The Official VILLAS at DISNEYLAND HOTEL (Discovery Tower) Owners and Fans Info Thread

I love Tiana.
Ok, but was it a popular enough movie to get a MAJOR attraction, a restaurant, a store, a hat stand, half of Pooh corner, AND every single 1 bedroom in the new Villas tower? And…. does it need to be the only life size face character that looks at you in a one bedroom living room?

I love that you had a photo to showcase how large it is.

Okay so I had no idea there were Fantasia themed rooms. I seem to always get a princess room.

I must stay in a Fantasia room. Which ones are they?

Guys... I stayed in a Fantasia room. How did I not remember that? I guess I need the IP to slap me in the face to register. This still speaks to my love for Boardwalk and how the theming just really got me

Agreed…. especially with the life sized picture of Tiana starting at me in the living room..

Disneyland definitely went through a period where some executives were trying to jam Tiana into every nook and cranny they could….

A store, a restaurant, a giant attraction, another hat store, part of Pooh Corner, Disneyland Villas rooms…. it is a LOT….
She also has one of the restaurants on dcl Wonder but to me that makes more sense than the attraction or the DL villa rooms..

I got the feeling that people were implying I took a red pill because I felt Disney overdid Tiana in response to the BLM protests.

No…. there is ACTUALLY a life size portrait of a face character staring at my kids as they sleep in the living room! I don’t care what gender, skin color, body shape, etc it is… IMO it’s just weird…. Everything else about the room theming is really nice.

I like the movie. I just think they should have stuck to the classics….

Yeah I would still not love it if were a Sleeping Beauty portrait (sleeping or not). Trying to decide if I would've loved it as Sorcerer Mickey, as opposed to the giant art with a tiny Sorcerer Mickey up top.

I wish they had just done artwork like they ended up doing at the refurbished BLT rooms. I feel like it would have fit with the theme of the Disneyland Hotel much better.

Somehow the huge portrait doesn’t weird me out that much, but I’d have to see it in person. It isn’t nearly as unnerving as the Halloween skeleton my kids dressed up and put in a chair in the house; I’m constantly walking by thinking that’s a person.😜

I like Tiana because I like what a go getter she is; a lot of the princesses in older movies are pining away after princes and I appreciate the more modern storyline of Princess and the Frog, plus I love New Orleans. Frozen also has some of these same aspects but the hand drawn styles are my favorite. Ariel was my favorite princess as a child, but the storyline hasn’t aged well IMO. I identify with King Triton a lot more now as a parent.🤣

As a redhead, Ariel was always my favorite as well. I still feel an "allegiance" to her, in a way. But I think I'd say Merida is my favorite now. I wish she got more love in the parks!
