The Official New Mom Thread Part 2

 Hi moms,
I feel like I have been gone for weeks and it's only been a day ;) . Forgive me for not replying to every post.

Bellacam,
Congrats :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay: ! I am so happy for you!!

Lisawynn,
Hope Jimmy is feeling better today.

Buzznbellesmom,
So glad to hear the baby is gaining :Pinkbounc ! Hope your other ds feels better soon.

SL,
LOL about the shoes :teeth: ! Have fun buying Lucas some new spring stuff.

DisneyPhd,
I'm so glad to hear the dvd was good quality! I'm making one of Katrina's first year right now. So far it is 13 minutes long. I hope to get to about 20 just to make the price seem worthwhile ;) .

Loretta,
I'll have to go check out those trip reports. I used to spend a lot of time reading them before I got hooked on this thread :) .

Justhat,
My dd seems to be growing exactly the same way my ds did, thankfully. Both were pretty big at six months and then slowed down a bunch so that their ages went with their clothing sizes (12 months at 12 months etc.).

Hi to everyone else.

Yesterday was a horrible day here :guilty: . I got a call from the school that my ds had to be taken back to school from the bus because of bad behavior. So we had to go pick him up. He was written up and if it happens again then he won't be able to ride the bus for the rest of the year. A little girl was teasing him and calling him names so he stuck his tongue out at her and "blew raspberries" and started screaming at her.

I really am at my wits end with this child :guilty: . All year he has been having trouble with controlling himself. I have the teacher write to me in his notebook everyday about how things went and he is often shouting out without raising his hand and not paying attention. The thing is I know that deep down he wants to be good and he is the sweetest most loving kid in the world. It's like he can't control himself. I wrote to the teacher today to see if she thinks it is time to involve the doctor in this. I hate to just stick him on medication but I don't know what else to do. We have tried a reward system and we have tried taking away priveledges and nothing seems to help.
It just breaks my heart.

Then to top off my lovely day we lost power. It was off until 7:00 last night. I couldn't cook dinner, couldn't give ds a bath, couldn't do any laundry. What a pain!

Today I get to go to the dentist  to have another cavity filled. There is one more after this one and then I am free for a year.

I guess I should go work on that laundry before Katie wakes up. Talk to you all later.

Val- I'm sorry your little boy is having troubles in school. That's so hard! I hope you find a way to help him stay on track. :grouphug:

SL- LOL about the light up shoe being our Official Mom's Meet Shoe! That is a FUNNY visual.

Justhat- For the most part, my kids have been similar in growth patterns. BIG. Although I remember the boys evening out - now they are just Joe-Average and fit in their regular sizes. But Molly is just extra tall, which kinda makes sense. Both DH and I are big people, but I was always on the 100%th for height and 90-100% for weight.....DH didn't sprout til he was almost out of high school. So if our children take after more their same gendered parent, if will really make sense. I would just buy a few things for your DS for next year....my DS#2 came out at over 11 pounds, as I've shared before....his 0-3 month stuff that I bought lasted about 3 weeks. :rolleyes2 Molly however, lost that pound at birth, so her 0-3 month stuff lasted almost the whole stretch, but then she took off and has been about 4-5 months ahead of schedule as far as when the clothes should fit.

Loretta- it is SO hard to go with the flow with the dining plan, but I will take the ADRs anyday since I like having stuff prepaid for! The dining plan is just awesome. I read in my latest passporter how someone's favorite way to tour the parks is just get on the first bus that pulls up to their hotel- they called it 'theme park roulette'. The anal planner in me just couldn't do that!

SL- LOL :rotfl2: about your description of Lucas looking like Nick Nolte's mug shot! :lmao: I'm still laughing! Sounds like it's time for some new clothes for Lucas!

Hillbeans- Liam IS a big guy! Wow!

GLT- Did you get some good sleep last night?

BuzznBelle- so glad Luke gained a little weight- he will get there, I know it!

FlordaFam- thanks for the tip about the advil and Aunt Flo's Flow. ;) I will try that next time.

