I missed the first half of the show last night. I'm not sure if that made a difference, but when it came down to the elimination I just didn't care. I think it's more a factor of my getting fed up with the judging. I started watching just in time to see the runway, so I hadn't seen any of the prep work and didn't know what the deal was with the fabric. I saw Emilio's dress and thought "yuck - that's ugly". I liked Seth Aaron's jacket, but hated the pants and the yellow clown tie. Mila's dress was hideous. Anthony's wasn't bad, but it's certainly not cutting-edge fashion.
So the judges are gushing over Emilio's ugly outfit, and he has another win. Whatever. I'm not going to spend any emotion caring about this. And then Anthony is out. Well, it did seem inevitible. I didn't expect him to last this long.
Lifetime's promotions this season have been terribly misleading, so I'm not going to get too worked up about what happens next week. I have been spoiled, by already looking at the Bryant Park collections, and it seems that next week we will finally have some resolution to a looming mystery.
I thought it was really mean of Michael Kors to tell Brandise "as a model, you made it worse" when she lifted the skirt of Mila's monstrosity so that she could actually walk down the runway. So this is Brandise's fault? And they act like it's so scandalous and no such travesty has befallen Project Runway in the past. I seem to recall models holding skirts during Bryant Park shows in the past. (I'm pretty sure at least one of Santino's models had to.)
And Cerri's gone, too. I'll miss her, but I don't think she has a great body for modeling - at least not in clothes that show her legs. She doesn't have the greatest legs.
I was surprised that Valeria stayed. I thought she should go do the DKNY shoot. Seth Aaron looked a bit uncomfortable about the whole thing.
