The Old Spaghetti Factory

It's ok.

But, I am very picky when it comes to Italian food. I am used to my family's sauce recipe, and find it hard for others to compare!

I ate there about 3 years ago and got sick after eating thier alfredo sauce.

So I would have to say-it wasn't very good.

Oh how it brings up childhood memories of Detroit! I liked it as a kid, but went to one in Des Moines as an adult and the food was not as good as I remembered, but I think you pay for ambiance.

A new one just opened up near my house. We have one downtown too, that I haven't been to in probably 20 years. I thought it was pretty good, for a family restaurant. It definitely wasn't "superb" italian food.

The garlic bread was really good. I didn't really like the sauce on my spaghetti, but it was still edible. My DH had the lasagna which was very good. And we had the spumoni for dessert which was also very good. Bottom line: good place to take the kids, but for a nice Italian dinner, go somewhere else.

I have grown up with Italian food - I am Italian - and don't think that Spag Fac is worth a darn thing. We call it something mean here, and it would get bleeped out so I'm not bothering...

I'm sorry but their sauce is awful (all of them), they don't know how to cook pasta, and it is always noiser than WDW in the busiest part of summer. I would rather spend the same amount on ingredients, take the four hours and all day simmering, and make our family recipe (which is in a huge pot and lasts for weeks).

I had eatten there once, and thought that the marinara sauce didn't have much taste and was to watery.

Another thumbs down here. We went to one while on vacation once and were really looking forward to it. It was extremely disappointing and I would never go back again.

I like it and have fond memories of going there when I was a child. Lately, the food hasn't been as good as I remember it, but the ambience is great and the prices are reasonable.