Well, my Dear Dad took Sam fishing this morning. Hope they have fun! My mom will be here in an hour or so and we're going to the mall. She wants to order Molly's portraits from Flash, and I am going to spend my last Gymbuck. Just gonna get underwear (their underpants are the BEST! My boys will wear those, and then put on some Batman Hanes I bought at Target and say 'These underwear are itchy...), some socks for Josh and hopefully have enough leftover for maybe a tshirt or two.

DisKim- hope you find a solution to keeping Aidan out of stuff!

Oh, and for those who asked, yes, Josh is feeling MUCH better! I let them play with friends yesterday and he's eating like a horse. He doesn't want to take the meds anymore cause 'I'm all better now Momma' but too bad, so sad. Still hafta take it for another few days.

Hi to all the moms out there!

I just got back from shopping with my parents. It was a pretty successful shopping trip (probably too successful. ) SL, hearing all the talk of shoes, I hit DSW wharehouse and did pretty well there. No light up shoes though. :rotfl2: John got his picture taken with the Easter Bunny today and it came out so cute! If I get a chance, I’ll scan it and post it.

Justhat – Predicting kids sizes has always been tough for me. I had two tiny kids and one solid kid. John is 5 months now and he is 12 ½ lbs. and wears 3-6 month clothing. Katie would have been wearing 9-12 month at this age. They are all so different. I’m afraid to buy in advance anymore b/c I never know if the kids are ever going to fit into what I buy.

Robin – Glad to hear that Josh is feeling better. :grouphug:

Loretta - I read part of ZZUB’s trip report and it is hilarious! I need to finish the rest tonight. :lmao:

Have a super time tonight at your mom’s night out dinner!

Valerie – I’m sorry to hear about your son’s troubles. Your son sounds exactly like my nephew. He is the sweetest thing, but sometimes couldn’t control his emotions. He went to therapy for a little bit and today he is an awesome 11 year old. No problems at all and the teachers love him. It is so hard to be a mom sometimes isn’t it? I wish you the best in trying to work through this.

DisneyPhD – Happy Birthday to Anna! Don’t you just love American Girl doll stuff? What a sweet friend you have for buying you the DVD! Thanks for the information on how it looks too. I made a slide show of one of our Disney trips and I think I am going to purchase it.

DisKim – Bummer that you can’t find a baby gate for the stairs. It is fun when the babies are mobile, but boy can they sure get into stuff! Good luck with Aidan.

Floridafam – Thanks for the tip on Anaprox. I just might try it!

BuzznBelle’smom – Glad to hear that Luke is gaining weight. Sorry to hear that your other son is sick.

Lisawynn – I hope you got some rest last night!

Hillbeans – I’m happy to hear that Liam’s check up went so well. He sounds like he is doing great and that is so exciting that he really wants to move! Having older siblings is quite the motivator for the little ones. I’m glad to hear that Liam is sleeping better for you too. Perhaps, Liam can talk to John about sleeping better.

Nucpharm – I hope you are having a great trip!

GLT – I hope your son sleeps better for you too.

SL – You had me cracking up at your description of Lucas. I bet he still looked like a cutie pie even with bananas on him. Babies grow way to fast! I think they literally do grow overnight!

BTW, too funny about light up shoes being the new crocs!

Hi to Tamie! I hope Tyler is better for you now.

Gotta run. It is parent viewing day at Ballet. Of course, John is Mr. cranky pants so that should be very interesting. Wish me luck b/c I am going to need it this afternoon. :teeth:

Have a wonderful day! :sunny:

ETA: I realized when I cut and pasted from Word that I pasted twice in some areas! Sorry, if this post didn't make sense.

Well, I am back from the mall. It was successful. I only went into three stores, but scored some good deals. I spent my last Gymbuck on Joshua- 3 tshirts, 1 short and 3 underpants and only spent $32. I bought him another tshirt and short from the same line 2 months ago (it is that line that had the snakes, geckos, gators, with greens, oranges...not Josh's best colors, but hey, it was already on sale + the Gymbuck discount.

Then I went into GapKids and had a 10% off coupon. I got Sam a pair of cargos for next school year for only $15, and some socks for Josh/Molly.

