:blush:This is the first time that I've posted a report of any kind on here, so I hope I've put it in the right place and am doing it right. Here it goes:
Cast:
Nina (me) age 17, loves all things Disney, especially the sidekicks.
Jane age 19 (will be 20 when we go) is not as Disney - crazy as me but very enthusiastic and ready to be converted entirely *evil chuckle*

Date: We will be in the parks for one day on December 18th.

Background: For my 18th birthday, I told my parents that I would really love to go to Disneyland with a friend. Since then (summer) we've been trawling the internet and travel agents to find a not -too - expensive deal. Eventually we stumbled upon Coach Innovations http://www.coachinnovations.co.uk/disneyland_paris-eurodisney_new_years_eve-_disneyland.htm
where they do a one day in Paris followed by one day in Disneyland coach trip for - wait for it - only 129 pounds each! The only problem is that after enquiring, they don't do trips in February (when my birthday is). We decided to wait and see and look for other deals.
However, when I checked their website again about two weeks ago, I found out that they had December trips:idea: after much talking and an agonising two weeks waiting to see if Jane could get the time off work (she texted today saying that she got it :cheer2:) we have booked it and we're foing! Woooo! :cloud9:

Itinerary:
Day 1: Meet the coach at London Victoria Coach Station at 10pm. Then, we go to Dover to get the ferry, arriving in Calais very, very early. Drive to Paris arriving (hopefully) at around 9am.

Day 2: Spend the day in Paris with either a guided tour costing only 6 pounds or doing your own thing (we'll be taking the tour). In the afternoon we have the options of going up the Eiffel Tower, taking a riverboat ride on the river Seine or just doing our own thing. At 3pm the coach will collect us and take us to our hotel where we'll spend one night.

Day 3: We have breakfast at the hotel (included in cost) and head for the parks at 10am. We'll be staying there until 10pm where we'll go the same way back.

Day 4: We'll arrive back in the UK early in the morning.

Rides/Shows I really want to do:
Big Thunder Mountain
Phantom Manor
Indianna Jones
Its a Small World
Pirates of the Caribbean
Tower of Terror
Crush
RC Racer
Once Upon a Dream Parade
Stars in Cars
Tree and Castle Lighting
Mickey's Winter Wonderland

What do you think? I haven't been to DLRP since I was 10 and don't remember that much about it. Any comments or reccommendations appreciated as I'm not used to planning - this is my first holiday without parents/teachers so I'm a little nervous.
P.S. If you wonder why I haven't mentioned any character meetings it's because I have a phobia of the fur ones.

Sounds like a great thing to do for your birthday!!:woohoo:

Have a great time planning your trip!:wizard::banana::wizard::surfweb::wizard:

If you like thrill rides Space Mountain and Rock in Roller Coaster are some big coasters you might want to do.

Congrats!
I'd also not miss Cinemagique and Animagique for sure! Also, Fantillision will be on whilst you're there and if you can (depending on your coach) you should try to catch that too. :goodvibes

I went to Florida for my 18th birthday, I saved so hard for that trip and it was totally worth it. Much better than having a party like everyone else. ;)

Congrats, have a great trip!
For my 18th my mum and I spent 4 days in Paris including a DLP day :goodvibes
And for my 21st my sister and I went to DLP for 5 days....never even made it to Paris!
You will have an amazing time, sounds like a great deal :woohoo:

LoodlesNoodles: I'll add them to my list - I remember Animagique from our 2003 trip. Yeah, I thought it would be better than a party too - I'm not a party person really.
loladelorean: Wow! I bet you had a great time on both birthdays! Thanks and have fun on your trip.

Wow! Its so close now! I'm sooooo excited, but also stressed about getting all of my college work done by christmas.

Well, I've some bad news about the trip. The coach company cancelled it. Apparently because of 'bad weather forecast' :confused3 Anyway, I have cried quite a bit and Jane is equally gutted. :sad1:
There is kind of a silver lining; they've offered us another trip that is the same but over new years. We decided to choose another one that they offer called 'New Years Express' which goes like this: Depart on the 30th December, spend 31st in Disneyland until it closes and then come home. Which is good, but my friend worked so hard to get the time off before and now she's going to have to do it all again. My mum says she'll come with me if Jane can't, or we can have a refund. I chose to have her come with me.
Still, fingers crossed that Jane can come. I need some serious :wizard:

Oh Noooooo!! Sorry to hear your trip was canceled.:sad1::headache::sad2: Hugs - and I hope everything works out for your New Year's trip - New Years Eve has got to be a special time to go - wishing you lots of pixie dust.:wizard::wizard::wizard:

Thanks, I'm crossing everything I can that my friend can get the time off. I love my mum and I know we'll have a great time, but this was supposed to be my first 'big girl' trip without parental supervision. Plus she doesn't really like any of the bigger rides.

Oh no....and your were so excited. I hope your friend can get the time off to go on the rescheduled date - that should be fun to be there in Disney at midnight! Will keep fingers & toes crossed for you!

I know haven't posted for ages, I just wanted to say that Jane did get time off work and the trip is still going ahead 100%. We leave tommorrow night to get the coach that will take us there. I can't wait!:dance3: :cloud9:

Have a fantastic time :goodvibes

"Spend the day in Paris with either a guided tour costing only 6 pounds or doing your own thing". Wow, that's good value....do you have a link for this tour?
