Thursday 16 April
We decided to go in for EMH and then come back to do our packing.
We had bets with each other on the bus that Buzz would not be working it seems a tradition on our last day. We were right! So Dtr went on Space Mountain and then we went to Fantasyland with the faintest glimmer of hope in our hearts that Pinocchio would be open no. We knew then that we would have to QUEUE WITH NORMAL PEOPLE! Gasp. We went on Peter Pan instead then went to the shop in the DLH to get Dtr the t-shirt she had been eyeing up all week.
It was time to go pack and for Dtr to change into her new t-shirt of course. It didnt take us very long and we were back at the Park with our luggage by 10 oclock. We put our stuff into Guest Storage and went to queue for Pinocchio. It looked a very long queue already but in fairness it was only 20 minutes that we waited.
Next was our farewell ride on POTC and when we came out Captain Jack Sparrow was there, wowing all the girls. I love the way he poses with his hands.
Not long after leaving there we saw these two.
We went to Phantom Manor and had to wait about 25 minutes for that ride this was definitely the busiest day so far. We picked up FPs for BTM and went to see how IJ was doing it had a 45 minute wait!
We decided not to bother and as we walked back past Colonel Hathis some TamTam drummers were just on their way out and they walked with their drums and set up outside Hakuna Matata. They were so goooood!
The chap on the left in the photo was very funny pulling lots of faces at the people in the crowd and then exaggerated grinning. After a while he pulled some guys out of the audience to do a really funny dance highly embarrassing for them but they were good sports. The last woman they called up really went to town and shook her stuff good and proper. (Interestingly Dtr says she saw her later on in a CM uniform so that bit could have been a set up) Anyway it was a lovely unplanned (by us anyway) Disney moment which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We went to pick up some FPs for Buzz as we had missed out during EMH and then watched Minnies Party Train arrive at the Hub. Dtr managed to get autographs from Minnie and Pluto but I sat on the Castle walls and relaxed instead of following her into the scrums to get photos.
We made our way to Disney Village for our 12.30 booking at Café Mickeys. We had a really nice meal here,
saw quite a few characters and got to see the CMs do Aretha Franklins Think, which was a first for us.
Goofy jumped up on the bench next to me to dance and I thought he was going to fall on me he bounced around so much.
We bought a couple of bits in the Disney Store and then went into the Park for the 3rd time that day and final time that holiday.
It was time to use the BTM FPs Dtr was able to ride twice in 35 minutes while the normal wait time was 75 minutes. I enjoyed seeing further signs of spring.
We sat outside Plaza Gardens for a short while listening to the pre-parade music and watching the world go by.
It was now time for our Buzz FPs so we had 2 goes round and we got some very high scores (for us).
I made my final purchases in Lilys Boutique and left the Park for the last time this visit.
But we were not finished we had time to go over to Studios to see Stitch Live as a final attraction. We saw (and sat next to) Scampbunny in the Stitch show, stood and chatted for a while and then it really was time to go. We collected our luggage from Guest Storage, said goodbye to Panoramagique, which was high in the sky and then we made our way to the station.
Once back home we surveyed our numerous purchases, declared ourselves 'well happy' and looking forward to August!