And THEN I went into Nordstrom Rack and SCORED on some Stride Rites, wide in Sam's size for only $24. And some sandals for Josh and Sam for only $10 each.

And I got Baja Fresh for lunch. Yum, Yum! I love to shop for my kids! And I still have that $25 gift card on its way from Gymboree, so I will wait for the rumored upcoming Red Hot Dot sale around April 5th.
Jill- I hope John isn't Mr. Cranky Pants at ballet! :teeth: Glad you had a good shopping trip too!

Robin - You got some great deals today! I love it when I get great discounts and some neat stuff for the kids and myself. :cool1:

John actually did pretty well in ballet. He loved watching all the girls dance. :teeth: (I think I am in trouble in the future with him and girls. ;) ) I'm kicking myself for not bringing my camera. Katie got her costume for the recital and the class danced to their song, "Unforgettable." It was so cute and they all looked so beautiful.

I'm starting to feel bad for John though with all this shuttling the girls around. After ballet, we dropped Meagan off for soccer practice. At least I've got a friend picking up Katie for her practice which is at 6:00. All I can say is thank goodness for carpools! :cheer2: I would be in BIG trouble if we didn't have them. Poor John gets run around enough and I know this spring will be so hectic with all the activities that go on around here.

One last thing, I am part cracking up and part horrified at what my daughter is learning in "sex ed". I actually know the program and it is fine, she just isn't getting some of the stuff they are teaching. She came home and said that "sticks" aka tampons cause cancer. What?! No, sweetie I haven't heard that. She also tells me that her eggs are starting to travel down her tubes. (The way she said it, makes me visualize chicken eggs rolling down a tube for some reason. Yes, I'm crazy.) :lmao: Ok, sweetie! Actually one of her girlfriends has her . already and she is only 10. Yikes! Meagan also was asking me which feminine product she should wear when it is 'her time...."linens" (aka sanitary napkins) or "sticks" (aka tampons). She's also has sworn off of ever having a baby. I'm like "Ok sweetie, just remember that when you are a teenager!" :rotfl2: I am looking forward to these little conversations each day. My husband on the other hand is turning beat red and saying "LA LA LA" while sticking his fingers in his ears when she brings it up with him. He told her that this is mommy's department. :lmao:

Everyone have a great evening! Any fun plans for the weekend?

BTW, has anyone heard from Joats lately? I was wondering how Jace and Joats were doing.

Yeah, where is Joats? I wonder how Jace is doing?

LOL about sticks and linens. :rotfl2: I got my . when I was 11, so ya never know. My mom had JUST got done talking about it with me about 1 week or two before. I mean, I had had the sex ed classes, and my mom was always open about it with me, but she made a point of bringing it up when I was about 11 1/2 cause that's when she got hers and when her mother got hers. Maybe it's kind of hereditary?

I remember it came on New Year's Eve and I was at my aunt's house. My mom and grandma were so excited they were practically crying. I was like STOP IT. And my cousins were being so bi*chy to me (no big surprise there). Apparently my 15 year old cousin had just gotten it recently, and my 12 year old cousin had not yet, so they decided it was something to be mean to me over. They're still insecure to this day. Stupid. Funny things that trigger memories like that!

Anyway, I know what you mean about always feeling like your shuffling the baby around to the older kid's stuff. Joshua has swim lessons the next two sets of MWFs. It's with preschool and technically he could get a ride back to preschool with another parent, but I feel funny about that. I guess it's no big deal. But to have to be at the pool from 1230-100, drop him off, and be back there by 3....PITA.

I'm so excited Survivor is FINALLY back on tonight! And Lost was so AWESOME last night- I was riveted to the TV. :bitelip:

No big plans for this weekend; maybe minigolfing tomorrow or Saturday morning. Nat'l Guard BBQ Sunday afternoon that we may go to. I dunno much else!

SL – Poor Lucas! I hope he didn’t look too much like Nick Nolte in that mug shot! My mom keeps the kids spotless but my MIL is another story. It’s frightening.

