Have they ever done the dance "La Cueca?" It is pronounced "La Kwayka." It is from Chile.

Not to my knowledge.


And, I think the GROUP DANCE is Disco, not the 'real' dance(s). The only time Disco was performed in the past was for free-style, in the end competitions. (As far as I remember anyway)

My local 11:00 news did a teaser about someone quitting. I went onto the message board for Dancing w/The Stars on abc.com and it says that Sara Evans has quit the show. I don't know how accurrate the info is, but if it is true I wonder if they will give Willa her spot.

ETA: I thought I checked the thread before I posted but I must have went on the other thread, I guess the news is already old

Hmmm, I wonder where this leaves the show. Does that mean no one will be voted out this week OR will the show end a week early. I'm not totally surprised about Sara gettinga divorce if its true because they don't even mention or show her dh on the show like they do with the other stars. I can see her not wanting to show her kids, but the dh surprised me.

Maybe she figured it was time for her to go too & figured her fans would just keep voting her back each week.

I am surprised about her divorce - they seemed to have a strong marriage (though you never know, I guess). My first thought was that she was in love with her dancing partner, that seems to be the way it goes these days. But it doesn't look like that.

If her H wasn't mentioned, I'd have figured it was a political thing (though you'd think he'd be there to support her some).

THANK GOD Sara is off the show. I don't give a hoot as to why she's off (voted off vs. quitting), as long as she is gone. I hope they bring willa back, but I doubt they will. I personally think Sara should have quitted on elimination night to spare any one else from getting the boot...that is just so wrong.

When I saw the teaser running on the news ticker last night I was so happy that Sara was quitting and immediately hoped they would bring back Willa - who can actually dance. (Don't get me wrong, I love Sara Evans the singer and have gone to see her in concert). Then this morning I heard the whole story...and I am very sad for her and her children.

It will be interesting to see what the producers decide to do now.

I am so happy that Sara is gone. I thought her cowgirl routine was cute a couple of weeks ago, but after that embarrassing Phantom of the Opera routine, and then last week's flat performance...argh.

It would be great if Willa can take her place! She was improving so much week to week.

LOS ANGELES - Country singer Sara Evans on Thursday announced she was filing for divorce and quitting the "Dancing With the Stars" television competition.

Evans filed for divorce from Craig Schelske in Williamson County, Tenn., where she lives, according to a statement issued by Allen Brown, her representative at Sony BMG Music Entertainment.

"Recent events that shed light on the status of her marriage prompted Ms. Evans to make the filing," Brown said in the statement. He declined to elaborate.

The couple were married in 1993 and have three children.

Evans decided she needed to leave the TV show "to give her family her full attention at this difficult time," Brown said.

She was among 11 celebrities who paired with professional dancers to compete on the third season of the popular ABC reality series.

"Ms. Evans hopes that her fans and TV viewers who've supported her in recent weeks and throughout her music career will respect and understand her need for privacy in the face of these recent events," Brown said.

Evans, 35, was recently nominated for female vocalist of the year honors by the Country Music Association. The Missouri native made her recording debut in 1997 and her 2000 album "Born To Fly" went double-platinum.

I was so shocked to see Willa go. She was improving so much week to week & better than Sara, in my opinion. I was rooting for Sara to go.

Having said that. Best of luck to her & her family - divorces are so tough on everyone involved.

I really think Sara would have gone far. I am sorry she had to quit. I totally understand her reasons. I might do the same thing.

She wasn't THAT good, but she was improving. And had a huge fan base.

i used to love this show
but its gotten dumb springer is last years master P
the audience should vote but voting off people like fox and willa and to have sara and jerry there is stupid
thats why all you hurley fans freaked after teh 1st season
