Enjoy!!!
My excitement today was going to lunch with one of my co-workers.
Hey, that's fun enough! I wish I could go to lunch at someplace that wasn't a drive through! We had McDonald's, at least dinner should be nice. Heading out soon to the Carthay Circle Restaurant.
Enjoy it for the rest of us in a heat wave!
It was nice, but still hot in the shade. I couldn't really relax because I knew that I still had to change Fran's dressing. I didn't want to order a drink because I didn't want to have to do that impaired. However, I am getting pretty good at it!
OK, I have a favor to ask of you folks. When I post things on my Destination D TR, I have more than my normal complement of folks reading along. I may say some things like, "I was lucky and have this friend who was able to get me CL privledges" or "we went to the lounge". Please do not comment over there like "You're club member, of course you can! Or things like that to "out" me". That's all I need on the DL boards is for people to start hounding me for reservations!

I'm going to post this on my PTR as well. But I do have to share with you guys the amazing experience we had at check in.
I'm not sure if some of you know, but this whole "upgrade" was a huge fiasco, long time members are pissed, the restaurant is empty now because they changed the rules with the passes, and now regular folks can actually "buy" their way into a reservation, thus making the long time members even more pissed. So I think they are trying to figure out "free" ways that they can make us happy again.
We pulled up to the guard shack at the GCH and gave MY name for the reservation, not FRAN's name, and I sort of heard the gal get on her radio and explain that there was a VIP in a Red "garbled part of conversation". Part of me thought, are they talking about us? Nah, there must be someone behind us, but there wasn't. Once we got unloaded and went to check in the guy who waits at the sign to guide the person to next registration CM asked my name. I told him and he asked us if we could wait "over there" and pointed. Fran was getting a little peeved and when the next people in line asked if we'd been helped, we told them "no" and a CM was waving us over to check in.
So Fran whips out her card, and starts asking if we can get access to the CL and all of a sudden a guy in a suit comes up behind us and asks us to come with him. He says, "your room is ready and I just want to check it and make sure that everything is up to standards and we can take care of all of this in the room." What??????????????
So we go to the room and housekeeping is just about done. Fran calls for the bags on the phone in the elevator room. While I'm signing the paperwork they bring the bags up, they are bending over backwards to make sure that we are happy, constantly asking if there is anything else they can do for us. Room ready at 1PM, we even have a view of Paradise Pier!!! (3rd floor, but I'll take it!) I guess the squeaky wheels are paving the way for some of us! I have to relate this story to the members group on FB, but I was astounded at the service they were giving us
