**the Official Project Runway Thread -TONIGHT!!!!***

I saw pictures of the collections on Tom and Lorenzo's blog:

http://projectrungay.blogspot.com/

These guys are very entertaining. At the bottom of the home page they have indexes for links. Under Project Runway, there is a drop-down box called "Finale Collections". You can then select Season 7 Finale Collections.

Yeah, who would have guessed Emilio and Seth Aaron would make it? ;)

I saw the Christian Siriano show, too. I really liked it. It was really interesting and I thought a lot of his clothes were very cute. (And I wasn't a Christian fanatic when he was actually on PR.)
That's pretty cool that they have other "decoy"designers. After viewing Jonathon's collection I am VERY happy he didn't make it to the final three. What a train wreck :scared1:!

You just has to post that didn't you. I am trying hard not to click on that link.:lmao:

Yeah, Jonathan's collection was just awful! And I really liked him on the show. There were a couple of looks during the season that I really didn't like - the romper, for example. And then he put a couple of rompers, or *really* short shorts in his final collection, too. And the handerchiefs as a bodice look? I could just imagine Nina's angst after watching that collection go down the runway: "You assault my eyes with this travesty, and then I don't even get to rip into you for it?" :headache:

I liked Emilio's dress last night, too. I wasn't a fan of the black tulle with white polka dots, though. It was my favorite look from him all season. There really isn't much else that I've seen from him that I did like.

No kidding, I'm pretty sure anyone who wore any of those designs would end up on someone's what were they thinking blog

I didn't want to look at the finalists collections but I couldn't resist, and if you don't want to spoil the surprise don't because now I'm pretty sure who the winner will be. I had an idea but I just totally ruined the last show for myself :headache:

Robin, thanks for the direct link.

OK, can someone explain the decoy designers.

Exactly how many PR designers got money for a collection?

Did Johnathon show at Bryant Park as well? What about Maya?

I mean who is deciding the decoy's. I am just wondering if Maya would have been able to do a collection if she had not dropped out, you know?

I don't know who the winner will be. I thought that one designer had a really great collection but one of the bloggers at that website made a comment that they thought another designer's collection was the best one EVER. So, I guess it's just opinion after all. Their opinion of who should win in in Ben's "Ripping the Collections" so you may not want to read that one if you don't want to know what other people think.

ETA: The Decoy designers are there because the show is taped WAY before the show is aired. If only the finalists showed their collections then we would know the final three before the end of the show.

Janeane was the earliest eliminated contestant who got to make a decoy collection. Maya would definitely have been able to do a collection.

I missed the first 15 minutes last night, so I didn't see the home visits with Seth Aaron and Emilio. Maybe I'll catch it when they replay it tonight. Mila looked so much better when she was well rested. I've never really gotten the point of sleep-depriving the contestants. I doubt that it really makes the show more interesting and I'm sure that it results in lower quality designs eventually. Over the last few episodes, I've grown to like Mila more. Maybe once Maya left, and they had only one woman, they figured they'd better stop giving her such a mean edit.

I'm not sorry to see Jay go. At least when Tim asked Mila about the head-to-head competition, she was diplomatic. When Tim asked Jay about it, Jay was just obnoxious. Maybe he was trying to use the power of positive thinking, and figured if he just said that he would surely win, then it would be true. To me, he came across as arrogant and condescending.

I wonder if Lorena is being paid a bonus by the producers to be such a pot-stirrer. She was out of line. Cerri didn't actually call her pathetic. She called her actions pathetic. And Cerri's talking heads were about the most entertaining part of Models of the Runway. I've heard enough from Lorena.

I agree about Lorena. She was the one who gave the Brandise/Brittany pot a couple of huge stirs on the last MotR and called Brandise out in front of everyone at dinner. That being said, Brandise was on my last nerve last night. She keeps on going on about how she's 31 and not 20 ... well ACT LIKE IT! Stop pouting, snarking and back-biting and rise above the drama. I know that the producers ask the women questions to lead them into saying things, but obviously the show had already been aired for a while when they filmed the last episode and they knew the producer's game by that time.

You are right robin, they know the "game" and know that conflict means face time on TV.
I think that is the bottom line.

Right ... but somewhere there is a person watching who is responsible for hiring models for their next show. Would you hire the snarky model for your designer who will generate drama behind the scenes or one that is calm and serene? My guess is that Brandise will lose more than one job when her picture comes up as a possibility and the casting person remembers how much of a witch she was ... or they will remember she is OLD :lmao:.

I gotta say, I never liked Mila or her designs. They are hideous, one note and super fuddy duddy. No woman under 50 wants to wear those bulky things or those weird capes. AND, was it my imagination of did she say in her interview last night that she couldn't lose to Jay..."that little ******"? I swore she mouthed the derogatory word for a homosexual though it could have been the f-bomb. Either way, SO classless.

I thought Jay's stuff was terrific.

I am rooting for Seth Aaron. He's awesome. Plus I am so over Emilio;s attitude.

Now that you mention it, she did say something like that. I didn't catch what the bleeped word was either. So not entirely diplomatic, but moreso than Jay.

Seth Aaron has been on the top of my list of designers since early in the season. And Emilio has been on the bottom. I hope he gets to eat a good dose of crow in the end.

Next week's Models of the Runway show will be a reunion show for the entire cast. That should be interesting. Holly gets to call Emilio out for ditching her. And Nina asks Maya the true reason that she left.

I didn't watch all of the judging last night, but from what I saw, Nina seemed downright nice. I loved it. I'd rather see more of that during the regular season. Maybe it's just that the designers were actually able to make good fashion since they had plenty of time and rest, as opposed to the crap they crank out during the challenges.

.

It'll be interesting to hear what she says. I was watching some of the extended judging online, and one of the judges said that he liked her designs but that he felt she hadn't really found herself yet as a designer. Her designs were always reminicent of another designer, and that kind of thing would kill your shot at a big time career in that industry. I don't remember exactly how it was worded, but that was the jist of it. She left right after that -- I think. Makes me wonder if she took those words to heart, and decided to leave before she would have to put out a collection that reminded everyone of someone else and possibly damaging her career before it even really got started.

Then again..... I could be completely WRONG. LOL!!!

As for all the other drama..... none of it really interests me. I don't care who likes who or dropped whom, etc.

I will say, though, that I am so tired of Emilio. Ugh!!!! Get over yourself already.

Excuse me? I missed it last week, but what's with Michael knowing ongepachked and Heidi not knowing it? German and Yiddish are VERY closely related!

Uh, was that Seth Aaron - or one of the clowns from the circus? What was he wearing? And what did he do to his hair???

___ better not win!! I've never been so bored in my life! I thought there was something wrong with my TV - that maybe it wasn't 'doing' color any more! And I DON'T wanna hear about cohesiveness!