Zalansky – I hate going to Disney with people who don’t want to plan anything. I’ve gone with relatives in the past and they’ve made fun of me and my obsessive planning and itineraries. Then, when we’re there, they all thank me. Enjoy your mom’s night out. I’m sure Conner will love having Dad at karate class!

Justhat – thanks for the information on the gate. I’ll certainly check it out.

Valerie – I’m so sorry to hear that your son had a bad day at school. I hope things get better for him. I know what you mean about wanting to stay away from medication. My daughter has ADD and I refused to medicate her because I wasn’t totally convinced with the diagnosis. That was 3 years ago. Now, she’s doing great. It might just be immaturity and he’ll grow out of it.

Buzznbellesmom – Glad to hear Luke gained a little weight. I hope the little guy keeps up the good work.

Jill – I’m glad John liked watching the girls dance today. Emmy only took dance for 2 years and quit. She hated it. Meanwhile, I danced all the way through college. Go figure. I’m sure the girls looked beautiful. I love that song.

Robin – Looks like you got some good deals today! I love shopping for the kids too.

We got out to the park today. It got cold after a while. Emmy and Alex both played with friends and had a great time. I met my friend there and her DD just loves me. She jumps in my arms as soon as she sees me. She’s 9 months old. Aidan gets very jealous when I hold her.

I feel so bad. DH just asked me if we could do something as a family this weekend and I had to tell him that I’m going out to dinner with friends tomorrow. It’s my friend’s birthday. I have to go. I’m hoping to have some good, quality family time this weekend. We might go to Six Flags, but we are already going next weekend with girl scouts. I also have to go to BRU and get Aidan’s first birthday t-shirt. No matter what I do, the weekend will fly and feel like it was never here.

Oh my goodness has Tyler napped the day away. He usually only naps 2 1/2 hours throughout the whole day. Today he napped 2 1/2 just in the morning. I hope he still sleeps well tonight!

diskim - I hope you get some family time this weekend. This is our first weekend in a month where DH and I are both home. March was crazy so I can totally relate. Maybe plan a fun family breakfast one morning.

alice - You got some great deals! I need to get Tyler some new sandles and he has to wear stride rite for the wide widths. I think I'll wait until after his bday though to see if he gets any.

jill - That is so cute that John loves watching the girls. You've got a little heartbreaker on your hands! And LOL about your daughter in sex-ed! That's so great that she talks to you about what she learns though. At least she's not too embarrassed about it!

val - What a tough situation with your son! I sure hope you guys can get things worked out.

Has anyone ever used Martha Stewart paint? There are some beautiful colors, but I've never heard reviews from anyone. Just curious.

I'm trying to type up a little WDW guide for my girlfriend who is taking her family for the first time next week. Boy, it's tough to attempt to keep it brief! I could easily get carried away and send her with a gazillion pages of info.

Have a good night everyone.

tamie

I've been meaning to post a picture of my exchange gift - well, Tyler's exchange gift! It was from Val.

cuteoutfitlr.jpg

There's also a super cute baseball hat and sunglasses, but I didn't put those on him today. :)

SL - I think it was you who was talking about doing a screen printed T for Lucas. I found really cheap tshirts at cheapesTees.com. I just decided to order one instead of searching for solid blank tshirts. Everything I've seen has printing on it in the stores.

Just looked at today's mail and I've got another little insurance vent here..... :furious: When John was sick with a virus last month, his pediatrician sent us to the ER so he could get rehydrated. Get this....the insurance company deemed the ER visit "not necessary" so they rejected it. Aaaaaaaaarghhhh! :furious:

We are so tired of dealing with them over every little thing with John that we are just going to pay the bill and move on. I'm just relieved that they took care of the RSV shots in the end, so I will pick my battles and not bother to fight this one. (Even though we are right!) Who rejects an infant getting hydration after they've been throwing up for hours? His own pediatrician wanted him at the ER b/c they would be better equiped to handle dehydration. Oh well.....

All I can say is that they better not give us trouble when John gets his surgery for his cleft palate repair or they are going to have to deal with one unhappy lady here.

