I think we have the same friend/neighbor justhat.
This woman GRIPED how STARVING her daughter was as a baby and proceeded to tell me how she started weaning her off formula at 8 or 9 months and starting her on milk, not caring that the doctor said it was a bad idea cause formula was costing her too much money (says the woman with the hugest TV I have ever seen in my life, nice cars, nice play system in the yard, etc). And, huh, her daughter gets severe eczema problems since she was a baby....wonder if it's cause she started certain foods WAY too early?
She's the type of woman to just be a busy-body complainer and I HATE IT. We were at the park with the third woman and her children; this woman is the sweetest gal, a little flaky, but so nice. Again, busy-body so nice to her face, oh what great friends they are, etc., but then bad mouths her non stop to me when she's not around. I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THAT.
She asks my advice about pregnancy, kids, etc since I have had 3 (she's 20 weeks preggo with #2) and she knows my mom is a former L and D RN Manager, but then proceeds to chuck my advice out the window or act like I have no clue.
Ugh. Enough of my own griping here. I could go on for days about her. She is a normal enough person but she appalls me almost every time we have a conversation. I think, to be honest, I intimidate her. I am a strong woman who is centered in my own opinions. I don't think she has this...her front is simply being a bi*ch but she has no foundation so to speak. I know my college education intimidates her- she even said something once about 'not needing college to get ahead.' I said, sure, plenty of people make great money and are smart without going to college, but you don't have to belittle those that do go.
My biggest gripe---(sorry, have to keep going, lol) is she has a 12 year old step son, who seems like a pretty normal kid, and she just is seething with anger about him all the time. It really bothers me and I try to tell her to lighten up with him but it's like her daughter is the golden child and he's just a pain in the a** who needs to go away. It makes me sick for the poor kid. He's just 12- not perfect, but like I said, seems like a pretty decent kid.
