**the Official Project Runway Thread -TONIGHT!!!!***

Great First show:thumbsup2

I was really impressed with these designers portfolios! Looks like a talented bunch-yeah-that "Ping" is a wack-a-doodle!:lmao:

Question-I've never watched the Models show-too late. Do they show re-runs?

That was a good show. I actually watched most of it instead of skipping thru to the end.

Ping is going to be going home next week, don't you think? Or maybe she wins, what do I know?:lmao:

Winner was picked appropriately. Although I loved the other "look" better, the fabric choice was not the best. Not horrible, just not stunning if that makes sense.

I was surprised at who went home. Did NOT expect that. Looks like they have a real line up this season.

And as far as "Models of the Runway" that show looks like it is going to be a HOT MESS.:rotfl:

I wasn't, her dress looked like something I made back in Home-Ec back in the late 80's :scared1:

Really? All the stuff looked weird to me.:lmao:

I thought there were a few that looked normal, like the designer who won and Seth Allen (is that is name). They weren't things I could pull off but I could see them on the young 20 somethings. The rest were uuuggg
While I think Pings was awful, I could see why the judges would like it. It wasn't typical like all the others, and it definitely stood out. I don't think she will last though, those judges won't want to see something like that every week. Of course what do I know, I wear jeans, hoodies and UGGs all the time :rotfl:

I agree.:lmao:

Ping has to be going home next week, don't you think? She is just too out there.

I think the realized that they need designers WHO CAN SEW. And actually make a piece of clothing instead of just drawing what they want on a piece of paper. Christiane didn't have a horrible dress, but the worst thing they said was that the hem was all wrong.

ITA that Ping needs to go home already. I could have made the outfit she made. I couldn't believe she told Tim that she couldn't use a dress form, so she swagged the fabric on herself? Wow.

I'm so glad there's an alternative to Launch My Line. Ick, what a horrible show.

I love PR! I love that it's back in NYC! I loved the first challenge! I loved the winning dress! Hopefully, this is the start of a wonderful season.

One thing I must say about the auf'd designer... she was VERY pretty.

So are you watching that train wreck as well?
I have to keep watching it just to see the drama team. You know, the Miami vice + gaudy man team.:lmao:

Nope. I gave up on it. I just need to remove it from my DVRs presets. Otherwise, I delete it on Thursday morning without watching.

I watched the premiere, as well as the All-Stars challenge!
Agreed with who went home, but absolutely cannot believe they liked Ping's outfit! It literally looked like she just threw fabric on the model. However, DBF did say, before any of the judges spoke "Nicole Ritchie's probably going to like it because all she likes are hideous baggy clothes." True story.
Personally, the one outfit I'd wear is Janine's white skirt/black top combo. Thought it was very classy. Though I'd never wear it, I thought Seth Aaron's punk dress was cute and know plenty of younger girls who'd love it. I ADORED the winning dress. Such nice colors. I thought he was smart to show off his technical skills early in the game-- he just has to make sure he continues to show off such skills.
I thought the All Stars challenge was fun. I LOVED Daniel Vosovic and Santino in their season, and was VERY angry when Chloe won. I was so happy to see Daniel V get his vindication!

I finally saw PR and I also agreed with who won and who went home. I loved the winning look, he really made a good decision to show his technical skills. Pair that dress with the losing one and Holy Smokes!

Looks like Models is going to have some drama, I;lll be watching.

I also watch Launch my Line. I don't know why I am still watching it but now I want to see who wins.

I don't watch the show but a while ago I saw in the paper that one of the contestants went to my high school!

Okay I don't want to post any spoilers since you all on the west coast haven't seen anthing but I have to ask, WHY??????????? I know you all know what I'm talking about

Actually, I'm half-watching it for the third time - and I'm not sure what you mean? Now, granted, I have an old analog TV (with a cable box) that I should've gotten rid of years ago, so I admit the picture isn't great - but if you're referring to who won, well, yeah, I can see how that was different and interesting enough to win. If you're talking about something else, well... a couple of tips: first, it's now late enough that the west coast has seen tonight's episode; or if you're still worried about spoilers, highlight the 'controversial' text and change the color to white :teeth:

WOW. Really great outfits. When you compare Pamela's look to Ari's clueless "egg" outfit from last season, and think that both of these designers got cut in the second episode, these designers are WAY better than season 6. And they used burlap! :scared1: Crazy good.

And Ping has to go. Now. Immediately. Bye bye. C-Ya.

I agree, PIng is pitiful. It is painful to watch her because she pours her heart into it so. I think they will keep her around but she is way out of her element.

I also was impressed with 99% of the dresses. This group is much better at sewing and finishing their designs than last season.

Once the show has aired, I don't consider it a spoiler. Those that haven't watched the show shouldn't open this tread if they don't want to "know". Sometimes I tape and watch later. I don't read this until after I've watched. A spoiler is something that is found from another source other that the show or commercials.

Ping should have gone home. Besides showing the models butt, it was just plain weird and ugly. I knew they wouldn't send her home, I knew they wouldn't send Jesus home either. They sent the girl home because she didn't have as much "personality" as the others. JMHO, but from worst up was Ping, Jesus, then the girl. (Don't remember her name, and that's why she went home.)

After last season, it's become so blanent that this show is not about finding the best designer, it's about keeping the fan fav/ones with most personality around the longest. It was subtle in prior seasons, not it is so obvious.
