I'm assuming it's an April Fools thing, and really really hoping it is I've hated everything he's done since sixth sense and I always go see them lol. The worst by far was the happening though, and it looked so cool in the ads...I want those two hours back.

We see everything he does for some odd reason, too. The Happening was definitely not nearly as cool as they made it out to be in the trailers!

I just finished pulling one over on my boss and I didn't think of this being an April Fool's trick either. I sure hope it is. Even though I am a Shamalyahanayahn fan (however you spell it), I am not sure I would like him messing with my lost!

I agree. And his name is pronounced Shamalamadingdong.

I totally disagree! I think he'd bring an incredible perspective to the finale, and remember that he is not writing it - and it will all have to be approved by the producers, which (if it's true) is probably why they are already working on it. But I do think this could be an April Fools joke, especially if it was just released today? I would think that would be big news, and Ihaven't seen it.

I just read that this was announced yesterday, which means no April Fools joke. Again, if you don't like his movies, remember that he WROTE those movies. He will be directing what the Lost writers have written. And I think it will be incredible!

On Lostpedia, it was announced shortly after midnight today - which would make it April 1st. Most of the bloggers over there have also said this was a joke.