Ok, whew....I feel better now. Thanks for letting me vent! :teeth:

Now back to the thread! :sunny:

Oops, I forgot to post something.... Sorry!

Tamie - Cute picture of Tyler! He is growing up! I've used Martha Stewart paint in three of my rooms. The colors are true to the swatch and she has some very lovely colors. My only complaint is that I have better quality paint in other parts of my house. Martha's paints don't hold up too well over time. In one of my rooms, the paint totally and I mean totally faded. You wouldn't even know that I painted it. Of course this was about 6 1/2 years ago, so I think her paints may be much better now. I do love her colors though.

DisKim - Weekends certainly do go by way too fast. I wish that weekends were a minimum of three days. :teeth: I hope that you get some family time this weekend. :wizard: When you danced what type of dance did you do? I took ballet in college and loved it. I think this is the girls last year of dancing. They've both been dancing for years and I know that Katie said she wants to stop. I'm fine with that. One less place to run to. :teeth:

Robin - How mean of your cousins to give you a hard time when you were younger. :guilty: They were probably very jealous. I was a late bloomer myself (14), but I wouldn't be surprised if Meagan gets it in the next two years. That is so wonderful that your mom was open with you about all of this. I found out about .'s on the playground from other kids.

It sounds like you are a busy mom yourself with running around too. I remember feeling like I lived in my car at times with all the running around I did.

Your weekend sounds like a lot of fun! Have a great time mini golfing and at the BBQ!

Goodnight to all the moms! :wave2: I'm off to bed!

zalansky - Hope you had a good time at your dinner tonight.

justhat - I'm certainly no expert on multiple-kid families, but judging from my nephews, I would say there's a chance your kids may not follow the same growth pattern. You'd think that of all siblings, twins would, but one is HUGE and the other is tiny.

vald - I hope you get things with your DS straightened out. Is he acting out because of the baby? Sibling jealousies? :grouphug:

Alice28 - Sounds like you scored big at the mall this afternoon. I wish I lived near a Nordstrom Rack. We have a Nordstrom, but I hate paying full price.

llij - :furious: Is there any way you can switch insurance carriers? They sound impossible. I hope you get things straightened out and they don't give you trouble for John's cleft surgery.

tkyes - Tyler looks adorable in his exchange outfit! I'll have to try Lucas's on but I'm afraid it's going to be huge. It should fit by the summer. Luckily, it won't be shorts weather for a while. Thanks for the link - that would be so much easier than making my own.

DisKim - I hope you find something fun to do with your family this weekend.

GLT - I hope your back is feeling better.

I had to work today but I have tomorrow off because my sister is having surgery on her sinuses and my mom didn't want all three boys alone. Can't say I blame her. I stopped at Marshall's after work and found 2 new shirts for Lucas. It's always so hit or miss in there. Tomorrow we'll work on the pants. It's supposed to be absolutely gorgeous tomorrow so I'm really glad I have a long weekend. I may even try to go to the park and see if he likes going in the swing.

Have a good night, mommies!

zalansky, thanks for sharing the code. Now I am very tempted to put one together with all Disney pictures over the years, and do a few songs, for that price I think it would be a good deal.

One of the videos had a glltch in it and it stopped at the same place every time in our main DVD player. It does not do it in our newer DVD player in the bedroom. I emailed them and they are sending me out a new one, so we get a 2nd one! (grandparents.)

Thanks for all the well wishes on Anna's brithday. We had a good time. She had a party with some friends at our house on Saturday. It was crazy, but over thank god.

Yes, I have become an American Girl addict. Both Anna and I are having fun with it.

Lily went nuts over the cupcakes we bought for Anna's class yesterday. She spent the whole time in the store buying them yelling "cake, cake, CAKE!!!!!!" She was not leaving the classroom with out one and when we got home I shared one with her. They were not vegan. She didn't get a rash, all seemed fine. That evening she did the wake every 2 hours, sream and cry and want to nurse. After the 2nd time I gave her benedryl and she was fine.

Tonight we finished off the cup cakes with my brother and his kids. Lily was going nuts wanting one. Well there was no way we could eat them in front of her with our her so I gave her some of the cake part thinking that would be the safest. I then read the ingredients and found out that the frosting was all veg shorting based. SHE LOVED THE FROSTING! It was pretty funny. I have her benedryl before bed. I don't plan to do this often, but I feel so bad for her being left out. I think I will be sure we have big bottle with us on vacation just in case. :teeth:

It was lovey here today, we went to the zoo with a mom's group and played outside all afternoon. I love my house when we can play in the yard too.

My SIL and called today. The judge signed the papers, they are the foster parents. They are waiting for some more paper work before they can come home. Very happy for them.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi gals.
I am back from my moms night out and had two Appletinis. :woohoo: That is just enough for me to feel good but I hope I don't feel hungover in the morning. I will not be in the mood for that! What's funny is we had 3 new members tonight at our moms group and I am excited about them. They were very cool. But the funnier part, is - I told strories about my other friends I post on a message board with - which would be you girls! Do you think they though I was insane? :rotfl: I am not sure alot of other people understand the message board mentality? Especially a Disney based one! When i told these women we'd bought the DVC they looked at me as if I were nuts then. Oh well. C'est la vie, I say! I love this board and I am growing to love my moms group so all is well in my world tonight.
have a good night. :wave2:

Hi, everyone! I haven't had time to read any of the replies since I last posted as it has been very busy here so I hope I am not missing anything extremely important!

Today it was 84 degrees here with a slight breeze and sunny! Perfect weather so Kylie and I did end up going to the park and we ran a few other errands. Then, when dh got home we went over to my SIL's house (she lives right across the street) to visit with her and our 2 nephews. Well, 3 nephews as dh's stepbrother's son was also there! Kylie had a blast playing with my 5 year old nephew but I had to keep her away from the baby b/c she kept trying to grab his head! She is a bit rough and unfortunately is too young to understand she can hurt the baby. And she acted a little jealous that I was holding him and not her! Ey yi yi! Anyway, we were there for several hours and I have not had time to pop onto the computer till now.

But I wanted to quickly ask for your good thoughts and prayers. I have been really thinking about going back to work after our vacation b/c it is starting to get hard making it on one income and truthfully I miss the "outside" world and adult interaction. Sure we can make ends meet, but there is very rarely any extra money! So anyway, I told dh the other night that I would really like to get a job at a daycare again (I taught 2-3 year olds about 5 years ago) and that would be perfect for me since it has perfect hours and I could also take Kylie to work with me and I sort of know what to expect. Well, I never mentioned this to anyone except dh and out of the blue tonight my SIL starts talking about how her daycare provider stopped by this morning to help her with some latch on nursing issues she's currently having with the new baby. Then she tells me that the daycare provider needs some extra help and I guess my MIL was also there during this time and said something like, "Oh, that sounds perfect for Tasha! She has done it before and I am sure she wouldn't mind doing it again since she could bring Kylie with her." The lady told her to tell me to call her! So I am planning to call her tomorrow and see what happens. There is a chance she won't need me just yet b/c she does currently have someone but apparently this woman isn't working out too well so she is on the lookout for a replacement!

So please keep me in your thoughts and prayers that this will work out! This is exactly what I have been hoping for and I would also be keeping my nephew when he starts going there in May! The only problem would be if she won't work around the week I am in Florida b/c I am not cancelling my trip this close to it. But SIL doesn't think she will have a problem with it and may even let me start after the trip! Man, this would really help us out so please wish me all your best! I will update and let you know what I find out sometime tomorrow! I would love it if she hired me tomorrow but don't want to get my hopes up too high just yet!

Well, I think I got a little too much sun today and it is making me tired so I'm going to bed! Night!

P.S. Can you believe I am actually starting to LIKE my SIL?! The crazy one that has always been a witch towards me in the past?! She's been half way human since Kylie was born and we have been getting along...but, shhh...don't tell anyone! I am not ready to come out of the closet on that little secret just yet! ;)

OK, I didn't post for a day and I'm behind. So first I'll say a big ol' HELLO to everyone. :wave2:

All of your shopping is giving me quite the shopping bug! Keep me posted on good deals/sales. We need spring/summer clothes!

