Just got my Neutral Density 0.6 filter today. PiO, you said that you use your ND filter all the time with your lens even during the daytime?
Sure sounds crazy at CL....
you just mentioned not mentioning places that are limited, I have no clue about such places. That's why I was laughing. I wouldn't know where to look up anything.Hope your day was fun!
Another area to check is maybe renting points from a DVC member then you'll get the transportation from the airport to the resort if you need it. A studio would probably run around $140 per night S-Th, $170 F/S, no additional taxes.
Ahhhhh, it's a new lounge included in our membership only a few people can get into it and it is not heavily advertised due to the fact that only certain people can get in. Since you don't go to DL, it doesn't really matter.
You may want to talk to this DVC member. I'm already renting Sharon some points and since we won't be taking Arline on a trip we may have a lot more available miles. I have to look at things and figure it out.
BTW the lounge was awesome, we had it all to ourselves since all the members on property were at the 45th anniversary event tonight. We're going tomorrow. I'll hit the lounge beforehand tomorrow and hang out with everyone who's attending, then get Fran back at the room and go to the event.
Sorry about the procedure Bret, doesn't sound fun.
So Matt it sounds like i didn't need a 5:45AM wake up call. We'll go up to the club level and get breakfast, they start serving at 6AM. Sounds like we can get up there around 6:30 and then go in the park. I don't care to ride LFT or MJJ, so just 3-4 times on RSR will be fine. I can get up to 6 instant FP per day so if i get 2 IFP and one FP, if i get some for Fran too we will still be under it's allotment.

When do we need to think about booking? I seem to be firming up dates for around the 2nd October or so. If we need to book soon, I need to have a more serious look at the timeframes.
I can start booking at 11 months, but there is some leeway. Studios probably go faster than a one bedroom, but it's not til November that I can even book. We need to figure out if we want to be in separate areas or if we want adjoining rooms. Not that we need to open the pass thru but whether we want separation or to be nearby. I think we would mostly do our separate things, since you folks are commando and Fran and I are lucky to get out of the room before a park opens, mostly we don't.
I'll talk to DH. But I think that if we have adjoining rooms, it gives us a few more options for space; if we decide to do a dinner???
If I recall correctly, most of the studios are lock-out configured anyway. So, it makes no difference if we have one adjoining or if we are in separate areas. And they are fairly sound-proof rooms at the BCV.
Check with Fran. And if either DH or Fran objects, it will be cool with me either way.
I was thinking it would be nice to be close. That way if you and I were prepping for our cookout day, your DH and son could br close by or when they come back they can just pop their heads in. We can lock the door when we are not hanging out together. It could also make our rooms a gathering place for taking off for group events like the fireworks cruise and the potential Raglan Road dinner, which looks like it might be the first time I get there.
Its hard to imagine we started planning this more than a year ago. I thought it would take forever to just start booking, and now I get to do it. I am so excited.![]()
It depends on the day. If it is a very bright day, I keep the ND filter on and meter accordingly.
If it is a cloudy day and I can still meter without having to go below about 1/60 sec, then I keep it on.
Congrats on the new filter!
Bret, Matt - I know it is a long way out for you two but I sure hope you keep note of the dates and that you can make it.
