Yep, I am grateful for that. They are supposed to be calling tomorrow to schedule a thyroid scan, I hope I can get it scheduled ASAP. I'm trying not to freak out but of course I am googling (which is bad news) so its hard.

I'm going to see if there are any rooms available for if I'm able to go to Disney. I'm not sure if we will go at all, now I think my car needs to go in the shop, but I want to wait until after Steven gets his truck fixed.

Ashley, on Fridays I work from 9pm to whenever the plane gets in. Last Friday/Saturday I didn't get home until 4 in the morning! Work is going good, but there's so much to learn, I keep on making mistakes. I feel as though I ask too many dumb questions. I haven't gotten certified to drive the jetbridge, I'm terrified that I will put a hole in the plane. I have a pretty awesome schedule until November, Saturday thru Mondays off and some of my coworkers are jealous.

I forgot to add, I think I'm going to apply for a Professional Internship with Disney. More specifically a Cast Deployment Internship. I really want this internship, even more so that the travel internships, I have no idea why. I have a few ideas that might help with so many CM's being deployed. Who knows, they might even already be doing what I've thought of! I just have no idea how to word my resume to show that I've thought of something to help. I don't want to let them know what my idea is, they'll have to hire me to find out!

Nicole, that's a great idea going for an internship! I was looking on the Disney jobs site the other day and they have so many fantastic opportunities. I would just put something on your resume about creative thinking skills and being proactive with solutions.. blah blah blah (as Emma said to me on the phone the other day, the little stinker!). Definitely don't tell them any ideas without a paycheck!!

Ashley, shame on you for medi-Googling!! Don't you know better by now? Even if all you have is a runny nose, it's a death sentence according to Google. I'm sure you'll be fine. You are very lucky that they caught it early, hopefully it'll be easy to manage and won't be a big deal. I've known lots of people with thyroid issues and the worst are the ones who either didn't catch it early or didn't get the care they needed.

We are down to 8 days already... oh my goodness I have to think about packing! I think I'll just throw some crap in a suitcase and be done with it.

I am so happy today -- my unemployment money actually came through! I refused to believe it until I saw it. It's funny because they send a text message for each deposit, and there are 2 deposits for each week (the regular amount plus a special supplement as part of the ARRA). My phone was going crazy this morning, 20 texts came in all at the same time!!

I've been staying in for lunch all week, but today I am going shopping!! Sadly it's not for anything exciting, gotta fill all my Rx's and buy essentials that I've been putting off.

Do any of you have AT&T U-Verse for tv/internet? I just ordered it and they give you $250 cash back if you order online. I hope we like it. Lyzzie's only concern was if we will still get the Disney channel. It will be installed after we get back home from WDW.

Tomorrow we are having our garage sale. I'm hoping for NO RAIN! It's been drizzly for days. A few years ago we had a garage sale on a rainy day and made a whopping $2. The kids will be so sad since this is how they're earning most of their WDW spending money!

We did great at the garage sale today, we made just over $300!! About 1/2 of that is mine, and of the other 1/2 Emma made about $25 more than Lyzzie. Lyzzie had a hard time getting rid of her stuff which is funny because she is the one who loves to shop, so she's very jealous that Emma made more money. Emma of course is lording it over her sister and bragging to anyone who will listen that she made more money!

I had a weird night at work tonight. After my TDS shift my store manager came in and had a "talk" with me, with one of the assistant managers there too. Apparently a couple weeks ago I accidentally shortchanged a guest, and my store manager was out of town so nobody could talk to me about it until now. It was an honest mistake but I feel really horrible about it, took it personally, and I hate to admit it but I cried. I can't help it, I'm a big baby. And of course once I start, I can't stop. So I sat there leaking through the next 40 minutes and now I'm thoroughly confused. I thought I was going to get fired. She ended up making suggestions on how to get on the management track. Then on the way out to the parking lot she was quizzing me on manager procedures (which, how would I know?). It was all very awkward and pretty horrible, but may have turned out good? I don't even know! I still love the job and (most of) the people I work with.

Lin, we actually don't have a lot planned for our trip! Now that I have some "fun money" for the trip, I'm thinking of trying to book something special. I can't decide between MNSSHP, the Family Magic Tour for me & the girls, or either Mickey's Magical Milestones or The Magic Behind the Steam Trains for me and Lyzzie and BBB or the Pirate Makeover for Emma. Or maybe one of the pirate cruises for the kids. I have no idea! I'll probably just end up saving the money and not doing any of those. I kind of want to have a more laid back trip this time. I don't know if I can, but I'd like to at least try!

We have ADR's at Boma, Garden Grill (for me & the girls while my folks will be at Coral Reef), CRT, Ohana, Yak & Yeti (I still might change that one last-minute), Crystal Palace for breakfast, and Tony's Town Square. I can't believe it's only a week away. Where did the summer go?!

I feel really bad. We were at the mall today buying Disney pj's for the girls, and we went into Claire's and they had really cute Halloween accessories. I let the girls pick out a few things to put together costumes and told them we will go to MNSSHP with my garage sale earnings. I just now went on the website to get tickets and either the prices went up or I don't remember it being that much. I don't think I can bring myself to pay that much for just a few hours. It was so much fun last year and I know we'd really love it, but I had some serious sticker shock! Now I'm thinking I should just return the stuff I bought and tell the kids I couldn't get tickets. What was I thinking?!

