The Official LOST Season Five *No Spoilers* Thread

Just thought I'd share a funny quote from Hurley (we've been rewatching season 1) ...As he is trying to check in for flight 815 he says to the woman at the desk "I just don't understand this time change thing" :lmao: Guess we know how he feels!! :rotfl:

I've been re-watching season 1 also and I am now 100% convinced that the adam and eve skeletons we saw in the caves are Rose and Bernard. Jack said from their clothes they have been decomposing 40-50 years and also made some comments about the caves were not a burial tomb but instead they probably lived there.

Also, I forgot that when jack came across his dad's casket that it was EMPTY!! So I am still confused if his dad was a spirit or manifestation or if he came back to life like Locke? :confused3

For Adam and Eve to be Rose and Bernard they would have had to flash back to the 50's or 60's. So, do you think there will be more time traveling for the Losties? Or do you think Rose and Bernard somehow got "stuck" back in 1954(when Locke & crew met up with young Charles Widmore)? And if they got stuck, how or why???

They could have died during that time, thus leaving their bodies in the time period, just like Charlotte.

Saxsoon beat me to the answer. We haven't seen them since they were being shot at by the flaming arrows - that is when they were seperated from Sawyer  and his gang. The next flash was 1954. I also have another theory about the marbles but it is a bit of a stretch. I will throw it out here to see what you guys think anyway.

The losties found a small pouch with one black and one white marble in it on one of the skeletons. I'm wondering if when they were in the 50's they were in so much pain from the flashes or maybe perhaps confusion that they decided they wanted to end their own lives. They cast lots using the marbles to decide who would go first. It is a stretch I know and honestly I have nothing to back it up. But it is just what popped in my head first when I saw them this time.

No comments on Christian's Coffin being empty??? :rolleyes1

OH YEA! I almost forgot. I also rewatched LeFleur last night and picked up on something that I didn't the first time.

When they caught back up to Daniel he said that Charlotte was here, then she left and we stayed???? As in she flashed and they didn't. Did anyone else pick up on that?? I'm not sure what that means. Or maybe it means nothing since Daniel was a bit out of it that episode.

I might have just blew my own theory about Bernard and Rose. :headache:

Okay. DUH. I didn't even consider that Locke time-traveled after turning the FDW. I just assumed he landed in Tunisia in present time (2005).
What does FDW stand for? I have seen it other places and can't figure it out!! :headache:

It makes better television if he isn't over her. I'd hope that after 3 years, he'd stick with the one who has his back. :goodvibes
I think you are right. What better way to get the viewers talking and all riled up. :rotfl:

Thanks Heidict your explanation was simple and seems to have helped put everything into place for me! :thumbsup2
NO prob. It's one of the few things I grasped and understood (sorta). :rotfl:

I hope it's not them. I was looking forward to seeing them again. :sad1: I really don't think Jack could tell exactly how long they had been there. It depends on soooo much. The tempurature, the elements, the animals that come up to munch on them. He is just a surgeon. If he was a forensics pathologist then I wouldn't questions him, but not many surgeons are going to be able to tell you how long a decompsed/skelton has been hanging around. He could easily be off by 10 or 20 years.

FDW i think is the Donkey wheel. Not sure what the "f" is for though.

Jack said looking at their clothing they have been here for 40-50 years. He could be wrong, but that is what he said.

Oh, he did it by the clothing? Do you mean the style they were wearing or by their current state?

Not sure either would sway me on him though. If it was the clothes, they were wearing clothes that were current to the times and if it was the state of the clothes the elements would greatly effect them. Again, I woudn't trust Jacks view on the degeneration of cloth as an estimate as to their age. KWIM? :confused3

Yeah, okay. You got me. I'm not a Jack fan. I have tried and tried to like the guy, but I'm still having a hard time of it. :rotfl: Even so, I just don't think he would be able to discern anything concrete from his observations of the clothing.

Really, I'm just hoping that it's not them!!! :sad1:

F is for frozen.

Thank you!!! That would make sense. I heard alot of people calling it the donkey wheel, so frozen donkey wheel would make sense.

I thought of that. It makes the most sense. I always felt that Adam and Eve were actually living in the caves though. Rose & Bernard were only in 1954 for less than a day. Plus, I really don't want Rose & Bernard to be dead.:sad1: I always imagined they would live happily ever after to a ripe old age.

It stands for frozen donkey wheel. I think it is a term that the producers came up with.

I think he was referring to their deterioration. I'm trying to remember exactly what he said. Maybe I can rewatch tonight and post word for word.

I was a Jack fan in the beginning but now I am more of a Sawyer  girl. I'm also falling for Jin and Sun - I can't wait for them to reunite. I will probably cry! I think Jin because it has been harder for him - The language barrier and also learning about his wife's affair.

Also on one of the DVD commentaries the writers commented how they put Adam and Eve there for a purpose that would be revealed in the end. They also said they wanted us to know that they had thought it through to the end of the story even from the beginning and things like adam and eve were not there on 'accident' or just plain luck but that they do have a purpose in the whole story.

I like both Sawyer and Jack, but I hate Kate with both of them--she's toxic.

And I love Jin, but I'm really not thrilled with what they've done with Sun...no mom should leave her child behind like that.

I rewatched several Season 1 episodes over the weekend. Interesting tidbit for those who were trying to tie Annie to Kate...in the episode where the Australian farmer takes her in (and later rats her out) she tells him her names is...yup...Annie!

I'm still a big Jack fan, but definitely like Sawyer more than I used to, and don't mind Kate for either of them. Jack deserves someone better though.

Yes - How could Sun just leave her baby - perhaps she knows she will be taken good care of and will be safe - assuming Sun ever goes back home to her. I want to know where Aaron is, and who has him.
