OMG- lissawynn- WTG on your Gymboree shopping! I would have died at the woman spending $800. I've never done that. Not all at once anyway. :rotfl: Seriously, I think the most I have spent is about $250 at one time. Anyway, that's AWESOME you found so much for Annabel- I LOVE THEIR CLEARANCE, and then with another 30% off it's just a deal you cannot pass up. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Really quick- anyone need a Pampers code? I have one on a small pack of Cruisers I will not be using. It expires next month!

Joats- I swear to God, if Molly were getting her Elmo from anyone else than my MIL, I would send it to you. But I know she would be highly offended it I sold it to someone else.... :confused3 If I see any, I will grab one for you, I promise!

The boys went off to Chucks....I'm so excited I didn't have to go! I've done 3 birthday parties on my own the last two years without DH....he gets to do it this year! :lmao: But he only had 5 boys to take care of; when I did Chuck 2 years ago for Sam, 12 kids showed up along with all of their parents. It was so exhausting!

Oh, and here is a link for what my mom and I worked on for GLT yesterday- http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b18/disnychck/?action=view&current=halloween043.jpg hope it works as it's in my photobucket acct....I just didn't want to post the pic and spoil it for her. So don't peek Allison! ;) And as far as gifts for her, several more people have PMed me with what they got- all I can say is, you gals are awesome. I would say they don't need any more PJs, so if you haven't bought yet, don't do that. I'm thinking at this point, they are probably pretty set with toys I think, except for maybe Laine, so perhaps a gift card to Target or Walmart would be good?

And Allison- I asked DH and my Dad about your question with the car- I guess your dad just has to sign some paper- but the car/title can still be in his name...they said it's done all the time. I'm not sure which paper they are talking about though- I would need to reask, but they said it wouldn't be a problem at all for the owner of the car to live out of state.

joats - I also had a TMX in my shopping cart and it crashed. I will definitely keep my eye out for you. My 2 friends got them at TRU this morning. I didn't go there because I thought there was no way they would have any. Oh well! I was happy with my Best Buy bargains.

lissawynn - I guess that woman was trying to make the most out of her discount! My goodness! I'm glad you got great bargains for Annabel. I'm sure it must be fun to shop for a girl. I got some things online for Aidan and Alex this morning. I love their overalls for Aidan. I got the airplane ones with the matching shirt and socks.

I feel like the walking dead. I am so darn tired from hosting Thanksgiving and getting up early.

nucpharm- Beautiful family photo. I found out this morning that there is a Mardel store near my in-laws. My DH had gone out BF shopping early this morning, so I gave him a call to go and get one of those LP sets. They were already sold out. :sad1: Glad you got one.

Robin- Cute shirts. I saw that the Pampers promotion has been extended past 12/31.

lissawynn- I missed Grey's. What happened?

joats & DisKim- Hope you find an Elmo.

zalansky- I did have the skirt in my cart, but I got so fed up w/ the Gymbo website that I ended up not ordering anything.

icebrat- Welcome! I also want to say that what you are doing is great! I did find some 2T stuff, but I really wanted some of the older line sale items, and they only had smaller sizes or started to sell out.

Hillbeans- Jenna loves playing with her new Little People.

fabumouse- Happy Christmas Music Day to you! Good luck with your training.

SL- Hope Lucas feels better soon.

TTFN!

I'm at my wit's end with Lucas. I just don't know what to do. He did the same thing again today as he did last night with the screaming and wheezing and carrying on and not wanting to nap. DH finally ended up just taking him in the car so he'd fall asleep. Needless to say, I could not take a nap myself and I'm going on a little over 2 hours of sleep.

Joats - I've been looking for an Elmo myself and can't get my hands on one. My sister bought one (or maybe 2, I'm not even sure) for my nephews and tells me this last week. I was a little disappointed that she didn't even ask if I wanted one for Lucas.

Great Black Friday deals everyone. I didn't even make it to shop online.

I meant to say in my earlier post that no one has purchased the Cars DVD if one would like to do that for GLT's kids. I found it very cheap on Overstock.com- I think it was $15? And free shipping this weekend. Just a thought. ;)

SL- how is Lucas feeling now? Maybe it is an ear infection? Sometimes they present themselves in odd ways. I hope he's given you a break.

