imagine a box 4"-5" taller would work great.

Only thing about getting a new box is the new box will need to have my information on it. (Dizneydaz, etc.) A few Green Mickey heads would be great as well. I attached a list of upcoming swappers, in Sept., to the box. It would be great if it could be transferred to the new box. Additionally our current box is covered in duct tape which has held it together well as well as making it easier to identify. A new box should have the corners and edges covered with duct tape, if possible, to keep it together.

Final thing-if we get a new box I would love to have a picture of it.

I got your PMs and I'll call you later today to talk about the new box. Sorry I didn't respond sooner but it's only 3 days to Christmas!

We now have a new box - size is 18" W X 24" L X 18 1/2" H. I have reinforced the whole bottom, the edges of the open flaps and the edges of the box with duct tape (that almost took a whole roll - couldn't completely cover the box). My son, Tyler, has made 4 signs with "DIZNEYDAZ" on all of them along with "Walt Disney World Resort" on one and a Picture of "Pop Century Resort" on another, Mickey on another, and Mickey Hat on another, each are 8X11 and we placed one on each side to make the box easily identifiable from any side. Each is covered in clear packing tape.

Looking forward to hitting the road in about 3 hours!!! Disney, HERE WE COME!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!

We were one of the first ones and I think we are the only one who is still around from that first group. (though I'm not sure as I haven't kept track of the all the orignal ones).

We are heading to Universal Studios Florida in the morning. We had a great time in Disney even the rain did not stop the fun in the parks! Temperature has dropped about 20 degrees today. We did clean the refrigerator and hotpot well and it is ready for Momof3Mouseketeers!

Just to give a heads up, the freezer door was broken but is now fixed thanks to my husband. He was able to "creatively" fix it. If you pull it off it will come off, he used a screw for the top post but it can fall off but it will snap back in place, so don't worry! The new box worked although 1/2"inch short in height, but the top DOES close. For all new swappers, it is encouraged that you may wish to bring packing tape to ensure that the top stays closed. ALSO: It froze three bottles of water over night, working great with the freezer door shut!

TO DIZNEYDAYZ: I will send you pictures of the new box as soon as I can. We are on a busy schedule with the theme parks, but I will have time Monday night to send them to you. Thanks for starting such a great program and I hope everyone had a very MERRY MERRY Christmas and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Great suggestion about the packing tape-if one of the next swappers could bring some along that would be great! Thanks to your DH for fixing the freezer door-I didn't know it was broken. Yes, the freezer does work really well! If you have it for more than a few days you'll want to keep an eye on it so you don't freeze things in the fridge-see my note regarding this on page 1.

Anyway, thank you fridge swap friends for including us-first day itinerary: downtown Disney, maybe miniature golf and then chip n dales campfire sing along and movie at the wilderness resort.
