Hey guys, Freddie died?!

Sorry I have been MIA for forever, things have just been crazy around here.

I regrettably have to drop out of fostering Freddie (or whoever has replaced him) this time around. DH won't commit to any plans whatsoever and so I don't even know what we're doing while we're down there with our families. I am beyond ticked right now but I will be wearing my Focker Watcher lanyard when we get to the World for a day or 2 and hopefully meet some of my fellow DISers

Hello everyone, We are looking to foster any croc. Not sure which one may be available. It sounds like there may be a gap next month. We are leaving on jan 25 at 1:30 AM (DW is not looking foward to that part) We need a croc to foster. Is there anyone out there that can help me with this?

Hi everyone ...

Here are some photo's of Flora and her trip with our family. We received Flora two days into our trip. We had already visited Magic Kingdom and MGM. Here is a pic of Flora upon her arrival.

My husband thought Flora looked a bit frazzled and decided that she needed a glass of wine and to relax on our lei that we got that eveing at O'Hana's

At AK we were up by the petting zoo, Flora wanted to get her pic taken with the goat. We were a bit worried that the goat was hungry but we managed to snap the pic before Flora became lunch

Flora and my kids met a talking recycleable trash can. He was very funny and was pleased to have his photo taken with Flora. I believe he said his name with Pipi (?) gosh, that darn can even spelled his name for me and I still forgot. He made a joke to Flora and told her "see ya later Alligator" and was pleased with himself and his corny joke

.

We went on Mt. Everest and afterwards Flora was very hungry. She decided that she wanted a snack ... yummy ... frozen bananas!!

Flora decided that she wanted to ride a bike through AK ... we had to catch her before she took off

We took the boat from AK to Wilderness Lodge for dinner at WCC. Flora enjoyed the boat ride but we had to watch her, I think she was wanting to take a swim

While eating dinner at WCC, Flora asked for another glass of iced tea ... oh boy .. how was she going to manage to drink this?

We took another trip to MK to get in some last rides the kids wanted to do. Flora bugged me to drive the speedway car. She was reckless! Don't let her drive, even is she begs you!!

Flora LOVES the teacup ride! I'm not to hip with this ride and I made Flora promise me she wouldn't spin us around fast. She was good until the end of that ride! Bad Flora!

Well, our final pic of Flora is waiting with my son's luggage before heading home.

Flora was a JOY!!! We had a lot of fun with her and she loved to hang on my lime green back pack.

Looking forward to passing Flora on and seeing her furture journeys.

Hey everyone! We returned from Orlando late last night. We had a great time...absolutely lovely weather until the last day (12/17 was 55 degrees!). Flower had a great time. She sure loves Florida!

I took pics the old fashioned way, so I have to drop them off for developing. I will post them as soon as I can.

We finally got Felize 3 days later after TaeKwonDo Mom shipped her(?) to us. She was at OKW and we are just down the street at SSR. I think a bell woman kidnapped her for a couple days.

Feliz toured MK with us Sunday and then helped us celebrate our 30th anniversary in EPCOT on Monday. The 17th was our day. We did a Magical Gathering with KristineN and her family and Jenn and her son. Thanks again to Kristine for inviting us to join in. Felize and I had fun trying all the different foods they offered.

Unfortunatly Faolan took a side trip before we got him. I'm not sure if he is back in action yet. We replaced him with Felix who I believe went missing in action after he was passed to connie1042.

These crocs seem to keep disappearing on us!

Well we've been home for 2-1/2 weeks but with the hustle and bustle of Christmas this is the first chance I've had to sit down and post some of our Flora pictures from our trip 12/4-12/9.

It was truly a magical Disney Christmas for our family - we can't wait to get to WDW during the holidays again - if not next year then 2009 for sure!

As for Flora - well she was a wonderful travel companion as usual and really got in the Christmas spirit.

We were staying at Saratoga Springs so we spent a lot of time in Downtown Disney doing some Christmas shopping, seeing all the decorations, and eating at Wolfgang Puck's.

Flora even got to see Cirque de Soleil !

We went to Animal Kingdom - Flora was prepared with her poncho to ride Kali River Rapids.

But the best night was at MVMCP with dinner at LTT. Flora had a great time!

We'll miss her and we can't wait to hopefully take her along again some time!

I have not been on the Dis in a while, but the other night my 7 year old started reminiscing about Flora and her stay with us last summer. We would love to sign up for her or any of the remaining crocks for our upcoming summer trip. We will be there from 8/10 to 8/24. Who do I ask?

I've been watching this thread because I was hoping someone would volunteer to take over but I haven't seen anyone say they are in charge now. I really want a croc for this year. We had Faolan last year and I fnd it upseting wondering if the Croc exchange will still be running by the time I go again in August. I've toyed with the idea of saying I'd volunteer to take over but being in England I just don't think it work out well.

Yeah, we got free dining. I think I called up the first week it was being offered. We pretty much came home from our trip last August and agreed to go the next year. I can't wait to go again. I've already started figuring up our adrs.

Good news guys. I have just pmed Disneyland_Mama and asked to take over the croc exchange. I am waiting for her reply with information and possible wisdom on how to run this exchange. I've never ran anything like this before so we all need to work together to make sure no more crocs get lost.

First things first I need to know who has a croc currently. As far as I can tell d4est still has Flower, KathVA has Flora and MikeS. has Felize? Anyone else have any of the MIA crocs? Can anyone with a croc please pm me so I can try to sort lists out? Can these people also tell me if the Crocs came with anything such as a notebook or clothing? These people will need to please mail their Crocs to the next person on the list once I have given them info on where to send them.

My first rule that we need to lose less of these crocs. If you say that you are going to pass the Croc onto the next person, you need to do that. We are adults and should be able to not lose stuffed animals. Ideally the exchange should be done by meeting the person in one of the parks and doing a hand off, mailing the croc out to the next person or leaving a package for the next person at their resort (this should only be used if there is a gap in the list since Disney seems to lose these packages).

*Rule change as of May 31: From now on all people taking part in this exchange must provide a tracking number along with the name of the service the package was sent with (ie: USPS, UPS, FedX, etc.) to both the next exchanger and me when sending any crocs. Having these tracking number will help us find lost crocs quicker and take some stress out of my life. Please provide your phone number as well as address to any DISer sending you a croc as this is sometimes required by the postal services.

My second rule is you have pass on information to me, as well as to the person before and after you. They need to know what resort you are staying at, your dates, your real name and e-mail address. If you are exchanging in person please provide the other person with a phone number you can be reached at disney so exchanges smoothly. This is so that if you can't make your scheduled meeting place you will be able to contact each other. If you can not make contact with the person before or after you before you leave for your trip, let me know and I will take them off the list.

Rule three is that before (if sent to you) or when return (if in person hand off) from your vacation you need to pm me or post and let me know whether you have gotten your croc and any items that come with from the person above you or not. I think doing this will make it easier to track down crocs that go MIA.

Last rule is have fun and post lots of pictures when you get back.
