What does everyone predict on May Disney crowds with Epic Universe opening?

Touring plans has most of May as pretty low crowds. I’ve seen other predictions saying low crowds until Memorial Day. Plus all the discounts just released (free dining and room) point to lower than expected crowds.

What does everyone predict on May Disney crowds with Epic Universe opening?

Touring plans has most of May as pretty low crowds. I’ve seen other predictions saying low crowds until Memorial Day. Plus all the discounts just released (free dining and room) point to lower than expected crowds.

I mean that’s just how May is normally. Even Memorial Day doesn’t see a super huge jump in them the way you see on other holidays. It’s always a slower month outside of freak occurrences or the cheer hordes at the start of the month.

No one can predict how Epic will affect anything. It’s the first major theme park opening for 25 years. Nobody knows what will happen because there’s really no precedent for it. It’s just as likely people could be scared of massive crowds and hold off visits to the area entirely, like what happened with Galaxy’s Edge. But that was just a land opening and not a whole park. There’s too many factors and too many unknowns to state anything definitively.

The discounts are aimed at filling Disney resorts so people ostensibly checking out both will stay on site at WDW rather than down the street. We avoid Universal on ethical grounds so Epic doesn’t mean anything to us.

We’re finally in the double digits for our countdown.

I’m pretty sure we’re set on ADRs we want to make.

Since we are staying at AKV we’re definitely doing Jiko and Boma breakfast and dinner. We've done Sanaa before and if we want to do it again we will do walk up, to-go or same day ADR. Also doing Toppolino’s breakfast and Narcossees over our 8 nights.
