***the official may 2013 thread***

We've NEVER been in May/June, can you tell me what the weather is like?? I have no clue whether to pack pants or shorts or both. We are Canadians so we tough, but I do want to know what to expect.

I managed to snag an Ohana dinner reservation for May 24th! I had checked the other day and none were available. Thanks to whoever cancelled! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to stuff my face and watch Wishes from the Poly beach for the first time!

Going to WDW May 16-23rd . We are currently booked for Saratoga Springs Resort but we are waitlisted for Kidani Village Villas. First time using our DVC membership, decided what perfect time than during Star Wars Weekends :thumbsup2.

You'll definitely want shorts. I was doing shorts when I went last Feb/March. It will be warm enough for shorts. However, the water in the water parks, if you're going will still be cold.

If it's an over cast day, light sweatpants or jeans would work.

Generally it is pretty Hot & Humid in the summer. The humidity almost feels like walking in a really sunny steam room all day! In this type of climate/region we typically try to pack clothes that will breath well & air dry quickly. I also often keep a travel size face wipes, deodorant & body powder in my bag. (It is not fun to have sweat soaked clothes sticking to you all day!) Generally shorts, capris, tanks, t-shirts, polos, summer dresses/skirts (may want shorts under for some rides.)
Layering is always good, I often pack a light jacket, sweater/sweat shirt/zippy, wrap/shawl for the early mornings & evenings. (I make room in my bag for a extra layer as there can be good temperature change throughout the day.)
Slacks, jeans, are nice for the evenings if you have the time to change.

Hi Everybody!

My hubby and I will be staying at AOA in a LM room for 9 glorious nights May 11-20!

We have been 4 times together, but this trip has a lot of firsts for us!

First time staying on-site, First time for Flower & Garden, and First Time doing Star Wars Weekend!! And of course first time on the DDP!

I am SO excited for this trip, I can hardly contain myself!!

I have made our ADRs, but I am eagerly awaiting the chance to book the Wishes dessert party!

And I just started pin trading on our last trip, so I can't wait to get back and do more trading!!

72 Days!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Oh how. Exciting! AoA is such a great resort. DW and I have not stayed there but viewed it on last vacation. It was wonderful. Tried to get a LM room for May but fully booked ( I need an accessible room ) but hopefully next time! star wars cool! Get your star wars pins and have fun!

Joining in. I'm going to Orlando in May to visit my parents and go to Scrapbook Expo. Somehow two days at Expo turned into one day at Expo and two at Disney. Funny how that happens. ;-)

We'll be at MK on May 3 and Epcot May 5.

I did have the Segway tour booked May 5. Still waiting for Disney to tell me it's cancelled.

69!!!! (Days to go)

I feel like it's getting closer every day!

You can add me to the list, i wasn't gonna go in may this year but i changed my mind and booked,
i'll be at POP May 25 - 31 :yay:

Only 68 more days till we step foot on the happiest place in the world.

We are going to be there May 25-June 1st. We were originally going in March, but changed our plans. It will be me, DH, DD17, & DD15. DD graduates from high school on Sunday May 19th and DD15 last day of school is May 23rd. So on May 25th we are off to WDW. WDW is where DD wanted to go for her graduation trip, I'm so glad my DD's love Disney as much as I do. :thumbsup2 I can't wait, we are staying at POR, but I'm thinking about changing at POP. I'm so ready!! :dance3::woohoo:
