My DD friend (age 15) laid back teen 2nd trip
MY DF (age 62) lost her partner last year but is very young at heart 2nd trip

My DD set her heart on buying a Lotso hugs bear from Toy Story 3. We had seen him in our local disney strore but wanted to wait and get a disneyland Paris one as a souvenir.

Everyone seamed to have seen him around the park shops.We looked everywhere and asked everyone, but no Lotoso. This trip is now known as "The one where we didnt find Lotso".


Day 1 traveling day

Up early to catch the 8am from Hull to Doncaster then to london kings cross all trains one time so arrived in st pancras at 11am for the 12.57 eurostar ,a nice young man helped us print out our (16) tickets and we checked in and waited in the lounge .We where soon on our way
Yes the girls are 15 but they got the kids packs ,the lady also offered me one

All was going well until calais when the points failed so we had to back up and go on a different track sounds simple but the driver had to walk to the other end of the train and back again and do safety drill a each end so it was a hour (but found out there is compensation for this so sent off)
anyway we arrived at liile not knowing what to do really but i asked a man who said "oh yes mickey train platform 45 and we where on it and off we went. We got to the kyriad for about 6.30pm checked in easy and got early breakfast card as i requested(for EMH. We found room 2081 chucked clothes in wardrobe got num 54 pink bus off to park:

Well my face dropped when i saw the queue for the annual passport out the door but we had to wait as we had used temp passes and needed them for next day so over a hour later we had them thank you ce-multi

After the long wait we where dying to go on a ride so did POTC and BTM in the dark then had a excited nights sleep

Great start What's inside the Kids pack, are they free??? (I have never been on the Eurostar, so that's why the question might be a bit stupid)

A jigsaw.pen. activity book ,lots of kids use the bag in the park for there autograph book ect ,they don,t advertise it you just ask at the desk i the euro star lounge don,t think she knew how old my kids where

So today was our first ever EMH up showered dressed fed and at the gates for 8 It felt so good to be entering the park on the right hand side near the DLH . Main st was so quite and beautiful I couldn,t belive it ,took a few photos near the castle it would be rude not to

into fantasy land to do peterpan,dumbo,teacups and carousel all walk on
fantasyland all empty

So then we crossed over to do buzz and the girls did SM which is a bit hard on the head still esp at 9am

We then join i with the rope drop for frontier land where having two teenage girls comes in handy as they went flying off to get FP for BTM ,in fact they where so fast that we didnt notice untill later that the passes didnt have a time on them and said test passes i think they got there even before the cm,c tested the machines

We did PM and POTC and went back to do BTM with FP the cm laughed at the passes when i explained we were first at the machines, great ride the waterfall was working and very welcome as the weather was getting hot

Went for a sit down at the 12.30 Tarzan show good to have this back

and then went to eat at colonel hathis pizza outpost very busy here ,but got to use my 10% annual pass discount for the first time ,girls had pizza me and my friend had lazagne and salad (no pic was hungry prob a pattern starting here ) it was all hot and tasty

We had a walk round adventure land and saw these guys and had a wish on the lamp

Then the girls got a FP for Indy (I dont do upsidedown)
went on star tours and took a look at the new improved dragon

Used indy FP and as the girls only wanted to ride the once and we had 4 passes i gave them to a grateful but bemused young couple

Got another FP for BTM and got a spot for dream paarde just near the pink towers at the entrance to fantasy land ,good spot as no one could stand next to me on one side as i was leaning against the tower loverly colourfull parade

Went back to BTM and had a great ride with a very noisy group who screamed , and clapped loved it ,

Then back to the good old kyriad to flake out

Busy day today whens it not
Up for EM and did Peter Pan,teacups and dumbo

Then off to the studios( They opended gates at 9.30 for crushes olympics which is our fun name for the run to crush ,we sent the girls ahead and we joined them at our slower pace crush was up and running straight away so was on and off by 10.am result
Then got our fast passes for TOT
and walked to toy story land which was new to me and queued for the parachutes which looked a small queue but i didn,t know that the shed you wait in was quite large but think it was still only 30mins wait oh and they go higher than you think ,
I bottled out of RC racer when i saw it but the girls used the single rider line which was only 10 mins

It was then time for TOT love this so much
After that a rest was needed so head to Cinemagique all was going well until the custard pie bit then all the lights went one and everyone was asked to leave
So got a FP for R&R and decided to take the tram tour ,er big mistake the queue didnt look bad but it took forever to load people on and off some of the carriages where not in use and the ride seem so lame so not impressed think it needs to go
Then went to use FP for R&R but that was broke down

Oh well time for luchn we choose the blockbuster cafe €11.99 for a choice of main (pasta pizza baggett,croc,salad) bag of crisps drink and a choice of lots of yummy puds like these

After lunch we did stich live the show seemed short (he didnt have a girlfriend) Went back to R&R but still not working

So grabed a spot for star and cars love this and there s not so much pushing ect for a space

After the parade we where right near cinemamagique so it was take 2 for the last showing like the new bits

it was around 6.30 and the girls heared R&R was working so they had a last ride although it broke down as they where nearing the end

The studios was closing it was a fab time to take photos

we stopped for a quick look in the courtyard shop some very good sale items in there

Back to the main parka quick bite in the market st deli and a ride on POTC ,I noticed it was 8.30 and people already sitting for parade we grabbed a spot around 9pm I had been texting guilia from the forum for a while knowing we where there at the same time and it was her 50th birthday ,she came to find me to say hello she looked so nice and was very happy to be celebrating her birthday at DLP and had had a nice meal at inventions ,it was really amazing to meet someone off here not to mention she lives in italy .Then around 10pm i stood up to stretch and gets some feeling in my bum and the people behind me started shouting at me to sit down almost chanting at me ,i turned around and gave them a right piece of my mind i tell you it was chaos anyway by 10.15 when the parade started

well fantillusion came and went

And then we moved to the front of the castle for DREAMSwell WOW WOW WOW my video dosn,t do it justice amazing eat your heart out WDW

totaly done for we went off to bed

So up for EMH again we are so hard core
Just did Buzz x2 and girls braved SM again it was so empty

