We will be there May 12th - 16th at the Beach Club Villa's! First time staying there. We have always stayed at the Poly but this was a better deal this time! Can't wait!! Last trip was 2009!!

Yeah... I already have a plastic tote of the kids clothes out with gallon ziplock bags sitting on top. I promised my husband I would wait until April to start, but since the kids aren't wearing the clothes its making it awful hard!

I have a plastic bin in my basement that I have been throwing clothes into as I come across them! I'm REALLY bad at procrastinating and usually wait until several days before a trip to start packing. I PROMISED myself I wouldn't do that this time! Since I have 2 little ones most of their clothes will be new so as I buy them and wash them I've been throwing them into the bin to get a head start! I'm going to start doing that with mine and DH's clothes next month. We probably won't need our summer clothes before our trip so I see no need to NOT pack them ahead of time!!

Me too!! I pulled the kid's clothes and put them in a box with the labeled ziplock bags on top. I am going to wash them before we go. And I have a box of toiletries. I have been buying a couple each time I go to the store. Right now my husband is getting the bin with my summer clothes. 61 days!!

We also have a plastic bin that holds what my kids refer to as their "Disney clothes" I have been buying different shirts and outfits here and there for this upcoming trip for several months now. Some of the items were clearance priced Disney character tees/tanks that I bought a size bigger at the end of last summer and stored in the bin specifically for this trip. Last week I went shopping for all our travel toiletries, sunscreen, gallon size zip lock bags, first aid supplies, hand wipes, sanitizer, etc. and threw those all in a bag that is sitting in the bin to be packed. We still haven't taken the suitcases out of the attic yet so that is something else I have to do soon. I also discovered we are missing two Mickey ponchos from our last trip so I will have to buy two decent ponchos for my two youngest kids. I think I will buy them from the camping gear aisle at Walmart or Target as I think they have them at good prices. On our last trip we bought a bunch of dollar store ponchos with the intention of only using them once and that turned out to be a frustrating experience and waste of money because we ended up buying the $8 Mickey ponchos anyway. Those Mickey ponchos worked well in those August rainstorms we got stuck in during a few of our park days on that trip. So we will stick with our Mickey ponchos or at least ones that are made better than sandwich bags

What are the benefits of online check in?

Online checkin they have all your documents ready and keys printed. They also assign a room and text you. When we've done online check in, the second we turned on our phones after landing we had our room numbers. It was convenient and you still get to interact with a cast member. I'm not sure it actually saved time though. When we've done it both lines seemed to go about the same rate. There's also constant debate on the boards as to whether online check in accommodates requests or not. For me, if I have room requests, I prefer to do the full check in and have a longer interaction with the cast member. Just a preference though.

Balance paid today for 5/1-5/5 stay at POR! I am so excited. My dh is too embarrassed to tell anyone at work we're going to the world b/c we don't have kids. I on the other hand, am so pumped I tell everyone. Disney is fun for the young at heart.

Nothing ever goes as planned... I just called to get my reservation updated to include the Deluxe Dining Plan. I was told they had to use an expired code, but gave it to me and quoted me my new price.

I go to pay it at the website and the resort reservation is gone. Can't be found anywhere. Won't link with my confirmation number.

I am back on the phone, on hold, while they try and fix it... :

Yay.. they found my reservation... but now I have 2 reservations on my page! (It's a bug they are trying to work out) However, it's all paid for and I am ready to go!

75 days! Staying at AKL with DH and DD to celebrate her 10th birthday! She thinks we are staying at Caribbean Beach...We are surprising her with her "dream hotel". We go annually but haven't been there for Star Wars Weekends which is what she is really looking forward to and has saving her money for. (We don't buy souvenirs for her. We teach her that it is about the moments, not the money.). Bags are practically packed already! Can't wait to see the look on her face!