I'm so bummed/mad. The boy's Play Station 2 isn't working! And Sam just got a new game today. They were playing it, and it went to a white screen, and now with every game it says, "Cannot read disc." ARGH! I emailed Sony and am hoping they can repair it quickly. I just know Sam is getting another game on Sunday and I feel badly he cannot play them for his birthday. I checked my AMEX online- I bought that thing only 3 months ago- almost exactly- 8/25. But I just know if I have to ship it somewhere, it will likely take until Christmas. Anyone have any experience with this? :guilty:

Sam had a nice time with his friends at Chucks. DH said one of the boys literally flew thru his 40 tokens in about 5 minutes. WtH? I think he was just doing those games where you feed your tokens in to see if it bumps down a whole mess of tokens, and then you get tickets. Other than that it was uneventful.

Guess what I got in the mail- a 20% off your purchase flyer from Gymboree! I NEVER get these things! Ever. I was cracking up and I showed it to DH. He rolled his eyes and said ,"Uh-oh." I'm going to wait and see if the new line is cute, or if their Jingle Deals are hot in the next week or two.I will at least use it for some tights and hair doodads for Molly's stocking, as surely they will have another sale between now and Christmas. I just thought that was funny. I also will ask neighbor if there is anything she needs for her 2 year old or her baby that is almost here! Any day! She drove down to Eugene, OR today (about 2+ hours south of here) to visit with her family and I thought she was nuts. Her due date is next Saturday. I just was uncomfortable being more than an hour away from my hospital when I got to 37 weeks or so. Let alone sitting in the car for more than 30-45 minutes. They just bought a minivan so I've been calling her the Minivan Momma. :teeth: I'm jealous of her cargo space, but I still like my Subaru.

FF- How is Kona feeling now?

GLT- when do you leave Ohio? Are you driving back by yourself with the kiddoes? I am still thinking and praying for you, and hope you come home to a peaceful home and situation in Wisconsin.

Joats- is Jace still t-rex crabby?

Hi Hillary! Hope you are having a great time in PA.

Fab- Happy Christmas Music day! I've been playing the Wiggles Christmas music in the car for a few days now, on and off anyway. I also like my Harry Connick ones. Good for you for training for the half marathon! :cheer2: I did my walk off the fat workout again today- my legs are a lot stronger- they were getting jellyish, which I hate. I still have my gut though, but I think, THINK, it's starting to shrink ever so slightly. :thumbsup2 I haven't weighed myself since that 6 lb drop....I should weigh myself tomorrow morning and MAYBE another pound or so will have eeked off. I didn't pig out yesterday, so maybe. I feel motivated now that I am at the 25-30 pound mark to lose, where as before it was 40-45 pounds to lose.

J&D- sorry online Gymbo didn't work out for you. 2T can be hard to find with the sale stuff. That's probably why lissawynn lucked out- the infant (0-12 m)stuff is easy to find on super sale....that's why I went hog wild for my neighbor back in August or whenever that was---all the 6-12 month summer stuff was left because anyone who would need that size for the next summer, wasn't quite shopping yet, if that makes sense. I think my neighbor had JUST found out she was having a girl...anyway, I digress.

Well, DH is out and about. He gets antsy being at home all day. I asked him to go to Circuit City for me to see if that had any 8.99 copies of the Little Mermaid left. He called me to tell me the CC people laughed at him and said they sold out of that by 9am. Oh well...Overstock.com, here I come.

Robin,

We had to send our PS2 back a few months ago and ours was a few years old. We had to pay $45 and we got a refurbished unit back within days. There were certain things we had to do-print out an e-mail, tape it to the console, etc.

Yours is still under warranty, I'm sure. I think the number is 1-800-345-SONY. They will ask you a series of questions-has the unit been dropped, is the serial number on the unit, is the black sticker in back still in tact, etc.

I couldn't be more pleased with their customer service. We got the first one back and it didn't work so we had to send that one back but didn't have to pay the $45 twice. You won't have to pay anything.

:thumbsup2

Hi moms,
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday and my mom behaved herself ;) . Today I made a nice spiral ham and the trimmings since I didn't cook yesterday. I also got a bunch of shopping done online this morning. I cleaned up at Kohl's and Bath and Body Works. My credit card is still smokin' :smooth: .

FF,
I'm so glad to hear Kona is doing much better. How scary for her to have such a high fever :grouphug: .

SL,
The steamy bathroom worked well for ds when he had a croupy cough. I hope he is able to sleep well tonight.

Nucpharm,
That Christmas pic is very nice :thumbsup2 .

Fab,
Love the pictures of the girls princess: .

Diskim,
Sorry the kids were animals yesterday. I can't stand when people don't watch their own kids. How nice that you and Emily got to do BF shopping together.

Robin,
I hope the PS2 can be fixed easily.

Loretta,
I'm so happy your dad is out of ICU. That must be such a relief.

Icebrat,
I wish you all the best in taking in the little girl. It sounds like she is in a very bad enviroment right now :grouphug: .

Joats,
Your description of t-rex Jace was cracking me up :rotfl: . I don't blame you for not wanting to wake him from his nap!

Hi to Tamie, Justhat, Diz, GM, Hillbeans, GLT, and all you wonderful moms  !

Tomorrow I am going in to work for awhile and then it's my reunion  . In a way I'm looking forward to it and in a way I'm dreading it. We'll see how it goes. At least me and my bf who also graduated with me are going together so if nothing else we'll have eachother to gab to ;) . TTYL :wave2: .

Hello again!

So, I went to the mall to hit the Disney Store because I decided that we should take the Xmas pictures of the kids at Disney this year to make our Xmas cards. I thought, what better to dress them in than those cute little outfits they have to the Disney Store? Plus I had my 15% off coupon. So I was able to get the outfits 25% off then my 15% off. Have any of you seen them? They are pretty cute and they fit in with the whole Disney theming so I am excited. I think when we send them out that people will really think we've lost it, especially my family - they think I am nuts for buying the DVC at times, I just have a feeling they think we are a bit too obsessed with Disney! :rotfl:

Robin - we got a thank you letter in todays mail from our guide at DVC, Bobby Corsello - for referring you. ;) He will be the one contacting you if he hasn't already. He is a great guy, we love him!

At TRU this morning we got a Power Wheels Quad ride on for Cameryn for $59. That was the main reason we went there, usually it goes for $79. I am ot even sure she'll be into it but Connor has 3 ride ons and so we thought we should get her one. We also got an Playhut Ariel pop up tent and a Cars one for Connor. We got some Diego toy for Connor and Hot Wheels cars and racetrack. I had already bought him an Imaginex dinosaur, a Fisher Price laptop and art supplies too for him at Kohls a few weeks back....and Cameryn that Fisher Price zebra toy that they sit on. Please forgive me because I have no cle what these toys are called. We have other things from Disney of course that I can't recall but those are the main things. And of course I will wrap my Gymbo finds. Oops forgot we also got Connor the FP digital camera.

Lissa - PLEASE post pics of what you got at Gymbo! I love to see the deals. I went nuts and over bought for Cameryn when she was born and she has ended up being much skinnier than Connor was so she is still in 6-12 month sizes so I may be SOL with alot of the things I bought her in the past.

We also hit Target today and got some Walkie Talkies they had good up to 8 miles for $29 and we got a $5 giftcard.....those are to use at Disneym for us instead of our cell phones. :thumbsup2 And Taget had some GREAT prices on games like Don't Break the Ice and others for $3.99. I am feeling like we did good but also like we spent ALOT today and that makes me nervous.

Hillbeans - we leave on Sunday for WDW and I can't wait. I need a distraction from everything that has been going on and this will be just right. The weather is set to be perfect too so that helps! I will have to bring DH's laptop and post from there.

Vlad - have a great time at the reunion!!

Anyway, I should go. DH took the kids in to the Dr this morning and Connor has bronchitis and Cameryn, an ear infection. Go figure. At least they are on meds now for the WDW trip.

Have a great night moms! :cloud9:

I hadn't thought of an ear infection. He's miserable and so am I. We went to my parents' house to see my cousins and watch Cars and he got so upset that there were "strangers" in the house that he flipped out and we had to leave. If he's still sick tomorrow, we're cancelling our pictures at Target and calling the doctor again.

Strawberry Lemonade,

Do you have any urgent care places you can go if he doesn't feel better tonight? It sure sounds like an ear infection, of course I am no Doctor so don't listen to me. I had no idea that Kona's ear was bothering her until we went to the ER yesterday. Her ears were completely fine the day before.

Sometimes, I wish I was a Doctor so I could diagnose my kids when they are sick.

Hang in there. :grouphug:

lissawynn,

I'd love to see pictures of your Gymbo finds :thumbsup2

Loretta thanks so much!!! We got your package today and I really wish I had my camera ready cause Madison's face when she saw all that stuff would have told you just how much she loved everything. She has not put those Cars toys down all night, literally. She even took one to the shower and had it sit outside the door while she bathed. She used that cup already too (which is just so cute by the way). She was so in awe of that cause "all of [her] friends" are on it. And the Buzz lollipop was just like the one I mentioned the other day that I got her in WDW and then she shattered it on the monorail right after so she was thrilled to see that. Actually I think she liked yours better cause it's Buzz. She also got Mickey stickers, a Mickey book, Bambi underwear, a Buzz pda (which she was amazed with cause Daddy has one) and Henry got an Eeyore and Pooh teething ring. Madison took over that bag too, carrying around her Cars friends. Thanks so much for all that stuff!! Madison totally loves everything and her eyes just got wider and wider each time she unwrapped something.

I haven't read any posts today cause I think I have some kind of virus as I was so sick all day. Very nauseous-I think maybe I ate something kinda bad. Not food poisoning as I had that in January and this is nowhere near as bad, but I didn't move much from the couch or bed all day and only ate some chicken soup. I ate some fish that no one else had so I'm thinking that's it. We went out yesterday for dinner as I didn't think I could cook with Henry and Madison sick, Joey thought it was a waste of time to cook for 3 people, and my mom didn't really want to cook. We went to a buffet at a hotel and nothing tasted weird but clearly something did not agree with me. Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better and can catch up with everything.

Hope everyone had a good day today and got the shopping you wanted accomplished!

Update- the Cars movie is 'taken' for GLT's kids. :thumbsup2 I know a few of you have written me today and yesterday; I'm sorry I haven't done a proper PM about it...I just hate that we can only do 5 PMs per 'batch'. I have noted everyone who has PMed me, and like I said, I think gift cards or winter clothes will be great if you have not bought anything yet.

Yes, lissawynn, SHARE with us what you bought for Annabel. I love, love, LOVE Gymbo's warm weather clothes and want to see what you got her. And what fun you will have 3 Gymbucks for when the spring transition lines come out! I have a feeling I will 'need' to get one more Gymbuck before earnings period ends. I just need at least 2. Esp because we have WDW in the works and maybe the boys will need some swimtrunks or tshirts. Oh, and i got an email that my order I placed last night shipped already! :Pinkbounc

Zalansky- I charged $250 the last 3 days after I swore off the charge card. $140 was DH's fault- he needed some new suits and Overstock.com has the best prices for blazers, etc. We couldn't pass them up. Then I ordered the Gymbo and some more last Christmas gifts from Overstock and I was too lazy to get up and put the debit card number in, as my visa number is already in their system. I get a little panicky about it, but at least now I am DONE Christmas shopping except for trinkets for their stockings and something for DH. He keeps telling me not to get him anything. So, I'm either not going to OR that last paycheck before Christmas I will go to Costco and get those pots and pans. :confused3 It sounds like you and your DH had a ball shopping for the kids, and I think that's great. My DH usually just lets me do all the shopping for the kiddoes- occasionally he will get into it, but rarely. And when he does it's funny- on our last WDW trip in 2003, suddenly he got into the pins. We went into that pin shop in DTD and I swear, he spent $100 on pins for my mom, his mom, his coworkers, himself, Sam....it was so funny!

I'm glad C and C got their meds- they'll be all good for WDW!

Justhat- sorry you are not feeling well... :guilty:

Val- HAVE FUN at your reunion! I have yet to go to one...

Kim- was Emily tired today after her early morning excursion with you?

FF- thank you for your reassurance about the PS2. I hope I hear back from Sony on Monday. I emailed them; I may end up calling too if I don't hear by Monday night.

Hi to all the other moms! Hope everyone is doing well!

Dizagain- thanks for the heads up on Amazon. That looks like the best price for the cruise ship. Now I just have to ask DH if that’s ok and make sure we don’t need anything else from Amazon. Then DSis is done for Christmas.

