What I love about Fall.........

The cooler temperatures
The leaves changing colors
Football games
Meals in the slow cooker

I don't get it here for a long long time...

But I love the smell of fall--and don't know how to describe it...probably the smell of the changing leaves or something...but I just LOVE that smell.

You would not know it is Fall here in S. Jersey! 82 degree's here and very humid again! Wow Sept. was also very hot & Humid for this time of year! Aww, we just might have some relief in site! Rain is suppose to come in tonight and then cooler temps by Sunday! However I will believe it when I see it!

Fall is my favortie time of year! We are still running our AC!

What I don't like is the shorter days and that winter is right around the corner!

I grew up in Arizona so I never knew what fall was until I moved to Colorado.

Now Fall is my favorite time of year.

leaves changing colors
crisp early evenings and early mornings
wearing sweaters
not needing a heavy winter coat yet
the first snow fall that is gone in a few hours

I love the pumpkins, halloween, my birthday, our aniversary, Thanksgiving.

The deep reds and bright orange of New England.
Raking, raking leaves with my DH in our big backyard with 100 year old maple trees.
My sons coming home from college.
Indian corn decorations and colorful mum's on my front porch.
Yankee candles on my kitchen table...Harvest, Pumpkin pie, Spiced Pumpkin.
Planning the Thanksgiving day menu.
Getting out the flannel sheets.
Feeling melancholy about another season ending, dying, but also feeling hopeful planting crocus bulbs and knowing Spring will come soon, very soon.

I love all the colors, the reds and golds of the leaves and the deep blue of the sky. I like snuggling under a blanket and reading a book.