We went over to city hall to book our breakfast at city hall for the next day and got 9.30am slot
Went over to the studio and girls ran to crush again did really really well and we were on and off the the ride by 9.50 ,so got FP for TOT
Girls went off on their own to go round toy story play land they went on RC racer,parachutes and slinky dog and took some photos

Betty and I went to stand with the other kids in the queue for mickey and buzz ,buzz saw my water bottle and gestered i,d been drinking ,girls disowned us at this point and waited in the shade

Rode TOT with fast with some very noisy people who screamed really really loud so good fun
The girls used the FP from yestadays breakdown and rode R&R
Lunch was in the blockbuster cafe we really liked it in there we sat at the pirates side ,it wasn,t too busy and its quick as you serve yourself

Walked back to main park was really hot today around 32 degrees so did IASM and Pinocchio and a walk round the castle where the band was playing

We found out that when we bought a meal we where getting a voucher for a free drink so we worked out if we all payed separate we got 4 vouchers you could use then for a hot or cold drink in the main park between 3pm and 6pm so we had our at the fantasia gelati ,there is a small door next to the shop and we saw many charactors come and go by inculding the princesess on their way to the pavillion

Made our way to use FP on BTM and ran in to this guy megan was so happy

whoops BTM broken so went in viilage to look in shops lots of sales in the old disney store ,bit dissapointed in the World od disney store just had the same stuff as in parks just in a bigger space
So hot now so went back to hotel for a rest and a shower
All fresh we went for tea at the Earl of Sandwich cant praise this enough totally yummy(hence no pics) good value and service love the light up thing they give you to say when the food was ready

Went back to main park BTM was back on so used our eailer FP and had one more ride on PM left for home at 9,30

No EMH this morning (wimps)
just a coffee in the kyriad where we met up with another diser gracieclaire and her family nice to meet you claire
And then off to our breakfast at cafe mickey paid and was seated straight away got our 10%
food was ok not great scrambled eggs,sausage,greasy bacon ect good coffee though and good charactor interaction ,thought before there where sweets for the kids to pick and little doughnuts but think its cut backs anyway saw mickey,chip and dale,goofy.pulto and eyore

Then my DD bought a t shirt from planet hollywood(10% here as well)
went back to sudio got FP for TOT and notice R&RC wasnt working again
So sat and had a drink and and a shop till TOT time

Well what afab ride on TOT a cm called jerome took quite a shine to megan and was picking on her in the queue in the lift and he was waiting forher at the bottom when she came off the ride thanks jerome it was great
Girls went off on thier own for a while to see the sunt show

And me and betty popped back to the hotel to pack well throw clothes in a case we freshed up (still hot) so on our way back to meet girls we had a cheeky pint in the sports bar
and took note of the cocktails for later

And did POTC to stay in the shade the park looked great
grabbed a FP for BTM on our way to tea at the luckey nugget

As we had a late breakfast and no lunch we where hungry aroun 5.30 this was a good time to eat as it was not busy andvery calm and cool it was €15 for a choice of fish and chips ,burger, ribs and some other things along with a brownie and unlimitted drinks refills

we had the chicken burger (real strips of chicken) and enjoyed the entertainment which was not up to much

After tea did ST twice and pickd up some cheap 1€ magnets from the star wars shop walked into fantasy land and saw princess pavillion was only 30mins megan ws up for it but my DD complain a lot :rotfl not keen on this set up seemed very dull in there we saw 0ne princess (thought you saw 2) and you dont know who it is till the very last second (the WDW set up looks so much better)any how here is one photo think the better ones are on bettys camera

A walk round the maze and then FP for BTM but guess what its not working
Well only one thing for it cocktails in the sports bar

OH and on the way out we did a survy for some new produts we had to say ifwe like the art work and waht we thought they where selling it was like a boutique style with the princesses in a parisien look ,it looked like it was for ladies perfume ,make up and toileteries prob expensive

So last day up early and on to EMH

As we walked up main st minnie had just come out so stopped to say hello

The girls want to get the ride tally up so did

forgot to say saw my flynn eailer in the week

Had a coffee at the bake shop and headed towards POTC but it was broken so did BTM with last nights fast passes then by 11am POTC ws working so this was our last ride before heading home

Trip back went really really smooth girls loved the fact where upstairs on the TGV arivved in london with a million others for the olympics but customs was really quick thumbsup london )

SO yet another very very busy trip very tired but my view is while you are there do it all ,park looked amazing ,few ride breakdowns, cms friendly ,few rude folk DREAMS WOW ,bought load loved the sales ,will i be using my annual pass again we will have to see here the link to all my photos grab a coffee or 3 and have a browse

Love your trip report Lynette and you had a wonderful time with the girls, mind you Brian's not going to read it but *only girls* trips are A LOT better

oh yes my husbands pet hates are queues and shopping im surprised he survived 5 trips lol this was my 3rd girls only trip

I've really enjoyed reading this, what a shame it's had to end. It was so nice that you met Giulia and Gracieclaire and yay, your DD got her Lotso!

Hope it won't be too long before you get to go back.

That was a great trip report. I can't believe they didn't have any Lotsos in the park. He was all over WDW in Dec and he is just the cutest thing. I got a small one myself and he still smells of strawberries