Nucpharm- The outfit looks like it will fit. I was going to dress her in it today, but I got distracted and forgot to bring it upstairs with me. I did find time to eat another cookie though :) I love your family photo.

Zalansky- Glad your dad is doing better. I haven’t seen the Disney store Christmas outfits, but I’m afraid to look at them, because then I’ll want to buy them for all the kids.

FloridaFam- I hope Kona starts to improve. I can only imagine how miserable this fever must be making her (and you).

Icebrat- OMG there’s so much for a 2 year old to do at WDW! Playhouse Disney at Disney Studios, all the character meet and greets, child play areas (Pooh’s area in Magic Kingdom and the Bug’s Life area at Disney Studios), lots of animals to look at in Animal Kingdom, shows with great music… ahem- I’m only slightly addicted to WDW. We liked Disneyland too, but there’s way more to do at WDW.

SL- Oh poor Lucas :( DSis had the croup a couple of times and I felt so bad for her.

Fabs- I LOVE the new photos.

Joats- We’re going to be sooo lame this year with gifts, especially with 10 days at WDW eating up our budget before Christmas. So far, DH is getting a pair of jeans for Christmas. DH got me a back massager thing. I would like to get DH a bicycle for Christmas, since he’s been begging for one for the last three or four years, but I’d need to make some serious money in order to afford it right now. If some kind of miracle is bestowed on me, I’ll finish cross stitching our Christmas stockings before Christmas day too, but I’m not holding my breath.

DisKim- Sorry your DH’s niece and nephew were little monsters. I would have been Grand A pi**ed if they did that to my house.

Lissawynn- I would have died if I saw someone ringing up $1500 in kids clothes.

Alice- I love what your mom did with that sewing machine.

Val- Hope you had fun at the reunion!

OK phew- I feel like I’ve been doing a lot of catch-up on the boards lately since I haven’t been at the computer much. We had a good day though. DH was sweet and offered to go to BJs in my place since the Christmas tree might be too heavy for me. So I got to stay home in bed. I was nervous that there might be a rush on trees or that DH wouldn’t know where to find them, so I must have kept him awake for an extra half hour last night just giving him pep talks. Luckily there were a LOT of Black Friday shoppers at the mall and in TRU, Target and Kohls, but DH said it was just him and two other cars in the BJs parking lot at 6 am, and the other two shoppers were looking at TVs or computers. I’m sooo glad the tree worked out, because it’s gorgeous. I still can’t believe how big it is- it almost hits the top of the high part of the ceiling. Ill have to take pictures when it’s decorated. Of course I was trying to put it together myself and almost fell off the top of the ladder working on the top of the tree. I’m such a spaz!

I got most of the cooking done for Spanksgiving tomorrow. Just one more trip to the grocery store tomorrow (the discount store that I hate), and a couple of more dishes and we’re done. Oh, and I have to cook the turkey- yeah that. DH is working until midnight, which means he wont get home until 1:45 am. He’s going to be a real joy when Olivia gets up early and I have to leave her with him so I can get to the geriatric fruit department.

OK, now a moment in “how much of a doofus am I?” When I went to the doctor for the bump, they asked when my last period was, and I had NO idea. I’ve only had it once since Olivia was born. I can remember the last period before I got pregnant, no problem (7-15-05), but the last couple of months have been a complete blur. The doctor thought it was funny that I might be “totally pregnant.” So I just spent the last 15 minutes searching through this thread to find out when it was, since I know I mentioned it to you girls! October 30! I still have a few days left before panic-time. Well, a couple of days at least. I was starting to second guess myself, especially with all the unexplained vomiting last week!

Ok, in case this post wasn’t long enough, I actually have some more pictures uploaded. I remember saying that my Halloween pictures would be up in time for Thanksgiving, which turns out to be pretty accurate. Here goes:

Ginamarie- Cute pics. Olivia is really growing.

Alice- Isn't Sam's b-day on the 28th? If so, what do you have planned?

justhat- Hope you feel better soon. My DH has been sick these last few days.

floridafam & SL- How are the kiddos feeling tonight? Better I hope.

zalansky- Have a great trip! Looking forward to seeing your WDW Christmas pics. I just bought Jenna a beautiful Christmas dress from the Disney store off of e-bay. It was a great deal. I don't think I told you that we may be stopping in Tampa on Dec. 30th-31st on our way back from WDW. We may go to BG.

Valerie- Have fun at your reunion. :)

Jill & Tasha- Continued luck with your studies. :thumbsup2

GLT- Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. I know the next few days will be hard on you and the kids. Even though my parents divorced 15 years ago, I still remember the day that my Dad moved out of our house. I had a first date (I was 17) that night with a guy who I had had a crush on for a long time. I wanted to cancel, but my Mom thought it was best that I go ahead with the date. I was very sad, and I'm sure the guy probably didn't have a good time since he never asked me out again. Anyway, keep your chin up. Sending more hugs and prayers your way! :grouphug:

Have a super Saturday, everyone!

zalansky - I know what you mean about spending so much money it makes you nervous. I get so stressed out over money around the holidays. I spent way too much yesterday. I wish I could say I was done but I'm not. I want to get Alex one more gift and I need to buy a ton of gift cards.

ginamarie - Great pictures of Olivia!

SL - Aidan hates stangers too. I hope Lucas is feeling better today.

DH took out all the Christmas junk last night and poor Aidan keeps tripping over it. I can't stand it when I get the house all clean after Thanksgiving and then the Christmas stuff all over just makes it look like a total mess. We won't be able to do any decorating until tonight. Emily has skating and then the kids have a birthday party at our neighbor's house. It should be cute. She does the Stuff and Fluff workshop parties, so her daughter is having one. I'm curious to see what it's like. I might do it for Aidan and Alex's birthdays (we're combining them this year).

Good morning. Lucas not only went down last night without any problems, but slept all night and is still sleeping. I think I might be too if DH hadn't set his alarm clock for 6:30am for no reason. If he's feeling better we might just go ahead and do the pictures as scheduled.

floridafam - We don't have urgent care around me. It's the emergency room or nothing. He didn't have a fever so I thought we could wait until morning. How is Kona doing?

justhat - Hope you're feeling better.

Alice28 - I hope you can get the playstation fixed. What a pain.

ginamarie - I love the pictures of Olivia! She's such a doll.

J&D - Have a good weekend!

DisKim - Have fun decorating. We haven't taken our Christmas stuff out yet but I really hope DH can at least get the tree and lights up this weekend. I can worry about the small things later.

Good morning ladies! I just have a minute while the kids are camped out in front of the TV--DH is off hunting with a friend, then he has to go in to work for a few hours.

Glad to hear everyone had a good Thanksgiving and some great Black Friday finds. We went to DBIL/SIL's house, which was much, much better than visiting MIL (although she was there). The kids were happier, DH and I were happier, and we could do it as a day trip, which was good for everyone but Luke, who just was all off his schedule.

I went out yesterday afternoon--usually, DBIL and I do a "Black Friday Blitz", where we take all the ads and plot our strategy of what store at what hour. But with nursing, that's not possible, so I settled on going to Target in the afternoon with my 10% off card, and hit Old Navy for a few things (I had a $10 off coupon). I'll probably do a lot of catalog/internet shopping for the older two, since they have specific desires (like forensic equipment), that I'm not likely to find too many places.

Icebrat--I wanted to mention, there IS a ton of stuff for toddlers at WDW, but when travelling with a youngster, you always have to put their needs first. The planning is different--you have to make sure to build naps in your schedule, alternate rides with your partner, that sort of thing. I went in August with 4 kids, ages 6mo to 11y, so it's very do-able, and the memories are priceless, so it's worth the effort. Oh, and on the food thing--if she likes chicken nuggets, you may be able to get her to try, say, vegetables dipped in sauce (ketchup, ranch, 1000 island), and maybe fruit dipped in yogurt. That's a good way to expand her palate. There are no easy answers, a lot of child rearing is finding your way day by day. Even experienced moms like me have "stump the mom" moments, so don't let that scare you.

"Hi" to everyone else--I must run and feed Luke. I'll try to catch up later today.

OH, we pulled out the Christmas stuff yesterday, and I hung up stockings. Poor Celeste thought it was Christmas TODAY!! It's going to be a L-O-N-G month!

I know this is so silly, but here are the pics of my Gymbo stuff. I have to post later. My sister and I are taking our dad to look at some recliners for his Christmas gift.