Ticket prices did go up. We are considering going Sept 29 or Oct. 1, but I'm not sure if I want to spend the money. We could stay a night or two later instead. Of course, I do want to do MVMCP, so I may just save up for that.

Awesome news Lyzziesmom!!

Heard from the Dr. today. Called to schedule the thyroid scan the Dr. wanted me to have, and found out they want me to go off my meds for 4 weeks before the procedure & need permission from my Dr. to do that. Called him back and he said he never heard of having to do that before a thyroid scan, and that he was going to talk to some endocrinologist friends/associates and call me back.

He actually called me back within a couple hours cool1: after his office didn't return my calls last week) and said that he spoke to a couple specialists and they all agreed- under no circumstances am I "allowed" to go off meds so the thyroid scan is canceled. He said the nodule they found was less than 1 centimeter in size and they are going to do another ultrasound in 3 months, and if the nodule has stayed the same size or shrunk from the meds that's terrific, if it grows I will have to see an endo and get a biopsy scared1. I will have blood work in a few weeks to see if the dosage of meds I'm on is working. So- that's my update!

Ashley, I'm no doctor but I've been to enough of them so I'm gonna give you my unprofessional opinion anyway. It sounds to me like your doctor isn't worried and the testing is just to confirm that everything is ok (well as ok as it can be). I am concerned about one thing though...

But seriously, that sounds like good news. I know we Libras are worriers and you will anyway, so I won't tell you not to worry. We will just hope that the meds do their job!

My mom kindly offered to take care of refilling my prescriptions for me since I was having so much trouble. Darn pharmacies with their darn laws! So that's one thing I can cross off my list. I did my returns at TDS today and was supposed to pick up my pay stubs but forgot, so I need to go back AGAIN. I need the stubs for some unemployment paperwork that has to be sent in ASAP. I have to go cash in a year's worth of change at the Coinstar and go to the bank. Tomorrow is Back to School Nite at the girls' school and will take all evening, from after work until bedtime. And I have to stop by my school to pick up next quarter's books. And I only have 4 days to get it all done -- plus I still have work and I think I work at TDS one of those days. Gah! Where's that running-around-with-hair-on-fire smiley when you need it?

Whew, I feel a little better getting it out. Except I forgot one teeny little thing... I have to PACK! Don't mind me if I look a little weird at WDW, since I'll probably be throwing random stuff in the suitcases the morning before we leave.

I'm going to try to sleep now. Ashley, I will finalize my itinerary in the next couple days and send it to you and Amber. I'm probably not making too many concrete plans, just ideas of which parks/which days and winging it from there. So we can try to be in the same parks together sometimes and call each other to meet up. We were looking at your pics on fb today, I didn't realize Lyzzie didn't know what you look like. She knows Ruby though!

Seriously though, I'm not so worried anymore. The Dr. seems to be taking every precaution that he thinks is necessary. I don't want to go having needles stuck in my neck if I can avoid it.

I'm trying to convince Jeremiah to leave Tuesday instead of Wednesday morning. I think I almost have him convinced. We will probably stay at a cheap hotel Tuesday night, and that's fine with me because we will probably be getting in late.

Amber and Lyzziesmom, please please please remind me, I want to make sure you guys have Jeremiah's phone # too. I hate carrying around my phone at Disney so I usually make him schlep all that stuff.

I am finally starting to get excited about my trip!!! I've been having all these things happening so I haven't really had a chance to be happy about stuff. Right now I'm REALLY excited about it! I wish we could sneak MNSSHP in, but I don't think we can justify the cost. We can always see how much $$$ we are spending when we there and see if we want to buy tickets.

Oh my gosh Ashley, I remember all those pics like they were yesterday, but Emma looks so LITTLE!! And my hair is totally different now (thank goodness!). I will definitely show the girls, they'll love seeing those pics.

I know what you mean about not getting excited. I haven't given this trip nearly as much thought as I usually do, just so many other things going on. Do you still have my phone #? You'll have to text me with Jeremiah's number so I have it in my phone, otherwise I might forget to program it. I'm assuming your number and Amber's number haven't changed.

I'm still undecided on MNSSHP. The girls REALLY want to do it, but I'm with you on trying to justify the cost. My mom is trying to convince us not to do it, which of course makes me want to just so I can tell her we had a great time and she was wrong. I'm evil like that.

My parents are mad because I sold Emma's stroller at the garage sale. They wanted to use it to lug "stuff" around the parks! I said just bring a bag and don't bring so much crap. I'm thrilled to not have to shlep a stroller around -- park it, retrieve it, park it, retrieve it, unload it, fold it, lug it on the bus, unfold it, load it, park it, retrieve it... no thank you. We never even used 90% of the stuff we lugged around anyway.

Ashley, tell Jeremiah you MUST leave a night earlier so you can get to the parks in the morning! NO EXCUSES!

As for the MNSSHP, I don't think we'll be doing it either. The price has gone up and it's really expensive even with the AP discount. I think it makes more sense to try and stay for a night or two later on.
Still, I really want to go to MVMCP even if it is expensive (I like it better and Christmas is my favorite holiday...)

If I had extra money though, I probably would go to the party. It is really fun and the parade and fireworks are awesome!


Spencer was a PILL yesterday. He barely slept and then was in a GIANT bad mood. The fit he threw in the bathtub was unbelievable and he almost cracked his head open.

So far today, he is OK; I am hoping it stays that way.