I had a meeting tonight and left dh with the kids for two hours. I got home and our baby is asleep on the carpet in the living room still taking deep crying breaths, the poor thing. He cried for over an hour! :guilty:

Tamie -- I'd love it if you can pm me the WDW info. This will be our first trip (I went as a kid but that doesn't count) so I'd love some tips! The pic of Tyler is so cute. Way to go Tyler on the nap, I love those days! For me they are few and far between. Poor Leif is constantly being woken from naps because we are on our way to or from someplace. Poor kid.

zalansky - I'm glad you had a fun outing. And thanks for sharing, I can live vicariously through you :thumbsup2

DisneyPhd - I'm glad the DVD people are so nice to work with. I think I'll have to put one together for the holidays -- so I will start collecting photos :teeth: I'm glad you were able to enjoy the weather today. It was sunny here, but the breeze off of Lake Michigan was quite chilly. Lily has the right idea. I LOVE cupcakes, well, any cake really. That's my weakness. Cake. mmmmm just the thought of it . . . :cake: Congrats to your SIL, I hope it continues to go well. :wizard:

Jill, good luck with the insurance scam. I hate dealing with that garbage. Today I had to fight with the bank about some wierd fees and the cell phone company about exorbitant (sp?) charges. I hate dealing with all that money garbage! Sounds like your dd is quite the gal. I'm glad that she can talk with you about that stuff, you must be a great mom! BTW, I'm still not getting much sleep, in fact I am exhausted. But DS is sleeping on the floor in the living room (thanks to dh) so I have to decide if I hang out here until he wakes or if I wake him, nurse him and hope he sleeps for a few more hours so i can too. . .

Val - good luck with ds, I am sure that is very stressful. You have to do what you think is right and for him, you know him best. Sometimes it can be the way they interact with the teacher/students. And a change of venue is in order. At any rate, good luck, I'll send good thoughts your way pixiedust:

SL - thanks for the good thoughts. Back is still not right, but at least I can function! I don't go back to the chiropractor until Monday so hopefully my back will do well until then!

Good night!

Tasha - you must have posted when I was ... good luck with the job lead. It sounds like it's meant to be! :wizard:

Morning all!

Jill, I had to laugh at your DD and sex ed. I think witnessing her brother's birth made DD10 swear off sex for 20 years, at least...and I got another 10 when she saw the breast pump in action! And she's the one who wanted to dissect a dead cat for the science fair! (See what you new moms have to look forward to? sure, they're sugar and spice now...) .

Oops, I'm up--someone slept real well last night, but now I smell a blowout!

Good morning!

I wanted to pop back on because I forgot to comment on Tyler's picture last night. He is just sooooo handsome and I always love his expressions. They always give me a smile. :goodvibes

Then I saw your poast Tasha! I will send pixie dust :wizard: and prayers your way things work out with the daycare. Let us know how the phone call goes this morning. Do you have any sort of teaching degree? I ask because I was thinking of something along those lines when Connor goes to pre-school so I could bring Cameryn but I think in this area they want degrees for those jobs! GOOD LUCK again. :wizard:

I am going to try and work on a DVD for Connor today. I am feeling guilty (bad mommy syndrome struck me for sure) because Connor purposely hurt Cameryn yesterday morning. He jammed her fingers between two plastic pieces and pressed as hard as could. I was in the kitchen and heard her scream like she never had before. When I came in the room Connor immediately confessed (something he does regularly and let's hope that continues for a while) that he hurt her on purpose and how he did it. This is about the third time he has done it this week but she was screaming so hard no noise was coming out. I got so angry I just slapped him and screamed at him. It was a terrible reaction and I've felt awful about it since then. Two wrongs don't make a right but it was my only reaction at the time. I should call child services on my own self. :sad2: Sorry but I feel like I have to confess to the world my bad behavior. :sad2:

Have a good FRIDAY everyone, TGIF!!! The weeks are flying by aren't they? I feel like I say this so often these days!
